The part that always gets me is Dre, the first victim in the film, is still out there as a mind slave. Horrific.
Yeah, I don’t think they ever say if there’s a way to reverse the possession.
@@harmonetheanimationaddict4419 there isn't. He's forever trapped watching his body being puppeted by a racist bastard who should of died decades ago.
@@harmonetheanimationaddict4419 its not their brain anymore so its safe to say the only way out is death
I think he's just doomed. Even if The Family got destroyed, the other members are hidden away and Chris doesn't remember their faces, if you count the deleted scene
I forgot about dre.
so glad you finally covered The Armitage Family from Get Out
The Bible is truth. The key to understanding that is in the inner work Jesus Christ taught. Forgiveness heals a part of your soul that keeps you blind to the spiritual realm. To be forgiven we must forgive. It’s only once you do the things you need God to do for you that everything clicks. Please look inside and work though your inner drama. We all have issues with our parents. Start there. Forgive them genuinely from within. Then breaking down before Jesus Christ and asking for forgiveness makes more sense. As you do what he taught, truth reveals itself. Please, at least read three books of the Bible in your lifetime. Genesis Mathew and one book you chose yourself. Please trust me. See what happens when you open your heart.
Jesus Christ is the way truth and life,
I would love to see an analyzing evil on Hilly Hollbrooke from The Help
Very nice! You go over parts of the film that went completely over my head. Look into the Kim family from Parasite, an academy award willing Korean film. You could tell that the director wants us to be sympathetic of them by the end of the film because they are poor but their sociopathic and manipulative shenanigans leads to such a grotesque shit-show that they have to be labeled as C or D tiered evil.
Try analysing Red John from The Mentalist
Is that Dr Breen?
The ironic visual of Chris picking cotton to aid his escape was not lost on me. Pretty poignant imagery.
That was incredibly well thought...
His restraints are still on his wrists as he escapes as well, not unlike slave shackles.
Wow. I hadn't picked up on that
Yeah, blk/biracial celebrities like jordan peele love to use slavery images from American history to pull on audience's heartstrings.
it was about as on the nose as it gets really
I think Rose was so well-cast. She's attractive and appears to be the ideal girlfriend, yet there is this underlying sinister quality about her. No easy task for an actor or casting director, I imagine.
Well I called her being evil just by looking at the trailer

