- Get Out is one of the best horror films of the modern era, and it's from a first-time director who made his name as a sketch comedian!! But, you know how the motto goes... no movie is without sin... so... here we go...
Next Week: animated sins and animated sins.
Remember, no movie is without sin! Which movie's sins should we expose next?!

The scene where she's on the phone sounding distressed and face dead as fuck was wayyyy too unsettling
She was expressing extreme emotion verbally with no facial expression to show this. This seems like something out of the uncanny valley to most people, because she seems not quite human. In all honestly this probably should have been sinnned; as expressing emotion verbally without making the expression on at least your mouth is difficult. I'd let it slide though, as I doubt the creator struggles with seeming genuine and emotional on the telephone.
Corvax but rod made the whole scene comedic
that scene disturbed me the most, which is saying something because there was a LOT of graphic shit throughout the movie.
it was great commentary on how the aggressors in hate crimes will try and twist the narrative- rod is a REALLY sophisticated parody of the cliche '' i told you not to be fuckin with them white folx '' guy and he is written SO damn well
Corvax Me too.
Remove a sin for the intricacy of Georgina. She is always adjusting her hair in the mirror to hide the scars from the procedure.
That's not how this works! He's supposed to sin the problems, not reward the movie for every little thing it got right. I know we don't get that watching this video, but that's how it's worked historically...
Not really, he has been removing sins from movies for years. This isn't even the movie with the most sins removed.
If it's not the most he's removed, it's close. And he's sinned movies with much better performances and moments that he didn't remove sins for. It would be ridiculous to remove sin for the Georgina thing- it was a pretty standard horror movie clue/foreshadowing thing.
if you watch the la la land video he removed a ton of sins from that to. Stop looking for reasons to hate
He removed the most from the "Trolls" film. Shame about that one mistake they made at the end though :(
*The fact that the father hated the deers so much just to be killed by one at last was so satisfying ngl*
my theory about why he hated the deer is that in the early stages of a highly risky medical experiment such as this, they would obviously go through trial and error, and since they most likely would consider white peoole to be too good to test on, they would test on animals, animals that are local to them, which would be deer as the dad describes. this would most likely also have been a person that rose had to date to bring back to the house. so, i think that once the black person, being inside the deer, saw that chris was with rose, he ran out ahead of their car and darted in front of it so as to prevent their trip, thinking if he caused enough damage the car would be unworkable or maybe chris would be too shaken up and want to turn back, or he’d give the officer his id yk something. he basically sacrificed himself for chris. which would also explain why the deer looked at chris like that, also as if it was trying to say something. which is why when rose tells her dad that they hit and killed a deer, he’s elated because less evidence of their immoral experiments remains, also showing how little he values black lives, using the deer as a sort of double entendre for that.
@@jaredtoussaint4294 Okay yes... it's a very intersting theory, but deer anatomy (from my experience of watching my family skin/prepare deer) is nothing close to what human anatomy is. Also, deer are very dumb. Like - the dumbest. I don't thing whoever was placed into a deer body would even be able to form a complete thought. Not trying to be a debbie downer. Still - I like the theory a lot.
Gonna clear this up - the deer has WAY more meaning than this. Lookup the multiple disgusting uses for the term "buck". There's also more layers to it.
@@sarahcoletti6946 I was looking for this comment
@@TheCraphater The way this movie is an onion with such intricately woven layers absolutely blows my mind! Like when Rose took a stance against that police officer - at first, without much context, it seemed altruistic. But in reality, she just didn't want a paper trail! I hope more people with my skin color can do a bit more research and try a little harder to become allies. 💖
They picked African Americans because the grandfather lost in the olympics to a African American so from then on he thought black was superior in genetics
That would mean that mean that the bad guys in this movie were black supremacists.
What about all the sports that don’t include running where white people dominate?
@@vaeldrnero6251 black people dominate in more then just running. The old blind guy mentioned being cool too
@@vaeldrnero6251 the white people literally think that black people are just naturally stronger
Reverse reverse racism?
Camera flashes makes the black guys snap out of hypnosis, blind guy wants the protagonist's eyes, blind guy is a photographer.... you see the problem whit his plan?
Antonio Larrubia then he could just turn the flash off lol
Antonio Larrubia he can't see the flash tho
chris can see and he would be in chris's body so he could see again thats the entire reason he wants chris to see. so yes he would be able to see the flash
Tyler Johnson the flash presumably has to be completely toward you. If you're a photographer, the flash is happening in front of you toward whomever you are taking a photo of. Behind the camera you only see a bit of the flash. There's no way to know if that's enough to bring the victim from the sunken place. But presumably it isn't since it is such a weak amount of flash.
Antonio Larrubia I didn't even think of that!!😲
The reason they were inside black cars as white people was a metaphor for the surgery

