Found your channel after a friend took me fishing, I didn't catch anything that day and was discouraged, but after a month or two of research and watching your channel, we planned a trip and I caught my first trout. As soon as I hooked it and pulled him out I realized why the channel is named Addicted! Love the content bro keep it up.
On the White River here in Arkansas, we jig around rocks for sculpin with #8 hooks and a piece of worm. Then we use them for live bait to catch big brownies
Following you guys was one of the best things I’ve ever done!! Went out earlier today, did a treble hook along with a power bait and I caught a trout almost instantly! Thanks so much for your content!!
Jordan recently found Addicted channel and Stay Fishy channel. Love what you are doing. Educating and informing folks. Bonus of your four legged fishing buddies. Keep slaying um!
Love ur videos man, been doing trout fishing for years and I still learn stuff! Gonna have to try the jig method, usually stick to spinners. I usually have to cast almost straight up river or just off at a sharp angle since I fish tiny creeks and streams in Michigan !
Haven’t been fishing in years. Just started watching your videos a few weeks ago prior to a recent trip to Wyoming. I noticed how easy you get the hooks out, do you use barbless hooks? Keep up the great work.
Panther Martens catch more fish plus the blade directly attached to the lure shaft does a more effective job of blocking the lure as it hits obstructions, resulting in fewer snags. Spending five minutes to get a snag out and/or re-tying another lure is time when you absolutely are not catching fish.
Panther Martin lures are the BEST lure on earth, yellow Body and blade with red dots its my 1st choice 2nd is black body green dots and a silver blade. Try em they'll change your life!
Hey could you show us how you set up the drag on your fishing reels? I've looked through your videos and couldn't find one but if you do could someone link it to me? Thanks for another awesome video!
Hey man your video are the best. Your a good fisherman thanks for all the info. You should come to Vancouver Island one time and do a video would be cool to meet you
I started off using Rooster Tails, but my buddy who was using Panther Martens was catching 2 to 3 times as many fish. I since have switched to Panther Martens and I’m doing much better.
The river near me is full of massive brown trout and Chinook salmon. I've used everything from a rooster tail to spoon to jerk bait, but nothing is biting. What am I doing wrong?
Gotta find where the fish are. By the sounds of it you're near a Lake Michigan tributary, where the Chinook act much different than out in the PNW. It's mostly about location, location, location with the bigger fish. Big browns love deep runs/pockets of deeper, moving water, and they love eating fish. Try using some live minnows under a float through those areas, or drifting a spinner/jerkbait through there if you're confident there aren't snags
Im new to fishing and learning about fishing in rivers just like your doing in this video. Why use such a long rod when you dont need to cast far? Everything I have researched recommends a shorter rod...?
@ 11:30 - What is the point of tying on a barrel swivel to the end of the line and then adding 2 more feet and tying the lure to the end? Why not just tie the lure directly and forgo the swivel? I get the swivel will allow for the lure to twist and spin but does it really spin that much? I guess my concern would be it seems like just another thing to tie on and something else that'll get tangled up easily.
My man uses stronger line and leader for creek trout then we use here for salmon and steelys haha 12 lb main 8-10 leader 😂 we run 4-6 for little creek trout
Any tips for if my lure/bait keeps coming to the bank when i put tension on the line? Is it just cause of the current? Unavoidable? Would love to send a couple vids of my specific situation if yall have an email box open.
THe rod you recommend isn't available anymore the Okuma 7 ft 6 inch ultra light and yours was 4-10 lb line weight. all I can find is 2-6lb line. is the 4-10lb more important than rod length if I get the 2-6lb line can I still put on 20lb braided line like you recommend?
I know everyone swears by roosters/spinners for the calm spots, it seems like it’s what’s taught 101, but personally I’ve always had better luck with small kastmasters and phoebes
jesus, as someone who has no ideal how to handle fishing lures you make me nervous with the hooks. i hooked myself 5 times just watching this video lol
It’s braided line to a 10 pound bumper. The bumper is hooked to 8 pound leader via swivel. He is using 20 pound braided line because he won’t have to re-spool as much fish can break the leader though.
I must catch trout. I must smoke trout. (Not in my bong, in my smoker.) I must eat trout. I must stop spending hundreds and thousands of dollars on fishing gear and watching hundreds and thousands of hours of RUclips fishing videos without catching a damn thing.
“Now for the line, i want a rod with x3+y3+z3=k line strength” brother you’re over complicating it, it’s a beginner video, it should be as simple as “getcha a rod this big and getcha this here jig and get to fishin”
Getting back into fishing after 31 years. All your tips, techniques, and tutorials have been a godsend....not to mention entertaining.
Yellow body silver blade or black body rooster tails never let me down! 💪🏼
Hello Victoria 👋 yellows, browns and greens and blacks all my favorite colors of spinners for trout.
@@weedhopper hey Hopper! ✌🏼
Yep I agree with you there on the colors, although I have yet to get my hands on a brown rooster tail!
Bro check the midnight rooster tail i seen them and bout all i could 😂
Jordan I need me some of them jig you make big fan of them
I was HITTING off an all black panther martin. Looked just like a black spider
Thank you addicted fishy, awesome knowledge, love bobber fishing. Need some of your worms 😂

