This is perfect! This perfectly captivates Six's and Mono's friendship through the course of the game until the end where they both feel betrayed by each other.
Its so sad six has no idea what she's doing because she's still a kid.
The animation captures how anger can make you do things you don’t mean and sometimes those things can affect you in ways you never thought

I feel like six was too much like I understand that in the game she had seen the monste but for real sis, you just killed your bestie like come on you lost my trust when you ate the gnome you lost my respect when you did that to mono.
@@thelifeofamushroom7430 Well, Mono betrayed her twice and kept dragging her into danger, so it was somehow deserved. Also, Six knew what the sausage was made of and probably had no idea that the gnomes were kids, so she chose the latter instead of what used to be a kid(the sausage)

You completely recreated the last moments PERFECTLY.
This is definitely one of my favorite little nightmares animations till date. That one part where Six said “I never asked for this” because she really didn’t want to be saved and Mono breaking her box is what caused her to resent him and just.... WOW.

I was getting pretty upset with how a lot of people see Six as purely evil. I’m really glad I found this. It made me cry. I feel so bad for both of them.
I agree sm. They need to learn that a story has different sides. We have only witnessed Mono's perspective throughout the game, we never got to learn Six's. Hopefully, in DLC , we will play as her.

*"Well I never asked for this. I never wanted this. All that I want is some time to myself!"* Makes me think, at least within, this MV's interpretation of the story, that Six had a fairly calm life before meeting Mono, as calm as as a child living in a shit hole world where everything wants to kill you could have, while she was lonely at least she had her music box to keep her calm, but after traveling with Mono, her life became more dangerous she got kidnapped and nearly killed multiple times, when she was kidnapped and transformed into a monster by the Thin Man, that was the last straw for her, and she blames Mono for her life becoming more hellish than before.
Of course Mono never intended for this. He was a lonely child in a shitty world where friends are rarities. He was selfless to a fault where he never found it a burden to rescue Six every time she was in danger. She was his friend, and his only friend. They were unstoppable working together. He believed as long as they remained together, everything would be okay.
And this MV's take of Six letting go of Mono in a blind moment of anger makes the betrayal all the more heartbreaking. Six has to carry the guilt of impulsively dropping her only friend, and Mono has to live knowing the friend he risked his life for left him to die.
I know nothing about Little Nightmares, but by god did this make me Feel Things. This is amazing, I swear, you can do no wrong.

I really don't see why people make Six out as evil. Trauma brought them together, they only teamed up because they had no choice. What doesn't kill you may make you stronger, but it also fucks you up. As a survivor of trauma, I relate heavily to Six. I imagine she struggles constantly with what she had to do, trying to reconcile her actions with herself. She did what she thought she had to do in order to survive, and I wish people would stop demonizing her for that.

i agree with this, im sure she had a good reason as to why she dropped him, maybe she no longer felt safe and thought he would cause her harm, i dont know, something could have even happened to her in that tower none of us saw what but it could also be something scary or traumatic

Most of that is as a result of what six did, and I don't think the teaming up thing was only of trauma. In the beginning, it was still Mono trying to save six, and it was the same to the end. Everything he did was of good intention, despite it not being the best route.
Not very logical to betray the person who went out of their way to protect you if you wanna survive

You...you got me tearing up......this is perfect, the emotion, the scenes, the art, them having a bond then it ending when the music box broke. Then they fight before he falls? This is perfect 🥺 and I’m loving the heck out of it.
The ending in this animatic hit hard and it makes me cry when I think about the fact that only one of them came out while the other was trapped there
I like how in the scene at 2:08 mono has this overpowering vibe of "All that matters to me is that you're safe now" and six unfortunately isn't having any of it

And you made the last moments exactly how I think it went.
Six let go of Mono out of anger towards him,but in the end,even if she's seen as heartless and cold by most of the fandom,she regretted it a lot and what she did terrified her. But she couldn't undo it now. It was over.
Damn, even after 2 years this is still probably my most favorite LN animatic.

