"The Spy Who Shagged Me" is a play on the Bond movie title, "The Spy Who Loved Me".
Mini Me is meant to be a clone of Dr Evil, so he was meant to be exactly the same as Dr Evil, but someone left out the self raising flour. He is not a child.
Basil Exposition - the word Exposition, means to explain or reveal/expose something. In movies, exposition is when someone has a bunch of lines to make sure the audience knows what is going on - So Basil is basically "that" guy in the movie.
Austins first car was a Jaguar E-type, a very famous and sought after car, so the name "Shaguar" on the car is a play on the Jaguar name.
Not sure if you realise, Dr Evil, Austin Powers and Fat Bastard are all played by Mike Myers.

In the first movie it was 1997 when Dr. Evil killed Mustafa. In this movie it’s 1969 when he see him, 28 years earlier
Unless they can bring Mustafa back dr evil could bring him back from that time machine from 1969 bringing him back to life or going back to 1997 and stopping the killing Mustafa either one would be great in the next Austin Powers movie but on Austin side since what they found out on Austin Powers 3
24:44, The malfunctioning chair wasn't part of the script. The chair really was malfunctioning, and Myers just stayed in character and went along with. They decided to just leave it in the movie for fun.

Mike Myers walking around naked was his wife's idea for the movie. She told the producer that he always walks around naked at the house.

In the James bond 007 movies from the 70s and 80s, the female villains were named sexual names..Pussy Galore was a main villain name...Octo Pussy was another big name lol... that's why all the female villains in these movies are named like they are. So funny. Great reaction. Thank you. 😊

4:21, They filmed Mike Myers being lowered into the pool, and they played the footage backwards. In fact, if you look closely, you'll notice that the water streams are moving backwards into the sprayers.

For me this ones my fav. Then 3 then 1. Beginning of will ferrals carrer, mini me, fat bastard and growing up carrie fisher was the prettiest girl I've seen besides kelly bundy.

I really didn’t like this movie, on account of the stupid retcon of having Vanessa turn out to be a fembot. I really hated that!
They only did that because Liz Hurley was busy filming another movie and was only available for one day.

@@OptmiusPrime114 Let’s look at it this way: by the logic of this retcon, here’s what I can deduct. Frau Farbissina created Fembots for Dr. Evil, so it’s likely she made one of Vanessa Kensington as a sort of prototype. Mrs. Kensington was then sprayed with amnesia gas to make Mrs. Kensington believe the fembot is her daughter. Venessa passed all the tests in the Spy Headquarters, and was then partnered with Austin on the mission. The Fembot was told that she would be a backup plan if Dr. Evil’s plan failed; so her instructions was to crush Austin’s spirit as a consensual sexfriend and marry Austin Powers when he agrees to be a one-woman man. During their honeymoon, Mrs. Kensington finally woke up from her Amnesia, and realized she never had a daughter. She told Basil Exposition about the whole thing, while Austin figured out Venessa was a trap.
Basically, since Austin realized his marriage was a sham, he doesn’t have to feel sorry for it, because he was being put down when that robot came to his life. He is no longer feeling guilty about it, because that person doesn’t exist. He will, however, still treat women with respect, regardless of this fact.
I know this is a lot to unpack, especially when James Bond had his fair share of short-lived marriages; but frankly, I should be glad the Austin Powers movies ended on a woman he can finally be with, after his marriage with Venessa literally bombed, while Felicity was dating his Time Clone.
