I imagine a girl standing in front of a mirror singing this to herself as her multi personality disorder increases leaving her scared and sad afraid to be herself for she has forgotten
At the end of the song when they’re arguing, I imagine the sister who wants to stay together finally gives in and agrees to risk surgery to split. But when the one that wanted her space wakes up after surgery to find out only she made it. Then to make things worse as the song ends she finds out from a doctor that there was only ever going to be one survivor, and that her sister knew that and sacrificed herself just so the other could be their own person. Finally, she was alone.
I love how their voices are just barely not cracking, feeling on edge like they're getting more and more stressed. From the beginning there's this underlying feeling to the song, with hints in the lyrics, until at the end it swells up into their fight. All the red flags were there... but you couldn't see them until too late.
This song has such an eerie vibe to it, especially since it’s based off of two real twin girls in the late 1800s to early 1900s. It really makes you think about what a dark time period it was for two conjoined twins.
I was being all emotional until I jumped out of my skin when my headphones said “bAttEry lOw-“
If you're a conjoined twin you can never switch sleeping positions..

Can we just agree that this song can have a 10 million different meanings

I can't imagine being attached to anyone. It would drive me insane
Could we plz stop with the “only people that were here before the Dream SMP SAD-ist animation can like” it really doesn’t matter.

"A parasite needs a host "
When she said “I just want you here with me!” And he said “I just want my privacy!” That made me sad