That's fuckin crazy😱😱😱😱
The scene where Rose object to the cop asking for Chris' ID isn't just a ruse to gain trust - it's to try prevent there bring any official record of Chris ever having been there.
Big brain
Or maybe the officer was aware of the fact that a few afro americans have been reported missing in the area
That scene doesn't make any sense. Why would you call a cop if you hit a deer somewhere in the middle of what looks like a least traveled road? It's a deer, not a person. They could have just bounced off to avoid leaving trace of identification.
damn
Yeah I thought that was word
3:35 Jordan Peele confirmed that the Grandfather was obsessed with Jesse Owens and beating his time in the '36 olympics that's why he spent all his time running.
True, but it still makes little sense to run in the middle of the night, while wearing gardening clothes.
Ohhhh
@@ollegrahn1937 he's working all day everyday for the family, when exactly did you expect him to go for a run if not at night?
It didn't make sense that as Dean said, grandpa never got over losing to Owens in the qualifying rounds. In the prelims and semis, more than one person per heat advances.

It’s an interesting idea but unintentional lol
Yeah it wasn’t intentional but peele sorta went with the theory when he read it
Holy shit i thought about that before watching the later scenes.
Oml true
The transformation of Rose was brilliant. Throughout the movie, she acts as if she is oblivious to what is going on and acts as a very caring girlfriend. But the moment the truth comes out, she is completely transformed; her expression less face when she talks to Chris' friend though her voice conveys the right emotions was amazing.

Was looking for this comment. A couple of sins should have been removed. This detail went above CinemaSin's head
Jim wanting Chris' "eye" is also a comment on how Jim, due to his blindness, is literally "colourblind" and possibly therefore the least racist person among the Armitages' customers. And yet, despite not being able to "see colour", he's still doing the most damage to Chris.
subtle.
Wow
He’s not actively racist but profiting from a business model that directly harms black people.
But he still only regards chris for his physical attributes it's not his eyes that help him be a great photographer it's his brain and that's what's being removed
shows how 'colorblindness' can be one of the worst forms of racism
I assumed Andre yelled "get out" instead of "help, I've been kidnapped", because he knew it was too late to save himself.
Abi Luftig Or maybe it had something to do with getting out of the sunken place? The sunken place could be metaphorical for a whole host of things in itself.
Like he was trying to tell himself to get out, like how Trinity told herself to get up at the beginning of The Matrix? I buy that. good poi nt.
Abi Luftig Was he talking to himself, the fellow in his body's driver's seat, or our dashing protagonist?
And saying "Get out" is faster than explaining the entire situation in front of the people
The other thing is, had Andre explained to Chris he had been kidnapped, they would have to capture Chris there and then since they would know that Chris now knows something is wrong
The only horror movie where I was relieved there was no cop that showed up in the end.
Varinder Bhandal can u stop making other accounts to like ur comment
Apparently there's an alternate ending where the cops do show up instead of Rod. But they changed it before it hit theaters
Jessica K I just checked the alternative ending and I'm glad they kept the original one. It was more satisfying and using the other one would have just a downer.

