Finally a new case with space for more than one or two HDDs. And it's not even one that's incredibly large like their big The Tower cases. I've been very curious about this case and I'm happy to see an in-depth review of it.
Good video, as always. Looking forward to your Montech King 95 build... can't wait to see your best fan configurations for that to get an idea of that's the case I'll get in the future.
Just bought this case for $20 at an auction, it had everything, was never opened or used, I was surprised, it works great for my needs, a little too big for my liking but I can over that. Not a huge fan of the IO facing up as now I got to get a some extensions or longer cables, I ended up just buying a Powered USB hub and gluing a HDD Magnet on the bottom of it so I only got 1 USB cable and couple of display port cables.
Nice review, only thing I'd mention is that the buttons and connectors are on top of the case and as well on the other side of it, which is annoying b/c the proper side to place the case is on the right side so You can see it. If You have a case like this one, You want to have it over the table, not on the ground.
Hey Chris! Any idea why my settings app won’t open at all on windows 11? The icon on the taskbar says it’s opened but nothing is appearing, should I be worried?
thank you for covering the topic about GPU temperatures. I almost bought this case today. But I am glad that I decided to make research first and found about the issue with GPU position and temperatures. So, the main reason for buying this case is to make a lot of room for your components and with additional cooling make GPU run at lower temperatures. But it looks like instead of lower temperature it only rose 14 degrees :) So, it is probably the best proof that the experiment with such graphic card position has failed. P.S. in other review the temps were higher too, but no one openly discussed this. That's why I thank you for being honest.
I love how the Seel legend gpu kinda matches that Taichi mobo. How are the temps on that gpu in that vertical position? ive read some issues about people having their gpu temps skyrocket.
Great to see 7 3.5" HDD installation locations that are consealed. However, am I right to understand that all 7 HDD's would have no airflow? Seems like the HDD life would be shortened without the active cooling?
Hello Christopher, I need your advice. I have a question regarding Lian Li fans. Last year I bought the 5 pack of white SL 120 fans, I put 3 on the bottom and two on top in a Lian Li Snow White Mini case. Now I wanna buy the rest of the remaining fans, two SL 140 to put them on the side and two more SL 120, one for the top and the last one on the other side next to the air cooler. The problem is that now I only find "V2" of the 120 fans and those are not compatible with mine so I can't buy the ones I need; there are not on sale on my Amazon country. Now my question is the following: Can I maintain 3 Lian Li "V1" fans and 3 "V2" fans separately? That is, 3 below and 3 on top? each one with its corresponding control of course. The idea would be the following: x3 Lian Li SL 120 "V2" below x3 Lian Li SL 120 "V1" on top x2 Lian Li SL 140 "V1" on the side. You think it should work? or Im screwed and I need to buy the full fans again?
nice review. I actually prefer loose front panel wires. Since then I can connect the reset button to clear cmos pins. This is even better then having a mobo button imo.
*Fantastic* video, thanks Chris! I'm almost sold on this case but your GPU thermals analysis has me wondering whether the GPU that I'm considering will stay cool enough mounted upright in this case. Where might I find horizontal / vertical / upright / inverted upright thermal tests for various GPUs, say specifically RTX 40 series GPUs? In my case, I'm planning on starting with 1x GPU but I'm drafting a workstation build that can accommodate two or more GPUs. Thanks again!
You'll have to excuse me if this was answered since I skipped around in the video... but why in the world would you set every single fan to intake except the top two fans? You are using an aftermarket GPU in upright orientation, which means the heatsink blades are horizontal. You have an absolutely insane amount of positive pressure in the case, and fans blowing towards the GPU on both sides. The intakes fans on the GPU cooler have to compete against your case fans on both sides to actually expel the hot air. This configuration would only work in blower style coolers, which expel out the top. I think you should have simply made your CPU radiator exhaust. I currently have a 4090 AIO in this case, and the AIO radiator is in exhaust configuration. My CPU is very low wattage (7800X3D). My GPU temps are better than every single reviewer I have seen using this GPU. Also am not sure if your EVO XL actually had the rear panel off like that. Anyway this case is far from perfect (mine doesn't even have a working USB-C port, which is great....), but it has great airflow. You simply have to plan differently.
I cant decide if I like it. It's kind of unnecessarily large. Multiple inches everywhere of pointless panel depth, and huge empty chamber inside that could be squashed in by 6 inches or so. But the airflow design is great. Edit and oof, you can see the gpu video cable coming out at the top, that's an eye sore.
This gent is one of the most underrated reviewers. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate that!

It ticks a lot of boxes
Thank you for your work and all the time you take to explain how to use this case. You helped me build my pc after i watched your CH370 video!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for the super detailed reviews. Thanks to your review, I have chosen a new case👍👍👍
Keep up the good work

Just purchased this after your review cheers

The great review earned my subscription. Thanks.
Thanks
thermaltake still makes innovations. I love the company.
You sir are awesome! Thank you for your detailed quality awesome hard work. Really enjoy your content!
Thanks
thanks for the review. I think I've found my case.

Great stuff Chris,
Thanks 👍 really enjoyed putting it together. Looking forward to checking out more of your cases in the future
Great video, I would like to see the IO assembled with the tubes down.
Your channel's awesome man
Can you do a build pc with the aio frozen notte 240 white?
Which pcie riser cable did you use a straight or 90 degree?

No problem 👍

Thank you very much!
Could you do a guide on how to build the Lian Li 011D Evo XL in Reverse Mode ?
Awesome channel btw !

looking over at reddit, it seems like the 4000 series might have some problems with heat on this case.

No GPU sag. What a game changer.
One less thing to worry about
8 fans intake vs 2 fans exaust.... Feels so wrong to me....
One of these days a case manufacturer will build a full house and release it as a new pc case 😅