Jesus Christ is the way truth and life,
When I first saw the trailer the first thought about her character was white female liberal
@@Nic2shy, that is the strangest way to word that description and yet also the most fitting.
Especially the phone call she had with Rel when she was talking without emotion her actor is so good she went insane with this character
Seeing Chris getting a happy ending and this bunch of crazyheads getting what they deserve made me happy, great choice and nice vid as always !
Good thing they didn't go with the alternate ending.
Would actually be cool if we got a sequel.
In fact the movie would have been better with the original ending if he was killed..i don't buy happy ending when it comes to racism...
I was expecting the worst and the entire audience cheered when it was Rod.
@@afrosamourai400 I wouldn't call it a "happy ending", he survives, but he has ridiculous amounts of trauma and is forever changed. I don't think the perpetrators of racism have to "win" for it to be considered a good film. I think the movie would have been a downer, and a worse film if they had used the original ending
one thing that was pure evil you forgot is Rose eating cereal like she did
Sociopath shit right there
Seriously. Even just the way she was drinking the milk was REALLY off-putting.
Only pure wickedness would make you do that
she was separating the coloreds from the whites
@@hobibruja Yes but Jordan Peele claims that he actually wasn’t even thinking of that we had the character do that
Of Peele's films, Get Out still remains one of my favorites. It touches on an element of discomfort that makes it very relatable.
I think it may be his best. Crazy good note to start his directing career on.
I like Get Out the least, but I can see why folks like it. I'm black, so I watched the film like, "Well, yeah" and didn't need to see it again, but the style, symbolism, writing, and direction are great!
“Us” is my favorite Peele film but I mean, Get Out and Nope are top tier cinema. Jordan Peele is just a filmmaking genius
I don't see it as relatable. This is a blk/ biracial celebrity version of how they perceive a blk person around a group of whyte people. Blk/biracial celebrities see blk people as helpless victims so they wanna elevate whyte people to the big bad boogeyman and degrade blk people to the terrified blonde victim in horror movies. In real life, blk people feel much safer around a group of whyte people than around a group of other blk people. Other blk people are more likely to harm other blk people than whyte people are to harm blk people.
For me this is how I would have ranked Jordan Peele films:
1) Get Out (8/10)
2) Nope (8/10)
3) Us (6/10)
I love that it was his TSA friend to save him. From the real terrorists. The whole “you’ll be able to see and feel everything, but you won’t be able to do anything about it.” was really eye opening.
The moment when Andre lashes out at Chris yelling "GET OUT! GET THE F*(K OUT!" Is scarier when you consider he was probably trying to save Chris.
It's scarier knowing he's saying it to the old white person in his body
This is what made this film incredible..how layered it was when you know the plot twist..
@@jayvon96 was he though? That's a very interesting take but he did lunge towards and grab Chris. I'd say he was talking to (and therefore warning) Chris. Although he may have also on some level be yelling at his mind infiltrator too.
I like the idea that he's talking to Chris as well as his mind invader
@@jayvon96 That’s a stretch. Why would he waste energy telling a psycho white person to get out when you can imagine they’re enjoying themselves. He was genuinely telling Chris to GTFO and save himself, b4 they abduct him too
Who else loves when he waits in the beginning and speaks when the character speaks
one of my favorite things of this channel. first time i saw it happen i laughed
I never noticed that shit until just now lmao
🎉🎇
@@Toosii2times same here lmfao shits too funny
I just loved that silence pause when he’s about to start talking
Hudson, the one who didn't care about the race part of the Coagula method represents a different kind of racism, colorblind racism. He represents a. Indifferent person who knows that people around him are horrible racist and while not sharing in their beliefs, still looks to benefit from the situation.
All the racists in this movie are white obama voting liberals
And I love that they literally made him blind to signify that. The things he says show that he's colorblind, but the things he does and the way he's portrayed do as well. He wears different colors to the other family members, he distances from them at the party, he never says he's using Chris because hes black but because of his photography skill and his eyes (even if he was chosen because of his skin color). It's just amazing how layered it all is.
Jeez. There's no way out with you people. Everything is racist, even when it isn't
The point where I truly felt the punch of this film was at the end, when a car pulls over and it seems our hero has made it, then the siren lights go on and I felt my stomach turn and heart drop. Then the realization that police are not a soothing nor welcomed presence in times of need, unless you fit a certain criteria
Originally, the main character was going to get arrested and it was going to be commentary on racial profiling, but Jordan Peele changed it to the TSA officer rescuing him.
@@canaisyoung3601, how unfortunate.
@@glasscardproductions4736Its because test audiences didn’t like that ending. They thought it was too brutal to have him be arrested after all he went through.
@@anonomit8229 unfortunately it not that easy in real life
For some reason the scariest part of this film for me was the silent auction
Rose is probably one of the scariest villains ever
She spazzes out at the end. Cool the whole movie then turns unhinged asf
Sociopath 💯
Get Out is still the best and most unsettling and creepiest of Jordan Peele’s 3 films. While I enjoyed Us and Nope, this one feels like something that could be possible in the near future and just imagining what it would be like if u got put into the sunken place forever while somebody else is living in your body is terrifying. Probably would feel something like permanent sleep paralysis or something like that. Truly horrific stuff
Not to mention an entire portion of your brain missing, including memories and such idk im not a doctor
Recently rewatched Death Note and I’d love to see an Analyzing Evil on Light Yagami. There’s an interesting philosophical argument to be had about the benefits/morals of Light removing evil from the world at any cost. Yet despite his intentions he is arguably more evil than anyone he condemned to death. And his narcissism led him to believe he was 100% in the right.
Great video btw! Get Out is an awesome movie
Light was just a terrible narcissistic kid who killed innocents...f.uck him lol
The thing is early on its obvious Light isnt doing this for justice. He may believe thats the case but his intention is to become 'God'
I hope you're referring to the series, and didn't bring it up because the actor of L is in this movie and you rewatched the terrible remake movie. GOD. PLEASE.
@@hamdog5441
I am.....and Light is says early on he will be te god of the new world.
He may think this is about justice but like I said its his own ego
@@thedarknight307 well yea tbh light did it all out of boredom he’s extremely smart as we know and he was bored he did feel bad at 1st when he killed they guy who was harrasing the women but tht quickly changed
Love this , That family felt creepy. Katherine Keener is one of the underappreciated actresses so glad to see her wish you do Gertrude Baniszewski from An American Crime or Sean Nokes ( played by Kevin Bacon ) from Sleepers.
YAS! Someone else who appreciates the brilliance of Sleepers. Nokes, or even the whole Wilkinson School for Boys as an institution. Would love to see analysis of this!
Gertrude might be difficult, considering she's a real criminal
mad at how short this is for how deep these characters are, great amazing video tho
Well… are they that deep? It’s pretty cut-and-dry what their motives are one the reveal happens
Bro there is NOTHING deep about a Jordan Peele film. It's the textbook definition of sledgehammer subtlety.
Notification squad rise up
that’s me!
That's me two!
Let’s go!!