It’s good but I feel like it’s more 85%-89% rotten tomatoes. It’s meh
This movie has 98%, which is 4 more % then the dark Knight and 11% more the dark Knight rises.
You want to tell me, this movie is better then both of them? Or maybe it got it's high %, because this movie is about racist White people, and poor oppressed black people, which caters to the sjw and all those other lunis agenda.

1:40 you should remove an additional sin when you realize she's not just trying to earn his trust, but rather avoiding a paper trail.
Had the cop run both their licenses, there would be a record that Chris and Rose were together before his eventual disappearance.
Good4Josh Wow so true good thinking.
they should hire you up there at cinema sins
the problem with that is she was the one that called the cops in the first place and if you did not want a paper trail why would you even call the authorities in the first place?
Good4Josh THANK YOU!! got his ass lol
This is what I thought initially
At the beginning when Andre was kidnapped, they knew he would be there because Rose was purposely giving him bad directions.

This symbolism and double triple meaning in this movie is incredible. The deer, the mom story at the end and how she’d lying there in the closing shot dying and he drives off (like his mom was lying there but he couldn’t save her and he doesn’t save her) as a way of overcoming his grief also using the deer antler in one of the murders haha just amazing
Fun fact: the reason that the white family want chris to stop smoking is to make sure that Chris' body stays healthy for the new host.
@star hopee no she wanted his body to stay healthy . That's why when he is captured she tells her son not to damage him even more.
emmmm....yeah, though whoever "bought" Chris' body is going to take immediate control of it-as we see with Stephen Root's character. A few hours of Chris not smoking isn't going to make any difference.

Photographer here; I've often and regularly have forced the flash on a camera phone. In bright sunshine the high contrast light is unflattering; you turn on the flash to fill in shadows and reduce the contrast. So the use of the flash by a guy who is a professional photographer... completely logical.
peter taylor good point
How the fvck do I find the flash on my phone? Why cant I use the light at the same time ?!
Fvck you "Sam Sung"
If you see his face in that moment you can notice that subtlely shrinks his face, the flash was an accident, he was trying to take the picture for his friend
peter taylor then there are those who always leave their flash on too...
Why would he turn the flash on on purpose when he needed to be subtle? He clearly didn't realize he had the flash turned on.
I loved this movie so much because you could tell something was wrong but you can't tell WHAT is wrong until the reveal and it's so unique and the second time watching it you can see so many subtle hints to the overall reveal and it's just so AWESOME.
You can easily tell pretty much everything that was going to happen from the opening scene, lol. Right down to Rose being involved.
Hypnotist mother, Rose wearing striped (hypnosis) type clothing, and knowing there has to be an antagonist/her parents aren't likely to target her means it logically would have to be her.

Wow, I didn't even catch the hidden detail that Rod did the opposite of Chris by tracking him down right away when he was worried. Truly an incredible movie 👏
Sin number 4 is wrong.... they weren't driving hoping for a victim, it was a set up. The girl he was on the phone to was probably Rose herself. She purposely gave him the wrong address. You can hear it in the convo saying "Why would they put Edgewood way, so far from Edgewood Lane"
They directed him to the wrong place, maybe his Uber dropped him there, but was forced to walk the rest of the way to the "real" address.
Same thing when Rose wouldn't give the police guy Chris' ID... its not to protect him, its so there isn't a trail to where he was last seen.... clever

