as a hairdresser I love the classic brush and blow dryer better because you can give more movement to your hair with the brushes and I feel that you can't with the Revlon because it looks like it's not round.

Right. It’s more of an oval shape.

Not really a fair comparison. You would have to compare the Voltage and Watts as well if you are using a high end, expensive blow dryer... With that being said it looks like the Revlon side has more body....

I have the Revlon One Step, it is a lot easier for me to use than a separate brush and blow dryer. I have naturally wavy, somewhat curly, almost waist length hair that tends to frizz. The Revlon does give volume and is quicker.

I just purchased an Olivia Garden brush, I have been using the Revlon drier but it pulls so much hair out. I am going back to the brush and dryer. I also think I will get more movement with my hair and can direct my hair into a style with the brush. She has more height on the brush side too.

both turned out good but I agree...the brush alone just got a bit more of the frizz and had more control to style a bit. I would want to use the simplest since i never style my hair but as i get older I'm noticing my super straight hair showing more frizz...it really shows on straight hair bad

I just got the Revlon One Step. I agree, can’t put too close to head or face and can’t use on “high”. In that setting it’s just too hot to use (I have short hair- so maybe different for someone with longer hair). Love it though. I was able to dry and smooth my hair with one device in less than 15 mins.

The brush side has less flyaways or frizz. I have both those brushes and love them! I have two old Revlon blow-dryer round brushes: their first versions I think, but they don't put out a lot of heat, and my hair has flyaways and frizz after using them. I am so tempted to try this new model though!

Hi Heidi, thank you for the tip of using Olivia Garden brush. I just tried the first time the NT54 size. I have no idea if it's a good size (I have same lenghts as you) but it worked well. The only issue is that it's quite time consuming at first. Do you maybe have a video about tips and tricks of making your hair? I tried to do like you did in your videos but as a beginner it's quite difficult still. Maybe you could make such kind of video in the future. Heidi, imagine, I have frizzy hair just since 2 years (hormonal reasons after my children were born?) so I was surprised to see that my hair could look the same as it was 2 years ago just with air drying or blow drying. So thank you so much! :)

I have both of these items and I like the gold brush better. My gold tourmaline brush, the bristles are not a straight row, they go around the barrel. Mine has bore hair and nylon to grip the hair better too. Your hair came out lovely. The Revlon doesn't blow air enough to even dry the root area. BTW, where can I get the Primont all in one leave in? I'm in the US and can't find it. Thank you for posting!

I would like to see a comparison of two devices that actually function the same way. A brush that heats up with a nozzled Blow dryer over it and actual technique is not the same as a device that blows air out of it and from a hairdressing perspective would potentially cause more frizz .
Most people can’t easily round brush their own hair, so it’s not the best comparison for the average joe .

i have the revlon and revlon is so easy to use and sorry there is a better way to use it.. My hair is long have thick strands and very had to have a satin smooth finish. You need to alternately roll the brush under and at the top of your hair. To finish it off you need to roll it inside and hold it for a while like 5-8 seconds.
