Nah, it’s cool and all, but I’ll keep my JT Super-Willys. $35k is too much for a bare bones non-daily Jeep.
Nope, automatic transmission is a Pass for me.
Nope, I got my 2-door Sport JL under $28k and now has that lift, lockers, on board air, and sitting on 35’s/ geared 4.56. I even have doors! Why would I want the shortcut? Heck, my old ‘94 YJ Sport S was $15,000 and was a better deal.
$35k is waaaay too much for that. Should be $20k-25k. New Jeep prices are asinine.
No one is going to pay $37k on what is essentially a street legal golf cart.

Needs a soft top and door option for bad weather.
I drove a Scout II for years with a bikini top and steel doors with windows. If you were driving into the rain, it was OK. BUT sitting at lights, you'd get wet.
A manual transmission and selectable lockers would be great, as well as 3 different R&P ratios to choose from 🤔😏🤞
I'll stick with finding a well equipped CJ-5, thanks. You can't replace/replicate that classic...
It is not cheaper than the sport model, they really should have dropped the price lower like a 25-8k price
I see basic Sport models for $32k with the added hardtop and AC. Those are overpriced, this is pure Silliness!

I paid 28k for my 2018 JKU, it came with the same radio a roof and 4 doors. Greedy manufacturers

So, no roof, no doors, no glass, no ability to add doors so it's basically a factory assembled Dune Buggy Kit for 35 grand... Insane... But they'll be buyers just to have the first ones...
The 4Runner would not be a market competitor of the 'Shortcut'. No one would cross-shop these two...

KISS METHOD. $8K for pickups was the new standard (gm subaru toyota ford kia)... til ford saids a $5k pickup is in the making. jeep, make it competitive or you lose. $5k is pu standard. no cvt's or automatics allowed

The 6MT is not a good match with the Pentastar V6. The 3.6L does not produce much torque at low RPMs (it's really a 'car' engine IMO). The 8 speed auto would maximize the torque curve much better. I got rid of my 6MT Gladiator because of it, and I normally only buy manuals; still own two of them...

It’s a JK stripped down for the price you used to be able to buy a base Rubicon for in 2016. Lol
2.0 i4 Turbo is a way better motor...