another great detail I noticed, Rose letting Chris know Rose's parents don't know he's black, the deer hitting the car, the weird care-takers, are all very anxiety producing. Some of those events could haver been staged to creep Chris out to have a smoke to ease his mind, and then boom. Sunken place time.
The scene of all the family members arriving wasn't just the "everyone drives black SUV's cliche" it was symbolically showing how they drive in "black bodies". Jordan Peele discussed this in an interview
Wow Very smart
It occurs to me that all those black sedans following one another is really like a funeral. A funeral...for Chris? I mean, they have his big picture at the auction, kinda like a memorial. And it is, essentially, Chris's last day as Chris...
Still fits the troupe though
Sounds like bullshit and just something he made up afterwards
MrDavo511 why? Obviously he did a lot thinking about symbolism; and it would be odd to go out of the way to get all black cars for no reason
The reason that she didn't want to let hum give his id is because his info would be with the cops and they would know his whereabouts just before he went missing. Peele has an excellent attention to detail.
Daaamn I would never of caught that. Amazing
Omg I said that exact thing in a different part of the comment section! I heard Peele confirm it in a video where he read fan theories on Reddit, Jordan Peele is an artist!
Good catch, I just watched it and was going to comment this.
It really wasn't that hard to tell that rose didn't want to give the cop his info because of the trail. I mean you just have to watch the movie for about 10 min after that and its pretty obvious what Mr. Peele is doing. It's not that creative or clever.
Anne Manning it is clever because it could have been percieved that she didnt want to give the cop his id bc she wanted to gain his trust by defending him from discriminatory actions. It is clever bc it has a double meaning
A lot of people say that Rose standing up for Chris when the cop ask for his I.D. is so that there would be no evidence of him being with her. That actually plays into the ending as well. With what we know about Rose we can assume she has gotten rid of any connection to Chris in the outside world aside from what she has at her house. With the house burning down all that evidence is gone and with the i.d. refusal there is no evidence of him being there and no connection to them whatsoever. That's why I like the original ending rather than the alternate one where he goes to jail.
"Disabled character goes to extreme (and evil) lengths to not be disabled" cliche.

It's funny cuz i said the same thing at him after the scene where he has a chat with Georgina in the bedreoom about unplugging his phone and she briefly starts weeping, but then regains control. I was like "Yep, that is some twilight zone shit right there bro, GET THE FUCK OUT!" :)
Yup!
Girl. This is a channel ran by white people. I'm not surprised they don't get it.
The movie's ending where it shows Rose dying on the street is brilliant. Chris just decided to leave her to slowly die on the street, just like how his mother died.

In defense of replacing liquor with water and no one noticing, I did it and my parents never had the first clue. You have to make sure you leave a certain amount so it keeps the smell. Only way to really tell is if you're drinking it straight. Then it will taste different. If they're only making mixed drinks they'll never know and it also depends on how often they drink. Mine didn't find out until I admitted it at a Christmas party a few years later.
Ok the comment section was pretty good with ideas but damn how many times they mentioned rose not trying to get caught by the cops is insane
I honestly can’t believe you didn’t sin them on the “protagonist and antagonist both realize there is a gun and reach for it at the same time” cliché
same with the tea cup
@@elza6195 was just about to write that.
Dean Rigby and “police laughing at the person telling them information that makes the cop laugh” cliche
@@goatx3215 that's actually an established tv trope where the story the character is telling to someone with the power to solve it is, in fact, true (in rod's case somewhat) but the subject matter is so far fetched that the "power" immediately doxes it and is forced to put matters into their own hands.

