OMYGOD Mr. DiMaio thank you SO much for this video!! I just got back to college and because of CoVid, I had to resort to online classes!! It's been driving me crazy because I've learned that I like lecture-type classes where I listen and take important notes, talking with other students/study groups, printing out material; PowerPoints, articles and using computer labs for typing up notes and study time. Also, I'm used to physical books and learned that I can't stand e-books sorry lol. But your video and suggestions are SO going to help me adapt and pass my classes!! And yes you are SO right when it comes to having self-discipline, no distractions etc. God bless you Mr. DiMaio and with your advice and videos, I know I will accomplish my goals of getting my Associates!! Stay safe and well Sir!! 🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼
I am so lucky to have found your videos. The video about textbooks was always on my recommendation but I always procrastinate on watching it. And I just watched it tonight. It led me to this video, and then I even subscribed to the channel. I have been having struggles with online learning. And I am really thankful for the work you do. I will apply everything I learned to my classes and I definitely am sure that I will finish this semester well as long as I apply everything you taught us. Oh. Btw, I will study first and then I would watch one or two of your videos at the end of the day every day as my prize for studying. Looking forward to more of your wise and compassionate videos. Thank you for emphasizing the fact that online learning IS NOT easier than a traditional class setup as well.
ok, so it is literally so hard to describe how underrated this sir is !!!!! i have watched so many of your videos and u are really really helpful, informative and practical!! omg u, and especially your methods should have so much more recognition !! do u have a video on how to balance assignments/homework as well as studying for the exam? its gettting hard as assignments are so many and exams are so near. thank u for putting out greay content btw. :)
Welcome back Jan. Always pleased to see your comments. Yesterday I began expanding the information in this video and turning it into my next BOOK. I'll be posting an update as soon as it's available.
Mike thank you so much for this video!! As a former multitasker I can attest to the fact that multitasking does not work!! And being a visual learner I've been struggling with focusing in general because I tend to stray to social media or the internet, especially when I don't sleep well!! And with e-books, I cannot stand them lol, but SO hoping your tips help me moving forward!! Have a blessed day and stay safe and well Mike!!🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼

more than 10 years ago I passed on really hard tests, studying from 7 am to 10 pm, almost everyday. No youtube, no big social medias.. It was hard but the hard part was the test not the study, I was able to start study and keep studying all day, with some small breaks of course. And I also had some friends studying together, on the classes and after the class. Now I changed my life to another area and I have tons of online courses to learn but there is no College saying you need this grade....... there is nothing. It is just me trying to learn something new and getting better. But omg so many distractions, especially because I need to study on my computer. I wish I could go back to books but I have no choice. It is so hard.. to study! No big test coming, no grades, nothing. I need that to get a job and have a better life, even with that in mind a lot of times during the days it is so hard to study. Idk, if because it is only me on this path (my learning path) that it is so hard, feels lonely sometimes and all I can do is go online and see whats going on but this break any mood to keep studying. To add there is also... "Did you look for a job today?".. I know I need a job but nobody is going to hire me if I don't improve. Especially with this COVID thing. Now I am looking for videos like this, to understand what is going on and keep the focus. To be honest my youtube looks way cooler now (no more news or anything like that), just "how to improve" and gdc talks xD.

Thanks for checking in with me. I'm so pleased you found these ideas to be helpful. In fact due to the overwhelmingly positive responses I've gotten to this content I've expanded some of these points and have written my 3rd book: "Straight 'A' Strategies for SUCCESSFUL ONLINE LEARNING". It will be available on Amazon before the end of the month.
I have been looking for online learning strategy tutorials that will convey the importance of self discipline that actually sink into my 16 year old son's breautiful, smart yet challenging brain, without him glazing over as just another crazy thing Mom said. You reached him, motivated him. He is saving your tutorials now and actually getting into the action part of his well intended plans. Online learning is now his reality. Not by choice but sudden circumstances that threw so many students into it without the structure and guidance. Even parents find this new reality hard. That was not how we were taught. Conventional schools do a whole lot of that prep work for students. He now appreciates it so much more. Thank you.
Mia... WOW! Your comments are PRECIOUS to me. I am humbled. The fact that your wonderful son was helped by some of my ideas is the very reason I pour myself into this content. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH. Thank you for taking the time to send me this note. I truly appreciate it. And please extend my personal regards to your son.