Hello
Suggestion: the Hårga from Midsommar. I think there’s ample content for analysis and discussion there!
Thanks again for your fantastic videos and the effort you put into making them.
I could do that!
yes!!!
Fun fact, the film implies they’re actually a new age cult from at most the 1920’s as stuff like the rune stones at their compound feature anachronistic designs. They’re literally cosplaying the “traditional” lifestyle
Get out is definitely my favorite jorden peele's film. The scene where the victim yells Chris to get out after the flash camera was one of the most suspenseful yet memorable scene to me.
I would love to hear your thoughts on these characters...
Percy Wetmore and Wild Bill from "The Green Mile"
Randall Flagg from "The Stand"
Greg Stillson from "The Dead Zone"
Mrs. Camody from "The Mist"
Henry Bowers from "It"
Rhoda Penmark from "The Bad Seed"
Harry Powell from "Night of the Hunter"
Nino Brown from "New Jack City"
Nina Myers from "24"
Joan Crawford from "Mommie Dearest"
Gollum from "The Lord of the Rings"
King Edward I aka "Longshanks" from "Braveheart"
The Governor, Alpha, and Negan from "The Walking Dead"
Kilgrave from "Jessica Jones"
Joe Goldberg from "You"
Francie Brady from "The Butcher Boy"
Dwight Hansen from "This Boy's Life"
Betty Wendell from "THEM"
Delores Umbridge from "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
John Ryder from "The Hitcher"
Grandmother and Mother from "Flowers in the Attic"
Carl Stargher from "The Cell"
Barbara and Carol Denning from "OITNB"
Homelander from "The Boys"
Nino Brown was the eish, Wesley Snipes played the role nice because it's based on a true story, 4 brothers as drug dealers from Detroit called "FBI" cartel were potrayed well in New Jack City.
Damn, they figured out the science and technology to literally transfer a person’s consciousness into a different body but they’re till 1840s Alabama racist
Would love to see Light Yagami from Death Note be analysed as he'd make a great adition
Hey, they just did a video on that.
Jealously, narcissism and racism are all key sources of evil throughout history. Excellent analysis as always.
Villain Analysis Suggestions:
1.Frank Underwood/Francis Urquhart(House of
Cards)
2. Light Yagami (Death Note Anime/Manga)
3. Petyr Baelish (A Song of Ice and Fire)
4. Frank Gallagher (Shameless US)
5. Marty and Wendy Byrde (Ozark)
6. Dudley Smith (L.A Confidential)
7. Lorne Malvo (Fargo)
8. Idi Amin (Last King of Scotland)
9. Kratos (God of War series)
10. Eric Cartman (South Park)
Seing Eric cartman and Light Yagami in the same list is hilarious.
Now, about Kratos, you can almost analyze him like Joaquin phoenix joker. He wasn't mentally il but all the events to the end of the greek mythos were outside his will
Frank Underwood, Light Yagami and Marty & Wendy are great choices!
Erik Cartman video would have to be four hours long.
@@martincurran4985 I'm here for it
Black people are utterly obsessed with making themselves the victim in fictitious acts while committing a majority of violent crime in the country while being a small minority of the population. Like Smollett. Black people would PREFER to be the victims of racism rather than have to stand on their own merits and face responsibility so they make it up in their heads to justify their racism against whites.
Jealously, narcissism and racism indeed. Stop murdering people. There's a real social issue that none of you cowards will address.
Telly from Kids is an interesting one. Hes not what you would consider evil but he is completely reprehensible
Agreed. I don't know whether there's enough substance or complexity to his actions and his motivations to really warrant a video though. I mean, when you come down to it, he's just a scumbag teenager who deflowers pre-teen girls and is unknowingly spreading HIV. Of course all of what I have just described is abhorrent and awful behavior, but as a character, Telly isn't very complex. I think you'd only need to view his surroundings to understand why he behaves this way, and I think that's what Harmony Korine was trying to convey when he wrote the movie.
yes do him
That would be a great subject to cover.
Devirginizing AIDS spreader - classic
Colonel Frank Fitts from American Beauty would be a great villain to analyse! There’s a deep backstory with him and one that would be interesting to hear you pick a part in an Analysing Evil video!
Can you do Koba from the Planet of the Apes reboot series
I've been waiting on this one☝🏼
If you ever get a chance watch the movie with audio commentary. Jordan Peele talks more about the order's history; It goes all the way back to the Templars.

