Guys I believe the free shipping is only on the “subscription” based orders.. one time orders you may have to pay shipping... but I will clear it up with the team and update this pined post ✊🏻 love an respect to all
Maybe it's free just for USA and Canada... Still it is improvement since regular store did not ship to Montenegro when I wanted ice picks. Had to get it trough mail forwarding service which failed as it is "weapon"... better luck next time
i can't even begin to imagine what James Hoffman will think of your grinder, but I certainly was entertained. And you can also use the thing to cut onions!
Ah, I love these old-school, problem-solving, upcycling vids. Reminds me of when I first started watching your stuff. Beautiful, and so inspiring. Kudos!
Amazing. My Dad's Uncle Arthur had one of the grinders in his workshop. When we visited his farm my brother and I would play with the grinder and sharpen whatever we thought needed it. LOL. Thanks for the memory and sharing the video.
What a fabulously uplifting and inspiring video, such ingenious solutions, all held together with delicate but strong Tig welding, all doing exactly what is needed with the flywheel marshalling everything into strong and powerful grinding. Really great cheer up and motivator for me after several days of struggling with the legacy breathing effects of Covid or what ever made my breathing bad. Thanks for sharing!
This is one of the most enjoyable videos from Jimmy in a long time. Not crapping on his recent videos - I just really enjoyed this one. I think what I liked most was that I had no idea what he was going to do next. What wound be the next problem/design requirement and what wound be the answer. I don’t drink coffee and I’ll never make a coffee grinder but it was truly fun to watch the thought and build process. Thanks.
Oh this was a fun build! I always enjoy watching you design on the fly based on what you find laying around the shop like this. Positioning the the mounting ring for the bean jar/blade carrier with that janky pile of clamps and welding the support arms directly into place was pure genius!
this is why you should always keep a lot of things even if u think ur never gonna use it, its all about momentum, cause if u would have to get all these little pieces to u, u would have lose momentum and the project would have probably sat un a corner of the shop never finish, love and respect for all ur creativity jimmy, i really do enjoy all of your hard work and dedication, thanks for everything.
I really really like this one, specially since I have that old hand-crank grinder similar to yours. It was something that my granpa bought, to keep his knifes sharped, and when I see it in the video dude.. brought me back some good memories!
Love it, you can really feel the frustration in the opening! Everyone else would go to Walmart, but problem solving with what you have is always more interesting and educational!
I'd like to believe that this entire video was shot between 8am and 9am one morning as Jimmy desperately tries to get some coffee before starting the real work for the day, probably with Taylor in the background complaining 'Jimmy, where's my morning coffee???'
For me the best part is, you did not make permanent changes to the grinder. You can still disassemble your mods and continue using it as it was. Brilliantly improvised and well done 👍🏼
That's one heavy duty coffee grinder.... stumbled on one of your videos (grinder guard loop) and then saw this one and I gotta say, good work, I like the way your mind works
Ah, when you need a flywheel so you just walk over and grab one from your pile of available flywheels. I know this feeling well. Thanks for another great build video, always fun to have a peek at your shop. Hope I can attend a camp or class there someday, seems like maker mecca.
Very clever and well made, well done. The only amendment l would possibly consider making is to detach the crank handle so that when you turn the handle with a few good turns, you could take the handle off in order for the momentum to continue turning the fly wheel and gringing coffee.
This video feels like its 2014 again and we're watching you in your NYC shop :) Love ya, Jimmy, I'm excited to see everything you do with Diresta Outpost!
every italian will be disappointed on how you made your coffee LoL anyway great build, it's always nice to create without a plan ... 100% creativity and upcycling

What flashlight do you have on your hat? I'm also a hat-light guy and need a replacement!
Ohlight
@jimmydiresta looks like it's fixed now; free shipping to the UK makes a $76 one-off order into a $21 order.
I hope you're not losing money!
I can't believe you're selling your own coffee now, you absolute madman.
I've never had soap and coffee together before but there's a first for everything and I'm able to support one of my favorite RUclipsrs while doing so.
thank you 🙏
Keep up the awesome work and thank you Jimmy!!
You don't drink your coffee in the shower every morning?
Alright, I'll put soap in my coffee as well to offer support.
@@jrod1995.. while crying? :D

I bet he would be very entertained and he would remind us that French press is the most forgiving brewing method
See a fellow Hoffman follower here :-) Well, its a blender for sure, not grinder :-)
You can't cut onions Gordon Ramsey would be upset 🤣

Love your videos. I learned a lot by watching you. Thank you for your skills and knowledge on how stuff functions properly.