Hello there sir DiMaio thank you for the video. I have a question hope you could reply. Why is it harder for me to remember information when the notes I have taken is from my phone and computer, but a lot easier for me to remember when "notes" are written from a paper?
Hello Dmtri. That is an EXCELLENT question. Here's the answer. It has to do with something called MSP: Multi Sensory Perception. That is, the more senses you use when learning something new, the more neural connections are made inside your brain. In other words, you're inputting information on multiple channels. I explain this in more detail in my series INSTANT CONCENTRATION here on my channel.
Hello Saurabh. It is best to NOT attempt to concentrate for long hours. It is best to focus on something for 25 to 45 mins. Take a 15 min break and then come back to it.
Hey Matt thanks for these useful tips. But can you tell me some tips on how to study online without experiencing digital eye strain and frequent headaches . These headaches skrew up my schedule. Expecting an early response.

Welcome back Devesh. So pleased to see you commenting on another video. The way I'm referring to MINDSET in this video is that it's your Viewpoint/Attitude/Outlook. Some people have a negative attitude before they even begin a new project. They get beaten by their own thoughts. Others are optimistic about their expected outcomes and they succeed with a natural advantage. You must be in control of the THOUGHTS to which you 'SET' your mind. Hence: MINDSET.
@@BeSmarterFaster I also wanna know that how to form that positive belief system For ex if I wanna lose weight, I know that I need to lose but the reality hits that you can't skip even for 15 mins( asking in general) How to have that belief system even thought the reality is different. Mr. DiMaio, you remind me of Winston Wolfe “The Wolf” from Pulp Fiction. You’ve clearly identified a need, you provide clear, concise solutions and you deliver them in a manner that isn’t condescending or over saturated. I can appreciate that and it’s helping me tremendously! Thank you sir!

Hello Spartan7. THANK YOU for the wonderful comment. I appreciate it! In truth, it is my pleasure to be of service to you. Hope you enjoy the other videos on my channel and get benefit from them too.
This man is the GOAT of professors. Pragmatic information ready to apply. Please keep sharing your expirience and wisdom, Thanks a lot! Best regards from Barcelona.
Literally it's the best video of this kind that i ever saw,Keep going :)
ok, so it is literally so hard to describe how underrated this sir is !!!!!
i have watched so many of your videos and u are really really helpful, informative and practical!!
omg u, and especially your methods should have so much more recognition !!
do u have a video on how to balance assignments/homework as well as studying for the exam?
its gettting hard as assignments are so many and exams are so near.
thank u for putting out greay content btw. :)
Watch this video more than one time. It contains a lot of valuable information. Thanks again.
Welcome back Jan. Always pleased to see your comments. Yesterday I began expanding the information in this video and turning it into my next BOOK. I'll be posting an update as soon as it's available.
Thank you sensei
Mike thank you so much for this video!! As a former multitasker I can attest to the fact that multitasking does not work!! And being a visual learner I've been struggling with focusing in general because I tend to stray to social media or the internet, especially when I don't sleep well!! And with e-books, I cannot stand them lol, but SO hoping your tips help me moving forward!! Have a blessed day and stay safe and well Mike!!🤗🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you so much for this video ! I am Frenchb(sorry for my poor English) and I will start med school next week and I'm so stressed because of the online classes, thanks to you I am more organized and well prepared !
Bonjour Mireille. Je suis heureux de faire votre connaissance.
By way of some encouragement. Here are a few testimonials from Medical Students from around the world.
+ "Thankyou sir.... I'm a medical student from India. This helps me read the bulky medical books effectively.ʘ‿ʘ" ~ SARATH GOPAN
+ "Hello sir, I have been following your method for almost 3.5 years now and it has never failed me. This is the only way I study. I started using this method in 11th and 12th grade, my pre-med course and still using it to this day, I am in second year of med school. Thank you so much!❤️🙏🏼"~ Manasee Telaang
+ "I'm a medical student and this helped me in my studies.Sir you are awsome and this is a practical technique .thank you thank you thank you so much." ~ Gayathri S Raveendran
+ "This has helped me read dense med school textbooks and remember what I read! Simple and effective, thank you! This takes longer than reading once over, but is shorter than reading twice! A lot of people think this is a shortcut, but these are the steps you take BEFORE you read the text. You're still reading the text, this is priming you so that you remember what you read. I can't believe people would think you can learn a chapter better by reading less words lol. SMH" ~ Richard Hawran, President Phoenix Learning Resources