@@jamesmayle3787 what are you talking about, this has nothing to do with what he said, there’s a limit to everything
Pearl from "Pearl" and "X" would make a great addition.
Something that I think is important to highlight is that the order’s desire to inhabit Black bodies is fundamentally built on faulty beliefs that Black peoples are more able-bodied.
It also speaks to the idea that Black bodies belonging to white people is a fundamental facet of Black oppression that goes beyond slavery. For instance, a white person being uncomfortable with what a Black person is doing by simply existing.
I hope you consider Bev Keane from Midnight Mass one day, Vile Eye! She's worthy of being analyzed!

Would love an Analyzing Evil on Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk or Thomas Shelby.
Hell, you could just about do a D'Onofrio one on Robert Goren from Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He's always just a week of missed medications from being one of the people he chases.
Hundson's ancestor (who was also blind) owned a radio station in the Depression era South that gave air time to rare integrated popular musicians.

you rightly acknowledge that Chris' "eye for photography isn't a racial advantage that any race can claim to have" but later talk about "admiration of the genetic advantages gifted to Black people" as a driver of the Order of Coagula without noting the absurdity of inherent genetic advantage.
I think a shorter video on The Beast from Over the Garden Wall would be GREAT for the Halloween and autumn season, he's simple but such an effective evil presence with a lot of interesting ways that he's a symbol or metaphor for Satan
It wouldn've been hilarious if you did Cruella on this episode

As a white man who grew up around the black community, I absolutely loath people like the Armitage Family. I see myself as the Eminem of my generation; I walk and talk like I'm black but I know that I'm born (and forever will be) white. It's not that I'm concerned about what's hip and in, but it's because of my background.
Can you do Rafael Montero from The Mask of Zorro (1998)? This guy literally stole the child of his enemy and raised her as his own. He stole gold from Santa Anna and decided to killed all the slaves/workers that helped mined the gold.
On top of that he was sacrificing people so he could capture Zorro among other things.
Totally unexpected choice, but mega-based. Thanks for this, man.
Never heard of the show, people or anything at all about this, I just saw the name "Coagula," and immediately thought "Caligula."
One of the most original horror films to come along in years, and an excellent analysis.
Suggestions: Dalton Russell from Inside Man (2006)
Sgt. Hartman from Full Metal Jacket (1987)
O-Dog from Menace II Society (1993)
This film is not subtle in it’s allegory of racial and cultural appropriation, it’s very on the nose. Makes me miss the early work of Schyamalan.

How about “Nino Brown” from New Jack City?
this was a good video. my favorite part is that you refrained from making a line about how reverse racism is just as bad as anti-Black racism, unlike your american history x video. good job!