Their last chase scene with eachother is perfect for this song, I feel like alot of people jump to believing Six is just a evil child when she really was just at peace and Mono yanked her out of it. I really do believe they love eachother and she didnt WANT to drop him and was just angry. Even her body language in the secret ending suggests shes lonely and shocked at herself.

the creator of the whole dam game made it so that mono and six could bond while fighting off monsters in an endless nightmares but tarsier studios really went "nah, lets increase the graphics and put more effort into the heart-breaking ending for all of our players :)"

This usage of the song is a metaphor about how they disagree and sometimes they wonder if they should stick together. Some scenes don't fit, but I particularly love the scene at the end with the parasite needing a host. This actually, in a way, justified sixes actions. She didn't want this. She dropped him in a moment of pure anger... the two call out to eachother... in a desperate attempt to here... but fail... six moves on.. and continues... while mono stays their and cries... moving to the chair... neither truly in the wrong...

I love how you added a whole argument at the end which adds a lot for why Six did what she did. The shock Mono had in his eyes and the regret Six had in hers when she lets him go makes it all the more moving. Brilliant recreation.

I think (and It's my theory) that the music box was a stop of the nightmare for Six, she felt safe, and what she feel is that "Mono brooke my safe space", and also When she saw him in the eyes (first time he isn't covered up by something) she saw the Thin Man, the both things scare her so she let him go.

@@mariaposadasilva2170 I’ve heard this theory before and I kinda believe the same. Though, I also think that wasn’t what was tipped her over. I think she was just going to be frosty with him after what happened, but when she finally got a good look at him when holding his arm, she recognized his face as the thin mans. So, that combined with the music box, enraged her. In that fit of blind rage and pitiness, she dropped him, hoping to kill him/the thin man. She is still a child after all, so kids be petty.
This video really reminds me of how young both six and mono are. They have an immature fight and six does something she regrets. The only thing I would change is I would add the moment where six smashes the porcelains boy head in as that gives more meaning to the "you're always scared of me" and I would make mono after that point a little scared of six. That line and the "you never cared for me" line really hit me, it feels very much like six and mono could say that. Great work though, I really like it and I think you did very good with the drop scene, everytime I see that I just imagine them muttering each other's names in the place of evelyn
also hits hard because, the more she saves him from the tv, the more six is afraid of mono.
@@rinokumura6615 yep. People tend to overlook, at least when they first play, how absolutely devastated and terrified six acts when the thin man comes through the screen. She goes to grab at monos sleeve only for him to inch closer to the tv and then recoil in pain. Then of course the whole six recognizing mono to be the thin man theory for why six betrayed him. Six wasn't and isn't evil, just a scared, albeit twisted, kid.
The really cool thing about this particular animation is that they spun it. Typically it seems like the female singer (mono) would be in the wrong for trying to keep them together and the male singer (six) is trying to get away from a toxic/bad relationship. It blows my mind how you twisted it very differently. Crazy good job!!

The reason i feel that this is so great, along with the gorgeous art style and music choice, is that this really depicts there emotions that we don't fully get to see in the game. this is what I like to believe six and mono felt by the end of the gamebetween each other. extremely powerful, great animatic. i need more little nightmares content like this. Incredible job!

This is so perfect! The second time I played the game this is exactly how I imagined everything. Six was just overwhelmed and mad because of her music box. So she let him go. But she then realized what she had done.. the face of instant regret was so perfect. Also when she said “I never asked for this” it fit so much because it’s true, she never did ask for Mono to save her from the hunters cabin. She didn’t ask for all the danger she got put in.. This got me crying so much the song fits so perfectly 😭

It’s exactly how I see it. They really cared for one another and six becomes horribly hurt when mono broke her music box her only comfort. Bringing her back to the world of pain she resents him.
And the regret she has when she drops him was amazing! I can’t imagine how bad she must have felt and u rlly did capture it really well!