I’ve been waiting sooooooooooo long for y’all to upload! Much love from Provo, UT
Rooster tails are good, but I've always been a blue fox kinda feller.
Thanks jordan keeping it simple and methodic.thats how i approach it as well, always appreciate the tutorials bro🤘
Thank you Jordan for letting people know there are OUTSTANDING affordable rods and reels out there!
Great advice! Honestly I just knot a small swivel to the main line and put a spinner on and catch trouts with no issues. But this info is great
The day you posted a video it's a good day!
rod tip up while you set the hook will make them more likely to hang on! love your videos bro! thank you!
Good informative vid for beginners like me. You make tieing various knots look so easy... Lol

Glad it was helpful!
Man can’t wait to see more michigan videos
I just tied my first Bill Herzog jig can't wait to try it
Love a rooster tail but the mepps has caught me the most and biggest fish. Also love the fact that I can use my sink it series jigs for twitching 😁😁
Mepps for the Win!!
Thank you! I really enjoy the how to videos.
Super small bead are my favorite way to get some trout on the line any time I’m out there😀
Great content thank you for sharing
Sierra slammer MiniJig in the predator or grasshopper color. 2lb izorline. 6’ daiwa presso UL.
Such a helpful en nice video bro! one question remains to me, do you fish the bottom when fishing with bobber or doesn’t it matter to much?
Haven’t been fishing in years. Just started watching your videos a few weeks ago prior to a recent trip to Wyoming. I noticed how easy you get the hooks out, do you use barbless hooks? Keep up the great work.
How can people fish rooster tails when there is the much better panther martin out there?
They both work!
@@AddictedFishing You would like it better if it was a Panther Marlin!!!
@@philabowl8073
All I use is panther. Roosters blade don't roll half the time. Plus they
Can't be fished as slow as a panther either

Panthers over roosters any day

Jordan, been wondering what size hook is on that 1/8oz jig head you tied.

I thought it was to help with wind knots/twist but not entirely sure
What's the best sunglasses you guys have found to spot fish? Just curious
Can we get a tour of the jet sled like you did with the t-rex

I think 🤔 my favorite way to fish is the one that catches fish!! 😆
Where can I get the trout twitch jigs?
When are you doing a live feed at buoy 10?
Can you guys make catfishing videos! And these type of tutorials
Whats the lowest lb line you use? Ive never used anything higher than 4 😅
Jordan, you should come to Michigan mid month next month and fish tippy dam with all us commoners and catch some kings!!
You see all these beautiful rivers & streams these guys fish and you really suggest he travel to go fish in front of a dam for trapped fish?
@@fnamelname3391 its a general area. Plenty of water downstream, and its some of the finest salmon fishing in the US.
Dude i’ve caught 50 pound strippers on 18 pound test mono why do you need some crazy braid for tiny creek fish?
The Rooster Tail story about being global is true, all I’ve found is making sure the metal is straight and spins proper.
Nice
Can y’all have Jordan do some new fly fishing vids? He simplifies everything so nicely. Other fly “teachers” can be over whelming. Thanks!
I find mepps work better more diverse too
I'd roll and smoke Jordan in a creek trout fishing throwdown. Whatchu know about perdigons?
Now i just need to find a guide for snake river sized rivers
Alot of trout I’ve caught were 5 feet in front of me and I see them hit my bait right before I take it out the water
