Yay! The first video of 2019! We didn’t spend much time in Iceland, but we squeezed out the fun of every minute during our 18 hour layover. The blue Lagoon is 80 bucks, which is kinda insane...but we splurged and loved it.
Spent seven years in Iceland courtesy of the US Navy. Loved it and the Blue Lagoon. When we were there the first time it was just the lagoon. The second time they had started putting up a fence. It was free then. It was windy and cold but was with my beautiful wife so that made it perfect. Take care, Al
Kudos to you TWO for positive attitude on walking....we take it for granted but like biking, its sooooooooo good for our bodies and spirits ( I’m sure in your case warm cloths helped ) Thanks for another beautiful video👍😊
This video really helped me understand the beautiful nature of the blue lagoon. It helped me a lot to bring the fine details in my story, which is basically a group trip to Iceland. The video capture the beautiful, calm atmosphere so nicely. Thnx so much for this video.
You definitely max the 18 hours.. I’m planning a trip to Ireland soon.. if I can swing it.. I’ll have a long layover in Iceland & do the same thing.. Brilliant 😎
Skyr is delicious. In mid / eastern / northern Europa we have something very similar. In German it is called quark or topfen. It is the base of cheese cake. It tastes great with mashed fruits. Or quark with onions, garlic and kitchen herbs (sometimes also linseed oil) on top of boiled potatos as a savory dish.
Everyone having drinks in the pool reminded me of my first trip to Sweden, I went to a Sauna, a bunch of Harley drivers from Finnland came in an had one beer after the other.... guess that’s what you do when it’s dark most of the day....anyways, I adapted to the habit without regrets 😂
That place looks amazing! I had a layover there a few years ago but didn't go to the Blue Lagoon because of the $80 price tag but now I wish I did! I guess next time I go back to Iceland I'll have to check it out because it looks like it's worth the $$.
With all that silica it is probably the reason the water is that color.... What an amazing place though. I always dream of going there. Just a while ago i found your channel. I am sorry you are no longer with Ali. Beautiful soul, just like you. Aloha
I have been all over the world, and have come to realize that if "your" not willing to act like a tourist sometimes and go to some "really big tourist sites," that you will miss out on some VERY cool things; The Blue Lagoon is one of them!
Have been binge watching all your videos and they have been great! 👍🤙How on earth are you and Ali not still together?🤷♂️... ok, none of my business but, man you two sure make a great couple 🙌 What can we do to make this happen?
The thumbnail was kinda click bait water was deep blue but I'm glad I got baited cause I enjoyed the video. Felt like I was there in the water. Subbed. Good job👍
Lol I feel you Iceland has a population of over 100 thousand people and I found out that us the tourist will feed them all year round . That’s why they’re so expensive and I completely compare it like a casino. Once you’re in casino they will empty our pockets lol. I promise myself never Iceland again . From Renting a car to hotels restaurants lol all expensive don’t go unless your rich and have lots of $$$. Tourist traps lol but cost from airport to downtown $25 or more and if you need a taxi it cost about $200 to the airport lol . Tourist trap for sure

Niceland! $80 USD per person for the hot-springs? Looks like a great time and a nice way to spend an 18 hour layover ;
freddixon 80 bucks was a little much, but it was Christmas so.....splurged
Kinda miss Alli,
Or I miss you and Alli together.
Skyr is probably one of the few things in that grocery that isn't delivered by plane or boat.