This is perfectly done! It think what you did with the song fits Six and Mono well with the visuals. I love how it songs with Mono singing the boy parts and Six singing the girl parts, then it switches the parts after Mono destroyed her music box. I do believe in the theory that Six was doing all she did for survival, not for companionship. So of course she would feel that Mono is more of a parasite than helpful even though he had saved her a lot on their adventure. And Mono would be very emotional cause he wants someone to be his friend, thinking Six could be his friend after all this time of being alone, then he realizes Six wasn't ever his friend when she dropped him.
I also love the detail that Mono's hair was wild after he took off his bag. Truly bad hat hair! Nice detail! It's also nice that you made Six pause and cry after she dropped him as if she regretted the choice but what is done is done and she can't get him back. But at least Mono was spared from Six's hunger! Everyone is so surprised by her choice to drop Mono even before she knew hunger would curse her very being. But think about it, even though she was clueless to the starving hunger curse she'll gain afterwards, she had spared Mono from a fate of being eaten in the future. He was able to grow up, alone yes, but he was still alive. At least Six didn't have to eat Mono! He's lucky for avoiding that future fate!

i love this so much. the argument part of the song fits so well. i also liked how you had six let go of mono as a knee-jerk reaction. i believe that six didn't mean to let go of mono. i saw a comment one time that explained it as if you had a spider on your hand, you just instantly fling it off out of fear. they theorized that maybe six just saw thin man in mono and being scared and wanting to protect herself dropped him out of instinct

I love how this song demonstrates the bond between them! It's perfect Playing! Playing the game really FELT like going on a journey with Six; I felt connected to her, and the AI didn't break my immersion once. Now THAT'S impressive!!! I love the shot here of SIX turning towards the door and Mono turning towards the chair. They both have separate destinations. This was FANTASTIC; well done!!

no mater how many times i watch this, it never fails to hit me in the feels.
Oh my god this is SO GOOD! I already commented, like, a year ago about how I thought this was amazing, but watching it again, I realize that it's even better than I previously thought! So great! So underrated! The ending gives me chills every time!

I like to think that Six wasn't thinking straight when she let go of Mono, letting him fall. I like to think that at least she felt some kind of remorse afterwards because the endind is just too sad :(
I think she was, she didn't stay for even a second to realize what she did in the real game
I love how strong the facial expressions are in this. Phenomenal job.
Now that I loo bak at it, my problem wasn't exactly the fact that Six dropped Mono. It was that she didn't regret it.
This animation shows what I think the ending should've been. Her acting out in a fit of rage, then immediately regretting it afterwards.
But by then, it's too late. Mono's gone. All she can do, is keep moving forward.
That would've made the ending 10 times better, and I'm positive that people wouldn't've acted the same way they did when Mass Effect 3 rolled around.
We don't necessarily see that she didn't regret it. She is not very emotive in the scene. It could be that she is holding it in.
I think what they were going for was for it to be up to interpretation what Six did.
You can see how stiff she seems as she slowly walks to the door way, and this entire seen you never see his face.
It only gets more sad when you realize that mono and six were literally like 9. Also incredible job this is wonderful!

I discovered Evelyn Evelyn because of this video, and this video has completely changed how I see Little Nightmares II. Thank you for making this.
Alot of people hate Six for betraying Mono and a few think it is because he destroyed her music box or that it is because Mono looks like Thin Man. But we all got to remember that no matter what kind of world they are in they are still kids. Anger and fear can cloud their judgement and the tower around them closing in on them certainly didn't help either.
its such a complex relationship because in the end they both felt betrayed by one another for something they did in the future in retaliation of the other

I just can’t imagine the feeling of sheer regret after six dropped mono- it’s just that feeling of *”oh”* and the fact that there’s no going back after that just makes it worse, add to that how much they had both been through together and it just hits like a truck
Don’t mind me, just about my 20th time this month watching this meme, It keeps popping up in recommendations and each time without hesitation I play it, I don’t know what it is but this animation tugs at the back of my mind, it pulls at my heartstrings that only I can describe as a personal connection to these events portrayed in this video, all I can say is thank you for making this.
