Jimmy super stoked because im watching a new show "Making It" and i see you. Make me super happy. I met Nick Offerman in Monterey 2 years ago and i asked if he has seen your videos. He looks me dead in the eye and says" Yup" and then giggles. Thank you for all the wonderful videos. I watch them with my daughters

I watched Hand Tool Rescue’s video first, so this feels like the behind the scenes/directors cut of his video. It’s nice to get to see different aspects of the project. Awesome job fellas.

I was at the local woodworker store and saw an elderly gent and his son in law asking about bandsaw. I couldn't help but listen to the salesman trying to get this dude to pony up on a tiny Rikon saw for $700. I had 2 14 in Deltas at home, one to restore (worked perfectly) and one that I use so when they were leaving I told him I had what he needed and I'd let it go for a mundo, 30 minutes later this guy had a 1944 Delta 14 in band saw in his truck. This video j7st reminded me of that guy and the amazing intarsia he makes, great video thanks for posting.

Fun to watch. I really enjoyed it. I've got one my late dad bought in 1950/51 with the badge marked Delta, without the Rockwell. Original tyres, blade, plastic knobs, mobile stand and casters, work light and no rust. Always kept in a dry garage. Still runs great today.

I have this same model I bought from an 87 year old cabinet maker in Chicago about 18 years ago for $150. It was 3 phase so got a new motor and replaced the tires. My model has the built in light with the wiring through the cast upper arm but no extension. Great machine.

Great job, great idea with the clear coat finish! one small thing, don't forget to make a lock pin to go on the outboard end of the table slot, if you look at the edge you will see the hole for it, it is to keep the table from flexing on the slot, easy to turn a taper pin with a knurled end on the lathe.

Oh man this brings back pain. Back in the late 60s I started restoring this very cool old band saw I got in a trade .Some one had just painted it with some almost clotted paint .So I hade this Brain fart, I'll just take the torch and get rid of this paint will just as the paint started to go so did the blade cover my fantastic ornate cover was you guessed it zinc I still have the puddle I let dry on the floor drilled a hole in hung up to just remind my self how smart I was not . Happy trails just a story from an old fart that loves you channel.

My "new" 1993 delta 14" bandsaw also has a lifter kit for tall boards. I got to know it's minty unrusted inside when I tipped it over and broke some of the blade adjustment die castings under the table. 25 years into it, I still use it ~ once a week.

Mr. DiResta...big fan of your videos and I totally appreciate your expertise. I need to offer one piece of advise. I've noticed in more than a few videos that your watch bracelet is very loose. I believe that it's a Rolex oyster bracelet. They are very well made and strong. If it ever got caught up on some machine you are operating it is strong enough to snap your wrist. I suggest finding a comfortable spot on your arm/wrist and removing a link to tighten it down. you can fine tune the fit by adjusting the pins at the clasp. I have worked in jewelry manufacturing factories for 28 years.
