@@TacoCrisma Xtra snare is because they swap back and forth on percussion. Lance will run high tom work while the percussion fills with the snare. When they are both hitting it, Lance runs a 6" snare and percussion 3" which makes for a heavier sound on the snare hits. Hard to hear on the back side of the kits, but from the front it would have a heavier pop when used together
2 things I love about this band 1 they are true to the gospel and have never compromised and they just kept getting better and better. Most bands do not achieve what these guys have.
Lance belongs in a tight group of excellent drummers, like with D. Lombardo, N. Menza, I. Cavalera, and so on. This entire band belongs towards the top of all metal bands of all time.

I got to see LS 20 years ago summer of 2001 with my dad when I was in high school! So great to see you dudes still playing live. Reborn is still an all-time favorite heavy worship album of mine

I dabble a bit but the main reason was, this was the 14th time I’d seen them and was just hanging out with DJ and Lances family and there were a bunch of dumb drunk people in front of the stage so I decided to record from the back.

Bruce and Lance are original, DJ was the original vocalist. Rocky and Arthur came along later but have actually been members longer than the original other members!
I have plenty of other videos of them where you can. This was a situation where the front of the stage was occupied mostly by annoying drunk people, plus I was hanging with the bands family.
I like LS with a percussionist and mark is a good drummer....but he was having a hard time staying in step with Lance through several songs. I hope they work more together and work out the bugs and timing.
Well sir, you are the only one complaining. The other side of the stage was full of drunk morons and I got to hang out with DJ and Lances family the whole show. Most appreciated the cool drummer view.

As a drummer myself, I really love watching Lance at work since the early days!

It’s cool for a few songs, but it’s cleaner and less busy with one good drummer. Igor Cavalera doesn’t use a helper.