@@BeSmarterFaster Great channel .. keep going, I wish this could have been there when we were in schools .
I wish I saw this 9 months ago , but I'm going work on it from now !!
Thanks sir🌺
I see you made this video right after we got kicked off campus due to the COOOF where online teaching became a reality! Luckily one of my Master's Degrees is in that area! 😇
Hello Steven. Thanks for posting your comment.
I'll be re-making this video. It contains good content but I was so new at shooting video that my lighting is an embarrassment. I look like I got caught in a radioactive storm. LOL
However the testimonials I got from this content inspired my Amazon book and I will be expanding some of this content into an inexpensive online course over the next month or so.
Thank you, sir! This is the 3rd video I've watched and your content are so helpful for my current situation.
Matt you are wonderful!!
Hello and THANK YOU a gulati. I appreciate you taking a moment to post your compliment.

Hi! Just watched your video back in 2015 and I really liked it!! So here I am to another video. Haven't tried your tips yet but I bet it will really help especially nowadays online classes are kinda unusual not to me but to students and teachers as well. Looking forward to watching your videos!
Glad it was helpful! And Welcome Back Panton. I'm pleased to be of service to you.
Sir, your videos came at just the right time! Not only have I been contemplating starting an online course during the summer, but with the current global situation, I might have to continue learning online for university. Many thanks! Greetings from Bulgaria!

THANK YOU. I'm so glad you got value from it. (I was worried about the lighting problems I had on that video. But a comment like yours is encouraging.)
Every word in this video is so true and helpful!. Thanks.
Hello again Jan. I'm so very pleased to see you connect with me here on YT like this. We should arrange a meeting via Zoom and have a personal talk.
@@BeSmarterFaster Wow, thank you Matt, that would be great. You should have my email address so please contact me to make an appointment which suits us both. Otherwise I will contact you.
more than 10 years ago I passed on really hard tests, studying from 7 am to 10 pm, almost everyday.
Hello Flavio. THANK YOU for this detailed post. I understand what you're saying. I have a video on my channel you may find helpful. ruclips.net/video/oWww27lFCPg/видео.html

I just started my online class and this helped me a lot. Thankyou!
U are amazing sir thankyou for this video
Most welcome
You got another follower here! Laughing with your intro hahaha cute.
You have got really great knowledge sir!
Tho I must say you should work on video lighting as well!
😀
You are right... on BOTH counts Md. 😃 That's why I specifically mention it right at the top of the description under the video. LOL.

@@BeSmarterFaster thank you so much that helps a lot. I'm looking forward to watch that series of "instant concentration" of yours.
Could you pull one of those books off the shelf?
LOL. Liam, you're funny. Thanks.
😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂
Sir please tell me how to concentrate for long hours while studying .
Hello Jordan. Sorry it took me a few days to reply. Been overwhelmed with new activity.
Truthfully, I don't have an immediate answer for you. It's something I'll need to research, as nobody has asked me this question before. Thanks for staying connected here on YT.
Hi again. I meant to ask. Are you THE Jordan Belfort or is it a YT handle you picked for yourself? Your site doesn't have any content so, I'm not sure which it is. Either way is just fine with me. But am curious. Thanks.

What actually do you mean by mindset??
Welcome back Devesh. So pleased to see you commenting on another video. The way I'm referring to MINDSET in this video is that it's your Viewpoint/Attitude/Outlook. Some people have a negative attitude before they even begin a new project. They get beaten by their own thoughts. Others are optimistic about their expected outcomes and they succeed with a natural advantage. You must be in control of the THOUGHTS to which you 'SET' your mind. Hence: MINDSET.
@@BeSmarterFaster ok