Rose armitage is one of the greatest villain created in the 2010s...
Rose’s reveal as part of the coagula may be the most powerful plot twist, not because it wasn’t expected but because it was kinda hard to swallow that this genuinely cute couple was all a plot to turn the guy into a flesh puppet

Can you Analyze one day Vecna from Stranger Things? He is as equally heinous as Freddy Krueger, Pennywise and Pinhead combined

The dad looks just like Wallace Breen from Half Life 2. I'm sorry. I just can't get past that. It's a shame he'll probably be dead before anything in that universe gets a chance to be adapted.
I’ve seen good arguments that the movie is about what is usually seen as “casual” racism, but really, one supposedly progressive group of people thinking they know what is best for another is often what leads to assimilation, which the “Coagula” method is an apt metaphor for. If a person bears no hatred for another person, then indifference can still be enough to tip the scale and lead to their promotion of further hate crimes. If the personal desire to continue overtakes one’s morality, then that ego will never stop until it has devoured all else.
If you want to, please may you do an episode on Constance/The House from Monster House? I know we get precious little of her in the movie, but I think even just a short analysis of her character would be so interesting, and I really want to hear what you have to say about her.

Jesus Christ is the way truth and life,
This movie unsettled me so deeply as a black Canadian man, when I went to watch it in theathers back to 2018. Every black viewer was speaking loud, laughing, backing off their seats and reacting with profound dread and frustration to the subtleties and trappings that most of the wh*te folks in the same room didn't get by the manner they were looking at us in utter confusion.
can you explain?
What's the point of censoring white?
@@CheesecakeXIII Big Brother Susan breaths on my black neck. Whence the self-censoring.
@@GT-fl9gf Well, we just get the movie.
The VERY passive agressive casual racism of wh*te liberals-- or in a Canadian context, of a sizeable number of wh*te Canadians all short. The micro-agressions, the atmosphere of unease hovering around, the constant need to highlight our race with back handed remarks and snide compliments on every single casual conversation, the objectification and commodification of black bodies, the women, the men, the performative militantism, the positive discrimination, the side-stares and spans of attention redirected at the least stereotypized and smartest black person in the room or who suddenly changes of topic when you walk in and out, the rude bigoted remarks under a backdrop of social commentary, that _one_ white girlfriend or wife, that lingering air of racial paranoia that will be hovering around sooner or later, the superiority-inferiority complex and insecurities, et cetera et cetera.
What this has been describing is nothing new in African American and Afro-descendant fiction (and even nonfanction) . To give you a perfect idea of what it is, think about some of the topics highlighted ajd exaggerated for science-fictive reasons by the film "Matrix"... which is ironic, given that the author behinf the original script plagiarized later on by the Warchoski Brothers (and allegedly years earlier on by James Cameron too) was an African American female novelist. Sophia Stewart's her name.
@@CheesecakeXIII Hell, even the underimplied narrative concept about some cryptic ambiguously influent white suprematist/Masonic secret society approaching a select number of gifted black men and black women that might be hinting about a sinister racial conspiracy or political, fringe-scientific and/or occult agenda under a backdrop of black people's *historically charged (and justified)* distrust and paranoia toward nonblack (and "good N%%ro" type too) domineered institutions of governing power, welfare and authority locally and abroad
are not too far-fetched at all.
Just read the history of Masonism or Western esoteric traditions and their murky interactions with individuals of African descent all across late medieval to modern times and their proxy, indirect or direct implication, ingerence or influence - nay through the otherwise handle of a single individual, group, body or institution whose member/s all happened to be Masons or whatever - in every single historic event, initiative, conflict, political assassination, human-rights crime, war crime and other countless, unspeakable and despicable acts of maleficence meant to systematically undermine and corrupt economically, politically and spiritually African civilizations and Diaspora as well as any uprising community, group, body or single individual of African descent over the past five or some centuries, down to the so-called "Age of Discoveries" and the Transatlantic slave trade to the Berlin Conference of 1884-85 and so-called "Scramble For Africa" to the post-War era of African Independances leading to the assassinations of multiple prominent African nationalist