That coffee mug at the end cracks me up!!! Cause all along I’m watching and thinking “the man can do EVERYTHING!”

Very cool blender

Thanks.
Man after my own heart. Nothing nicer than freshly ground coffee 😉 great video Jimmy
Quick change coffee grinder.
Love a good Diresta engineering video in the morning.
Oh yes😛
Hot-swappable
It's not a coffee grinder, it's a coffee chopper. And a chopper isn't good for coffee beans.
These builds are what make you my hero. Your ingenuity truly sets you apart. Great build buddy!

I love all of the vises that showed up in the video. Especially the tiny ones
Absolutely love these videos where you use junk.. amazing like always.
So cool to see how you put all of that together and the Chris Zep Coffee mug at the end was such a perfect light hearted way to end it. ❤
Pretty badass that you can source, design, manufacture and enjoy your coffee grinder without leaving your house!
If the coffee doean't wake you, the sound of that gear box should start to! A great and fun build Mr. Diresta.
I got a fright when the flywheel popped of the lathe chuck but the coffee mug at the end explained it all 😂
Thanks Jimmy. Always enjoy your videos.
This is why I love these videos. More justification to retain my dumpster dive inventory.
Awesome project. Amazing skills dude. Respect!
This is among my favorite all time diresta videos. That is no small thing.
Thank you ✊🏻
I really really like this one, specially since I have that old hand-crank grinder similar to yours. It was something that my granpa bought, to keep his knifes sharped, and when I see it in the video dude.. brought me back some good memories!
Classic Diresta over complicated build for something fairly simple. Gotta love it
There is no better channel on RUclips than Diresta.
😇
Jimmy, everything is so simple and brilliant! I am very impressed! Thanks! Keep doing great things!
Love it, you can really feel the frustration in the opening! Everyone else would go to Walmart, but problem solving with what you have is always more interesting and educational!
Nothing will wake you up...like catching a finger in that flywheel. Awesome design and a pleasure to watch.
All before he had his coffee. What a trooper.
Awesome project. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work Jimmy. Keep Making. God Bless.
A fantastic Diresta-Built product. Heath Robinson would be so proud.👍🏻
I'm not a coffee drinker but this video proves once again that Jimmy can make anything from anything! 👍👍😉😉👌👌
I've wondered what to turn my grinder into.... Now I know what it was meant to be! DIRESTA innovation is so inspiring!
Another Jimmy masterpiece!!!, and totally green powered!!!!!
I loved it Jimmy. This typen of awesomeness is why I started following you years ago. You are truly an inspiration to the maker community!
I'd like to believe that this entire video was shot between 8am and 9am one morning as Jimmy desperately tries to get some coffee before starting the real work for the day, probably with Taylor in the background complaining 'Jimmy, where's my morning coffee???'
I‘m impressed. You do really a lot for a good cup of coffee… 👍🏻😊
It's like a Victorian era "Magic Bullet" blender! 😁 Love it! 🛠
This totally takes me back your “Dirty Money” days. Epically awesome, as always. Now off I go to find one of those coffee mugs...
Jimmy‘s post apocalyptic coffee grinder. Very ingenious all the used parts used especially the light.
I could smell the coffee through my headphones! ☕ Thanks Jimmy!
Hahaha! Now that is some strong coffee 🤣
The slurp at the end was worth watching this until the absolute end. Great work!
Diresta ingenuity is on another level.
Why can’t I like Jimmy’s videos more than once?
Absolute genius, Jimmy. Frontier coffee grinding at its finest 👍🏼
The coffee mug at the end... good stuff. Well done Jimmy.
I love the cameo of my favorite DIRESTA file cabinet! That video got me hooked on woodworking.
This is the thing that make special. You can make anything from nothing. God bless you
Genius! Instead of replacing an entire unit when it dulls, all yah need is a 10c Craft blade! Awesome as always Jimmy.
That is one of the coolest things I have seen in a long time. Thanks my friend.
For me the best part is, you did not make permanent changes to the grinder. You can still disassemble your mods and continue using it as it was. Brilliantly improvised and well done 👍🏼
That is one of the most Diresta things i have seen!!! That is cool!!
I would love to see you build a actual grinder. This one is more like a blender. I am curious as to how hard it would be to align the burrs or stones
I came to say the above but then in not such a friendly way ;).
But we did see problem solving and an entertaining build and Jimmy got to drink his coffee!
I was thinking the same thing. :) (Especially since I haven't made my pour-over yet this morning...)
@@SpareroomWoodworking don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the video alot, as I always do. Just don't think a coffee slicer will do justice to the coffee.

