How the hell do you not know who Stan Smith is?
50 years from now almost nobody will know who Federer, Nadal, or Djokovic are. In 50 years after that, only a literal handful of tennis historians will even recognize those names. Ask people under 20 if they know who Andre Agassi is - less than 1% will know.
@@datacipher I'm only vaguely interested in Tennis and 63 and yet I know all those names. Or is your point based on the fact that because of things like the internet and Tiktok - no-one needs to know or remember anything and everything of importance is only within the youth immediate social network bubble and all else is irrelevant?
@@someblokecalleddave1 sigh....I knew you were lacking in perspective, but when you say you're 63 and know those names, I wonder if you are even competent. Of course you know Federer - I SAID 50 YEARS FROM now. Of course you know Agassi - YOU"RE 63 NOT 17. I explicitly set those delimiters.
.... and I"m sure you're a huge Fraser, Patty, Drobny, and Petra fan right? THAT would be the equivalent for people your age. DO you think a lot of people in your cohort now Drobny? FAR less than 1% as I said. Far less than 1% know Don Budge and he was far greater than ANY of the players mentioned.
This has absolutely nothing to do with social media.