- Pretty sure in the opening scene he's looking for the white girlfriend's house, which is Jeremy knew he'd be there (remember all of the people that are captured have relationships with Rose (whether romantic or not)
- Rose *might* have defended Chris in front of the cop for trust, but I was thinking it was cause she didn't want him in the police records
- That trapped in the closet thing was GENIUS
It makes me happy that you've reviewed this movie.
THECOLIN754 in the end his favorite sentence is trapped in the closet cause u kno, the closet is a piece of the story happens at 14:37
No, at some point they say Jeremy and Rose have very different methods, implying that they don't work together.
@Squidicule thats a great point... "didnt want him in the police records"
I really agree and see your point bro
No in the movie they said he was a musician, or something, in pretty sure they said he did a show nearby and got lost in the neighborhood. In the movie they mentioned he had a girlfriend
loveislouderrrrr he was talking to his girlfriend in the opening scene whether it was rose or not. He called her and told her he was looking for the house, and they talked a little, and then hung up and walks around looking for the house
Re: "why use black people instead of expanding the race pool" I'm pretty sure it's a commentary on people of color being "less looked for" than white people when they go missing. That's how I interpreted it.
I'm also curious as to CinemaSins' reaction to the alternate ending of this movie. I can't remember which one I saw first, whatever's on the Prime version of the movie.
It actually has more to do with the grandfather losing out to Jessie Owens to competing in the olympics
@@caseym8179 it could be both
@@amandayuan9392 honestly you could probably go through the movie and find even more clues pointing to many other reasons for choosing black people. Every time I watch this movie I catch something new.
I don’t know why everyone thinks this. It’s because all the white people think being black is “cool” and that African-American’s are physically superior, so they want their bodies. You’re wrong.
Yaasss!! Also, when he his friend tried to tell Black police officers (his own people) his friend got kidnapped and they did not take him seriously but laughed, wow, what a double entendre! A real gut punch, but real. When your own don't help you.
8:40 they said the succes rate isnt perfect so they probably died
That scene with Rose and the cop wasn't just to earn Chris' trust. It was to avoid a paper trail that linked them together.
Malcolm Herbert why would she call the cops then? the car was completely driveable
Mo I that's a good point I hadn't considered, I just assumed the cop saw it driving by and stopped, you may be right though
Max Wiedmer lol with 10,000 comments, there's going to be some overlap. Didn't copy anything, calm down
Malcolm Herbert nah, you just a dumbass that wants to gain some self worth by copying one of the top comments.
Max Wiedmer and what, you try to gain it by bringing random people down on the internet? Calm down there buddie
Rose makes sure the cop doesnt take his ID so that theres no paper trail when he goes missing
Katelyn Mckellips the cop probably wanted to know who he was to link him to her theory’s was that he knew people went missing
Lol no dude
I was saying no to VaultofTerror's comment not op & if you've ever been profiled you would understand...
Katelyn Mckellips exactly. Beat me to it.. the actor who played that woman actually intimated that motivation in an interview on late night television. That her character didn't want Chris to give up his ID because she didn't want to create a paper trail linking her to him
abryant actually the Jordan Peele the writer/director of the movie said the real reason was to truly hide the paper trail, although I also first thought it was to point out the racial profiling that occurs
The deer breaking the side view mirror actually makes sense. Imagine hitting a deer at full speed while the deer was running at full speed as well, the whiplash of the deer's head could easily hit that side view mirror. Since they hit the deer with the right corner of the car, you could even see the deer flying sideways into the forest if you play the video at 0.25 playback. You could also see slight abrasion damage to the right front quarter panel of the car if you pause at exactly 1:08. And that type of impact can also damage internal part of the car, making it highly possible for any electrical part of the car to completely glitch out for either a moment or permanently. The A/C in my old civic would sometimes turn on and off whenever I hit certain bumps in the road. Just saying. There's more things in here that makes sense actually, but as a mechanic for several years, I can only explain the car part wholeheartedly with actual facts and evidence lol. Great movie regardless, and the fact that this is made by a natural comedian and his first movie to boot, definitely 10/10.
A little bit late, by Jeremy knew Andre was there at the beggining of the movie bc Rose told Andre to be there, she was the one in the phone call
5:50 in case you were curious, the lady brought the black man with her because that's her husband in him and she's showing him off to the crowd like "Look how well the surgery worked!" kinda deal. The Armitage's were so confident they would get Chris no matter what he thought that they didn't care if the other guy acted weird; it was more important they display their success.
exactly, and them being super rich and cockythat they can get away with anything, is totally believable
Great point!
The best foreshadowing part was the story about the Grandfather almost getting over the fact that he lost to an African at the Olympics. Operative word... almost. Also, this movie went in a direction so different than what I expected.
lekiscool The moment I heard the Olympic story is when I had a hunch too! didn't hear the almost part though, nice catch!
2017 > Step 1: do a racefocused film when the only topic the media has for months is race and terrorism. Step 2: wait till people with an IQ of about 80 call you genius for picking the most obvious topic imaginable at this time. Step 3: Profit
the people who call this film genius are probably all trump voters and completly blind to their surroundings
lekiscool I
Did you guys post in the wrong place? I am completely lost.
Another thing I thought was cool was that maybe the cop wasn't being an asshole asking to see Chris's license. Maybe he knows about the missing black people in the area. It would have been cool if Peele showed the cop in the end actually on the black mans side. The alternate ending was heartbreaking too. Especially as a black man myself. You could be in the right and still go down for it.
I saw this in theaters. The amount of cheering when it was revealed he had the cotton in his ear then killing the dad with the deer was massive
This might be Peele's first movie but he has way lots of experience in writing horror scenes
What if it wasnt
You forgot to either remove a sin or mention the moment you nearly shit yourself because the cop car pulls up with flashing lights as he's standing bloody over a white woman's body.
Psychwriteify is r vh
Fair fucking point. I was about to cry when that happened
honestly that was amazing
IKR
When I saw that cop car I was immediately reminded of the ending to 'You're Next' and just thought "Welp. RIP Chris"
Absolutely. First time I saw this movie, I was like, "Chris just got fucked by systemic racism."
*When you realize they skipped over the good, controversial 'milk apart from coloured cereal' scene while Rose was on the computer*
Tbh that's how I eat my cereal
@@Ducktor me too
@@laddibugg You're both psychos in disguise.
Peele said that didnt have deeper meaning and was just about how twisted she is.. in fact the family is into mixing colors
Some people eat cereal like that
The fact that the other kidnapped black people greet and welcome the white guests like their family and loved ones in such a peculiar way as if their related or family is actually disturbing once we realise what happened to the other boyfriends. This movie is mind blowing once you watch it for the second time. The Oscar Jordan Peele won was so deserving I mean the writing and plot twists in this movie are amazing this will definitely become a horror movie classic
12:07 That death scene was ENDEERING!!!
Who noticed that all the white friends were driving inside black cars to the party, a reference to how the white people would essentially be in a black body