figures and leaders, to the Congo War and enforcement of key puppet dictators such as the likening of Mobutu or Gaddafi in the 1960-70s, of the downfall of the Kingdom of Ethiopia and "accidental" death of Haile Selassie I (from which, thanks to public access at declassified US intelligence folders, has been confirmed that is was _no_ accident. And done by BOTH the West Block and USSR-- which was not unprecedented in the history of the Cold War in Africa. Patrice Lumumba's assassination was _that_ historic premiere) , of the illicitly and paramilitarily enforced foundation of France-Belgium's neocolonialism or "Françafrique" , to the Blood Diamond Wars of Western Africa, the Apartheid era South Africa in league with Israel and the West with their attempts to manufacure an atomic arsenal and biological weapons aimed against _all Africans_ in the 1980s, the spreading of HIV and of the Ebola virus, to the Rwandan Genocide, the Zairian Genocide, to African World War II and so on and forth to the current geopolitical situation nowadays-- all following a long term ever-revised and perfected racial cleasing and annihilation masterplan.
Personally, I've been myself approached multiple times ever singe ages 13 to 17 by some very sinister individuals, people, extremist religious groups and secret societies of different leanings myself for being too smart and "brilliant" for their own good. Most of them had one way or another connections to so-callingly "ex-" whatever-Western-or-Arab-country Deep State-trained factions gone rogue, governments, political enemies from my late grandparents and grandrelatives, and ultimately ever and always _Masons_ . One way or another, theit name drops someplace and at some point, they even approahed me directly a couple times already: telling me from which exact lodge or society they hailed from, that they kept an eye on me since some or some years let alone since young age, that I *shall* join their ranks and get trained or else.
Literally: either I join them or they will screw me in ways inimaginable, nay worse. I refused. They approached numerous other members of my family from both sides of my parentage since at least four generations to the mother's side and two to five from the father's side, least from what it is accounted orally. My mother, my brothers, my cousins, the aunties and the uncles, my late father, my father's great-grandfather, my late maternal grandparents with their own parents and grandparents before. You do realize what does it meant, five generations ago for an African?? It meant they started to look after us since even a little _before_ they invaded and colonized all African kingdoms after 1885. I have a pile the size of a Harry Potter novel worth of psychological horror stories and creepy stories and evidence from _plenty_ of black acquaintances from Canada, the USA, Haiti, Brasil, from all over Europe and Africa, people I encountered online and during my outgoing life and how their lives and those of their families turned into a nightmare because they either equally refused the same proposal by the same obscure people, or actually joined it and so regretfully wanted to get out once the honeymoon phase was over and they've gone too deep into the rabbit hole... by comparison, Jordan Peele's horror tales looks seemingly tame.
Get out was an amazing movie.
They remind me a lot of vampires.
This family is perfect and overdue on this channel.
@@justindenney-hall5875 😂🤣 yes they definitely need to be on this channel !
would love to see you cover Dumbledore from the Harry Potter books ( I feel like the duality of his character is not shown enough in the movies)
Yes. Thank you. Dumbledore is just as evil as Voldemort only more complex so that it goes unnoticed by everyone except maybe Rita Skeeter but even she doesn't know the half of it.
Right ! The fact Garry named his kid after the guy that arranged his death is 😢 I mean really why is he still seen as a good guy
Can you cover truelove from alpha dog
That's actually a great suggestion! Kind of an obscure one too.
Have you considered doing Logan Roy from Succession? Could probably do most of the family lol
I have three suggestions:
Koba - Planet of the Apes series
Chucky - Child's Play series
Jang Kyung-chul - I Saw the Devil
Koba would be dope.
Good episode. I have a suggestion, could you analyze May Kennedy from the cult film May from 2002?
Great film.
This movie had me rethinking about the social and power dynamics in interracial relationships 😂
Get Out is scarier now because of the racist covid lockdown measures.
Eventually black people are going to finish self segregating and "othering" themselves and then ask why they're treated differently.
@@sb6675 wtf are you on, get out of here with your incorrect politics
@@sb6675 yeah black people are the problem not the 400 years of slavery and 150 years of segregation...
Great video! I would love to see an analysis of evil on Tyrell Wellick from Mr. Robot
Video Idea: The Children from Lord of The Flies. I think it would be an interesting video and discussion.
Definitively
