When you said "You are in control," I thought about how everyone brings on their feelings and problems on themselves whether they are good or not, and I have depression but the causes of it do not make sense and the more I think about it, I remember during my childhood I watched and read books/movies/tv-shows that omanticized mental illnesses and as f**ked up it may be, I always thought about how I wanted to be one of the main characters who was mentally ill. Even though this doesn't have much to do with the video I have an epiphany that if I change my mindset then I can overcome my depression and other mental illnesses.

I guess I'll just watch a video from him everytime I need to get in the mood of study, because I immediately start smiling when I watch one of his videos xD
I really needed something like this. I'm a chronic procrastinator and I've always wished that I could stop but I never do and wind up getting my projects done on time and well enough to be complimented. I realized through watching your videos that the fact that I get these compliments on my good work after procrastinating and the fact that I finish on time works almost like a reward system for my 'bad' behaviours. I get rewards for skating by and it only encourages me to continue doing so. I also only ever stop my procrastination to start projects when I get to the point when I see that time is running out and the fear of failing the project pushes me to start and cram a bunch of work into all-nighters to finish. All of this to say that I've been using rewards and fear/pain as my motivators but never tried to do it on my own. Mostly because I never knew how to do it effectively. I also have been using a lot of negative self-talk and whining about my projects and classes a lot which now I see has affected the way I approach the work. There is so much that you've taught me in this one video that has made me evaluate my attitude toward my school work. I'm so excited now to go work on my latest project after trying your steps along with you. I felt silly doing it but what's a few minutes of being silly in private if it brings life-changing results. I was so surprised to notice how terribly my posture was at the moment in the video when you spoke about it. I was smiling and laughing so much when I did the jumping up exercise too. It was fun and silly and put me in a good mood ever since. Ive only recently discovered your videos but each one has been tremendously helpful and I've shared with my sister who is starting college soon. You have got a new subscriber!

Matt, your an absolute legend!! Here i am, jumping around screeming like a nutcase, with you on screen, while laughing uncontrollably. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world. I am now a subscriber and a fan for sure. If i can request a subject for a vid, i would like to ask; There is this trap, that if you are talentet at something, you are not really inclined to work hard on the given subject, while less talented people overtake you, because they have good work ethics and are more disciplined. Could you talk about how these talentet individuals avoid this trap, and on how to move on from this "stuckness" ? Thank you.
Hello Kewin. Your comment made my day... AND it's Father's Day besides, so a perfect time to get it. I even read it out loud to my wife and daughter.
I'm so pleased you find these ideas to be so beneficial to you. It's wonderful to count you among my subscribers.
The topic for a new video is intriguiing. I'll do some research and see what I might do about it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Can't believe, watched this about an year ago. I'm doing so well in academics!! I remember being freaked out of maths, I just got full marks a week ago, I'm so proud of myself and really really thanks to you, sir! My peers were surprised, yes I did it because I wanted external respect, because of peer pressure, but also because of taking small step and mirror one worked miracles for me!! Thanks, again, sir.
Respect and love from India
Hello Drishti. Namaste. I am excited for you. The fact that you would take a moment to give me an update after a year is truly impressive. You should be proud of yourself. I am proud of you too. You made my day by sending me this message. Shukriya!
Odd things sometimes are the better things.
I liked your first Video "How to absorb textbooks like a sponge" for my Criminal Investigation. Then found this video. Great speaker and motivator. Thank you, I needed this.
Hello Sherry. I'm happy to be of service to you. Glad you found me. Hope you check out my newer videos too, as I've learned a lot about better production. Tell me... are you studying Criminal Justice or in the Police Academy, or something like that? (Am a big supporter of Law Enforcement.)
The way you talk is already motivating. Thank you! :)
Hello there Katalin. What a nice thing to say. Much appreciated. I'm so pleased you got value from this content. I've got a lot more on my channel. Hope you enjoy the other videos too. Thanks for viewing and especially for posting your comment.

RUclips algorithm trying to help me get my shit back together after making me a dopamine junkie with meme videos.
I guess I'll just watch a video from him everytime I need to get in the mood of study, because I immediately start smiling when I watch one of his videos xD
This is basically just telling us to make a 2nd personality which is PreTTy GoOd. I love this
Ohh that is a cool way to look at it
I really needed something like this.
Surely this man is the reason I tell my self every day not to give up.good job sir keep up support from india.

Dear Sir,I just missed out my online Biology class to see this video and I didn't regret it.U literally changed my mood in a few minutes. This is amazing. This is your second video I just watched. The first one was "How to absorb text books like a sponge".I have been finding it hard to apply cuz I had hardly been in the mood to study highly informative subjects like Biology.Still I m sure it will work.I just have to apply the technique.I needed this video the most cuz I have been feeling low for a while.I m pretty sure most of us r sitting on our bottoms too much and confusing it with depression.I m pretty sure ur children r proud of u.I would have been if u were my father.U should really consider going to ted talks.U r already changing a lot of live. And one more thing, how r u so amaaaaazinnnnn

You’re chasing my attitude towards learning. The practical advice is helping me get better at learning and thus enjoy it more. I’m trying to change the bias I have that I’m bad at conceptual learning (and only prosper in learning by doing)

I'm doing chartered accountancy in India, in the CA finals stage where the syllabus is unending and I would take infinite time to have a grasp of chapters. I followed your "absorbing textbook like a sponge" video last week and since then my studies have found a new speed and me , a new hope for my exams which are due in a month.