@@tanyaleigh8796 No.
@@tanyaleigh8796 you kind of were trying way to hard there
The black dude that yells "get out" has been in a state of watching his life go by in a sunken place that goes dark whenever the other guy inside him closes his eyes. I think that wasnt a moment of clarity but just a realisation that he has control but will very soon lose it again and return to the sunken place. He is so desperate the only expected reaction would be exactly that, to panic and repeat the noly thing that gets through his head.
What about the man the grandpa possessed( I have not watched this movie btw)?
Ignacio Roca
Ignacio Roca He had gained consciousness in that moment because of the camera flash and was able to control his body for a moment. When he saw another black man he knew what they were going to do to him so he screamed "GET OUT" as a warning. He was trying to protect him but they had to hypnotize him so his consciousness would be trapped in the sunken place again and he would loose control of his body.
At the end of the movie, the "grandpa" shoots Rose as you've seen, then shoots himself before he loses control again in an attempt to save the protagonist's life from another attack by grandpa.
polydipsiac How would he lose control if there’s no one to hypnotize him again?
It still bothers me how they never mentioned if they 'saved' the other guy at the party .. along with everybody else
It’s not possible to save them. It’s so depressing when you realize the people literally had like a lobotomy and so part of their brain isn’t even there anymore. They’ll never really be themselves again.
The cop scene where Rose stands up for him wasn’t just to gain his trust, it was to not have a paper trail of him being there.
You should remove the sin of when she fights the cop about seeing Chris' license, she didn't do it to gain his trust, she did it so there was no record of him ever being there
YES! YES! YES!
Catalina Gaviria wow. Never thought of it that way. Damn
That's a VERY good point; except it's strongly implied that Rose is the one who called the cops.
puuxexil She called them because of the deer she hit, maybe she didn't expect the cop to ask for Chris' id since she was the one driving
Catalina Gaviria I said the same before reading this aha
Regarding the issue of how could they be certain that Chris would sneak out in the middle of the night for a smoke - actually, I think they could be pretty sure. I used to wonder why they bothered to show Rose picking up coffee and muffins before going to Chris' place to pick him up. Now I think it was to establish that they were leaving first thing in the morning. When he tries to smoke in the car, she takes away his cig. So you have a guy who is a regular smoker, is in a freaky situation AND he hasn't smoked since maybe early that morning? It's a good bet that he would sneak out in the middle of the night.
Sue Price that makes a lot of sense
there is also a camera in the teddy bear in his room
Replying to my own comment, just to add that this is another thing that you see differently once you know what Rose is up to. When I first saw the scene where she takes away Chris' cig in the car, I thought, that's pretty heavy handed, but OK, her parents don't approve of smoking and she wants him to make a good impression and not reek of cigs. Later you realize she actually wanted to get his craving really high so he would be guaranteed to sneak out for a smoke that night.
I thought it was just that he would not have nicotine on his system and be in good condition for no inconvenience to the person who'll get to use his body
@@a-dizzle6253 how do you know a camera is in the teddy bear???
I mean this is what I love about all of JP’s movies but in my opinion, just like everything else in the film, screaming “Get out” has several layers of meaning, he is both telling Chris to get out of the house but I think even more so he is telling the white dude to get out of his body.
This is actually one of my favourite horror movies...
Andre is out there because he's dating Rose. So her brother isn't driving around looking for random strangers to kidnap. He knew exactly where to look because she set Andre up
Didn't realize that before! I just assumed he happened to be driving down the street and saw an opportunity. That makes much more sense!
Thanks! I didn't even catch that!