This is so good I paused the video to flush the toilet so I didn't miss anything! 😁
One hour later and I've seen this three times. It's just oustanding. Congrats Jimmy. Greetings from 🇲🇽
This has taken place as my favorite build of yours. It’s dethroned your awesome smoker!
I, as well, do not like to remove any of my watch links. I like to wear it very loose just incase i gain 100 pounds overnight.
Hahaha!
Another nice work.
Your dexterity with hands is impressive. Great artist.
This is awesome! I love how I sometimes don’t know where you’re going with the build then it at clicks and it’s like “now I get it”! Great job!
Brilliant. That sip at the end was the perfect
What a cool heirloom piece. I need to make a coffee grinder now.
Barista Diresta! I love that machine!👏😄
Love the crinkly bag sounds , nice build D

Amazing work, Jimmy! Really well done! 😃
And who can resist to a freshly grinded coffee... Right? 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
This video is cool AF! I love that you can remove the canister on the fly. The mug and the slurp totally make it!
I can't decide which of the thousand things I love about this build makes me smile the hugest. Solid work as always, my friend!

That slurp and “aaaaah” at the end, brilliant. Top work again Jimmy. 👍🏻
Best vid for ages mate. Awesome stuff.
What a beautiful final piece. Well done Jimmy
You're unbelievable 😄👏🏻👍🏻 First I thought you are using a lamp shield for feeding, but this...this is unbelievable😄
my grand father had such a hand cranked stone grinder in the basement 30 years ago....nostalgia
Jimmy just made an instant antique, sure to be found in an exhibit of the Jimmy DiResta Museum many years from now. Love it!
I appreciate your blade/chopper utilization. I had assumed more of a grinder/smasher, but that works a treat!
Jimmy my Hero!!! thanks for another inspiration video!!!
You never cease to amaze. Awesome
Why is it whenever I'm binging diresta videos, a new video is posted, it's like dead on everytime
Just another incredible build. Wow.
Imaginative build. Thanks for sharing it.

That's about the best use of one of those hand powered grinders I've ever seen. Mine just sits in the shop collecting dust and spider webs.
Well, Mr. Diresta, I thought for a moment that I was also going to harvest the coffee. excellent
omg with a proper burr set instead of a blade this is a trendy designer coffee grinder. fly wheel and geared crank is brilliant.
Steampunk Coffee Grinder..
what's not to love..
Well done sir
That’s super you are my favorite RUclips channel and best diy
This is some Doc Brown level madness - love it
Jimmy, your dedication to a cup of fresh ground coffee is truly over the top. 👍🏼😁
this is inherently Diresta! Love it
that's genius jimmy! you're incredible my dude!
A strict “From the Junk Heap/Treasure Trove” build would be a cool recurring theme. Great video once again, and thanks as always for sharing.
awesome oldscool selfmade machines! Perfect!
Enjoyed the ASMR at the end. Great build.
How to solve a simple problem. The Jimmy Diresta way. Brilliant as ever.
I thought was kinda maybe ok at building ...... whatever from junk but you're the master. I love it
Taylor must look forward to waking up to that in the morning. Glad to know I’m not alone. My wife often is perplexed by my activities in the morning.
