    EXCELLENT Presentation. A lot of people can certainly learn from you how a introduce + demo a product should be conducted ! BRAVO! Would be nice to hear this demo expanded with P 90 and humbucking pup guitars too.

    This pedal just kicked my Timmy off my board. What an amazing sound this thing produces!!!

    Great stuff man! Subbed!
    I’m definitely gonna have to check this out for my channel. I played it at NAMM this year but it’s so different than actually running it through your own rig! Great review and walk through brotha

    My recommendation after living with this pedal is move the lights higher up when you step on the buttons you can't see the lights so if you're trying to see the 25% increase it's hard to tell

    Excellent demo.. I'm a firm believer in KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. If I'm trying to navigate all these hold this down, tap that, hold both down, while playing music my connection with who I'm playing with and what I'm playing is going to be lost.

      It's incredibly intuitive and is only as complicated to operate as you want it to be. Set each side to the color you think sounds best, tweak the controls to match your amp, and then kick on each switch when you need that flavor. No tap dancing if you don't want to.

      Im with ya on keeping it simple. I have a golden boy that I use with a midi controller so I dont need to tap and hold anything. Ive got it set for 4 different sounds that I engage via midi with individual switching. This and the midi controller actually take up less room on my board than the 3 overdrives I used to have on there.

    Well actually it is midi controllable but not exactly fully controllable. Which it is still fine but differs from the description given in the video.
    There are some CC command that can be sent to the pedal and those can be found on the manual of the golden boy. Those commands can set the drive on and off or set the levels of the gain (4 levels/percentages), etc.
    You can not though control the eq or the volumes of the drive or the boost.

    I was pretty skeptical that this would be all that interesting or unique... I was wrong! This is crazy cool/versatile! It’s only money... right?

      It's definitely extremely versatile! I would definitely recommend, it's worth the price of admission!

    Hey Michael, I just got the Golden Boy. What I find really annoying is the slight lag when engaging the drive or boost side. It's the only thing that is not so cool about the pedal. Everything else is just pure gold! It sounds amazing! Do you feel the same about the lag? I imagine it super annoying in a recording setting...

    • @michaelkissingermusic3783
      @michaelkissingermusic3783  3 года назад +2

      So I too used to think it was lag in the pedal but I’ve come to realize that it actually had to do with how the foot switch on this pedal works. Most pedal activate once the foot switch is pressed down, but this pedal is designed so it activates only one the foot switch is released. So the trick is to press the switch really fast which cuts down on how long it takes to activate. Hope that helps!

    Seems like some clashing rhythms in the intro piece 🤔. Unless it was meant to be polyrhythmic

    Would you recommend this or the broken arrow for Mayer tones?

    • @adampearson1541
      @adampearson1541 3 года назад

      John Mayer supposedly used a Marshall bluesbreaker on continuum, which is what this is based on. Broken Arrow is based more on a Tubescreamer.

    You don't have the problem if volume increase as you gain cycle up? Some guys have been reporting this.

    • @michaelkissingermusic3783
      @michaelkissingermusic3783  3 года назад +1

      There is a slight volume increase, but I think people that are bothered by that are playing mostly by themselves, or in a studio. I found in a live band situation that's exactly what I want. If we go to the a part of the song where I'd want to use more gain the drummer and rest of the band will be going up in volume as well, so the volume increase is perfect.

      @@michaelkissingermusic3783 Hi, I received mine last week. First time with it I was playing with a drummer. That thing is absolutely insane and I love it! Yes, it increases a bit, but that's what you want. my clean and slightly overdriven parts need to be slightly less loud than heavier and compressed distortion. I think it's perfect. I'll tell you what too... With the gain cycling all the way up and a slight drop in mid, this thing can play metal THROUGH A CLEAN AMP! I'm literally blown away.
