You know it's something special when you can tolerate all the bugs. I'm playing this more than NMS now!
Well, I left NMS for Empyrion. A much better game in my mind. Spacebourne is a great game. Really get the Freelancer vibe from it and have missed that since Frreelancer.
I played for 15 hours strait I had to go to bed I am an old man. Told my wife this is my life for a few weeks don't bother me LOL! LOVING IT!

Wolfram and Asortak are the top two, 6XP and 7XP respectively. So if you want to leveling up fast, choose them.
Also, Wolfram is at 12k TY and Asortak 22.5 TY.
To mine them, do your tunneling thing like on your video, but instead of mining with the misactor, return to the platform to park it and EVA to the ore and mine it by hand.
Once you're there, setup your mining tool to max efficiency and lower power. By doing that, you'll get the maximum nuggets number possible without destroying the ore itself. You can mine afk with some help (like something on your left and right mouse buttons e.g, or by using auto clic apps).
Also, these ore are the less dense/m3. That's means you can carry a lot of stack without overheighting your ship. But even if you overheighting your ship, you'll be the richest guy of the galaxy in few hours.
With Asortak, you can leveling up a full rank in 2 or 3 hours. Ranking the mining guild is the easiest one to do with that tip.
at least until you get your Misactor efficiency up to the 90's. then you can go hog wild with it. But to do that you will have to increase your Pilot class and get better equipment.
@@torrancerichter1469 I didn't find out how increasing Misactor efficiency. Is there shortcuts to do that like with the hand mining tool ?
after you load your ship with the 3 stacks of ore, go to cargo screen. Select a stack of 99, right click on it and select compress., This will create 1 box of ore, usually less weight than the stack of 99. Not sure on the sell price of the crate versus raw ore though. BUT... this functionality IS affected by your Adventurer stats. So, its something to keep in mind and experiment a little (just save before you attempt anything)
IT dose reduce the price. but there are tallents to ensure it loose no value
@@DowntoEarthAstronomy There is an adventurer skill called Compressor which lets you stack into a single crate with less weight and +60% of price of the stack. T2 is +100%.

As soon as I watched the introduction video for this game I bought it. Dnloading now and can't wait to play. Great video. You have my sub.
I have a hard time accepting the fact that this game was made by one man. Role play, guilds, bounty hunting, on foot combat, mining, exporation, trading, piracy, base building, character build aspects and tens of thousands of planets? I dont care how buggy it is, this is a true gem. I cant imagine if this guy had a 50 person crew. And no, falling through floors is not an issue in this one.
you can falll through stuff, get stuck in texture, end up flying in jumpsuit 10's of km beneath planet surface.... and yet none of this takes away from the enjoyability of this game... can't wait for next weeks planned big update post 1.5.0 😊
Just did AFK mining last night (10 hours) Asortak 77.7 mil from a single easy-to-find asteroid in an L1 system. Used a rubber band to hold down my mouse buttons all night.
And yes still 1 Dev.... that is crazy lol so much content + story + Factions which you can crush and build your own Stations, Towns, Armies and more xD

Whilst this is true, I enjoyed D2EA persisting with his unique pronunciation of the word - as well as accounting for English not necessarily being D2EA's "mother tongue".
I much prefer the extra syllable, than having our friends on the other side of the Atlantic (relative to Europe) routinely butchering words by omitting one or more letters and syllables. Pertinent examples:
- Alumin*i*um -> gets butchered into "aluminum"
- Antarctica -> gets butchered into "anardica" (It pains me to see even someone learned, like Neil deGrasse Tyson fall into this trap!)
- Solder -> "sodder" (this one I actually find amusing, rather than grating!)
Amazing how one dev made all of this..
He has a lot of experience and knows the right people. I do not think he makes everything himself.
Still though, even if someone did textures for him, that is a lot of coding.

Down to Earth I purchased the Carrier Ship and necessary Component's. However when I deployed my Small Mining Ship I had no Bombs, Worms, or Tunnels. I went back to the station and discovered. That my Component's where on my Ship that I had docked. Note when I opened Ship Services. There were Icons installed on my Carrier. Which looked like the component's were installed already. Heads up they were not installed.
I still think it's great that a solo developer is doing what some other much bigger studios/games will not do or add. My hat goes down to him and what he has planned for this title. 1 was also a great game
When i can give a Tipp, Put the Regulator on 99% Effiency, then go to what you want to Mine per Hand, and then put on the Right and Left mouse button anything you want to let it Shoot the Whole time, let it make this Overnight, or Over the Day, and your Earning will be the Money you get, the Field will give you more then when you Destory it instead you not Destroy it and can farm the whole day^^
Mining is busted in this game... you make more money using the hand drill at 98% efficiency and tapeing your mouse buttons down... as long as you don't move the ore doesn't disappear. Also you want to find an asteroid that doesn't have any ore on the outside. It will have very expensive ore inside it somewhere you just have to search for it. It's worth 10x more than gold.
This is genius! Left my game runnning overnight with my phone balanced on my mouse...result is over 2 million TY!
Can confirm, there doesn't seem to be an upper limit, I just hauled in 4 full stacks of Gold, 3 full stacks of Wolfram and 2 full stacks of astrok.
find the assorted asteriods, when you find its green material called Asortak I think, stow the misactor and eject and mine the stone manually with 99% efficiency, you'll thank me later