The reason why I think those black guys in the pictures were not at the party is because they died during the operation. The reason I think this is because on Andrews neck, you can see it has the Roman numeral 3 (III). Possibly saying that he is the third successful launch of their extremely dangerous transplant, since maybe both Georgina and Walter (the grandma and grandpa) were number 1 and number 2 of their transplant. But, this is just a theory 😜
Voraxion A film Theorie!
Jonas Schmidt haha I was thinking this when writing it.
That tattoo is real, I'm pretty sure the actor actually has it, it doesn't have anything to do with the movie
Tori E Just looked up his tattoos and yeah I guess it could be just coincidental, or maybe done on purpose? Cause he has other tattoos and that was the only one that they didn't cover up. I just thought this tied in well with the whole premise of why those people were not at the party.
Any good producers would instantly cover a tattoo up with makeup unless they wanted it there,
Given how this great horror film was made by a first-timer and comedian it kinda puts everything in perspective. All the shitty horror films of the last years were actually great comedies.
TheTrueLeafless Jordan Peele said it himself that horror films and comedy films are very similar
you know, it actually wasnt that farfetched. you can see how get out is really similar to his sketches, except instead of funny punchlines you get freaky twists
I honestly think this is the most removal of sins I have ever seen in a CinemaSins video. That is how good Get Out is.
hes making up for frifay but X warned us
I loved this movie, but totally agree with the cliche of Jeremy coming back from a massive head injury to attack Chris again, and with Rose not noticing the flash and handing "grandpa"the gun. She's way too smart for that.
The scene with Rose trying to make the policeman not take Chris’s ID was to ensure that there wasn’t a paper trail connecting the two, not to give Chris false trust. (This was confirmed in an interview) Such a good movie
Ben Wrobel
It's really clever because initially I thought it was a scene about her "defending" him to the cops, to really emphasize that she was "not a racist" for her own self image, and making it all much worse while ignoring the what the person who was actually at risk thought.
Your idea makes so much sense, so does the assumption that she was trying to earn his trust because that's definitely what a "not a racist" would think they are doing.
The sin count should be in the negative I swear.
Yeah, and also looks Chris was picked because he don't have close family that will look for him too much (or at least I believe that).
Ben Wrobel If it's not explained in the movie, it's a sin.
Ozma DaSilva it's fairly obvious in my opinion but idk
im confused. "connect the two" what? chris and rose?

there’s a theory that andre was on the phone to rose, because they must have been “dating” at the time. therefore jeremy knew he’d be there because rose must have been talking to both of them at the same time.

The scene of Chris walking towards the dead deer has meaning when you learn that his mom had also died from an accident, so the deer, alongside other things in the movie, has a parallel with his mother's death.