That said. WOW this is a freah take on mining. You start EVA?! Why is that so satisfying...and you can upgrade? Mining from ships, with drones, having hired others or issued missions to your faction for it?
I figured out I can remap the aim and shoot buttons to the down and right arrow keys on keyboard then I aim my laser mining gun at asortak and proceed to carefully place my Xbox controller on keyboard so the handle part sits perfectly on the 2 arrow keys on keyboard and then I watch RUclips videos while periodically pushing F6 to quick save lol😂
Get a sniper, Join the mercenary guild, do the ones that don't pay you any money, instead you have to loot all the buildings by kicking in the doors. After you snipe everyone from range. Can easily get a million in around 20 minutes from selling the loot found there. Also gear for your ships and character. Helps to have a ship with alot of cargo space. I use a carrier with about 92 cargo spaces for this.

Wolfram is what you want to go for, trust me on that. It's worth twice the value of platinum. I also found an asteroid that had 'assorted' on it but was already full so couldn't check it out. Also not sure if there's anything more valuable than wolfram?
Asortak (green stuff) is over 22k. Both wolfram and that are 7 xp per piece though.

One word folks, "Wolfram". If you can find a asteroid with it, get it all. 8,200/per, more than twice platinum and almost 4x gold.

for the mining laser, 93% efficiency is best, keeps the power and you lose less ore.

The more I see about this gamr the more I want it. My PC cannot run it and is not on Geforce Now. If it was there, it would be an instant buy for me at this point.
Villager raiding is the biggest profit maker, i made over 2 mil @ lvl 7 collecting lvl 35 spacesuits worth 150k-250k each from one village. They drop from the security Guards. But you only get soldier xp.

Could you please make more on mining, such as the best items to mind and artifacts. Would be very usesful, as there isn't any guide inside the game.
I can't wait until mining is in a good spot. You can make money, but destroying one fighter can drop you a component worth more than that entire trip of mining ore. Even the pods and selling one prisoner can make hundreds of thousands.
I'm having a hard time using a Kybd/Mouse during the flight training part. Tried using a Steam Controller, not much better. I wish I could go straight to mining & adventure instead of combat first.
try turning down the sensertivity of your mouse or keypad. I actually play with mouse and keyboard. I find that better goodluck. And slow down when dogfighting. And dont forget to damage shields first, with the lasers then the guns to damage the hull.
I do hope the ship position flipping 180 is a bug that will be fixed eventually. It's not a big deal but annoying when you position it one way when getting out and its not that way once ejected.

Where is the keybind for the drone control? My mmb doesn't work anymore so I had to rebind my lock on to tab. But the drone tools for the worm and bomb I can't use and I don't see them listed anywhere in the keybinds.

It's official. Im joining the miners guild and doing nothing but mining now.
ok so at the time of this posting the date is 9/8/2023. That starter mining ship is now 5,514,567ty. Crazy stuff.
everytime i go to the ship terminal theirs only 2 ships available for 6 million and 9 million, its really annoying

I am not getting any Miner's Guild xp when I mine. I am stuck at 30% into lvl 1. Makes no difference whether I manually mine or with misactor, 0 Miner's Guild xp.
How do you get your hand miner a constant beam? I have to keep pressing my mouse button every second.

@D2EA, how long did it take to mine that ore? These payouts are not bad below level 20. I ask because I'm not sure how payouts would scale compared to combat loot + captured pods.
currently mining is way way slower than anything else... but there may be changes to that ;)

hand mining with 99% eff 1% power is the best way! the mining ships are not worth the effort. one gold spot i can fill me cargo WAY FASTER then the ship mining lasers. (unless you can change the eff of the ship miner. i didnt see one)

This doesn’t work anymore. 40+ mins and only got 56 pieces of gold.
I was able to do this last night with Gold but had to find a spot in the gold deposit that seemed to be harder and adjust the power up to just before it destroys the rock. I was able to mine just over 400 pieces in about 50 minutes. Its not as easy as before but is still possible.
spacebourne 2 is a single player. Come to think of it, I've never had a single player money problem in the last 30 years. That's why I prefer multiplayer coop games.

I admit I'm having trouble getting past the intro stuff. I haven't seen any of these game mechanics or places yet.. So far I've been trying to shoot down some crappy ships in my crappy ship, and it's really a turn-off. SB2 really needs a better intro for new players
