  • Hi everyone, in this video I share how I built my Tusken Raider Canyon Attack diorama for my Star Wars The Black Series 6" figures. The diorama is made out of pink foam, carved with a hot wire cutter, and painted with acrylic craft paint.
This was my second diorama display piece that I built a few years ago, after doing the Jabba palace setup. It took me a lot of trial and error to get the paint right, but the end result came out awesome! I hope it inspires you to try something similar :)
Thanks everyone for the support on the channel. If you have any questions about the diorama or how I did something, please ask away in the comments. I'm very happy to share tips and techniques that I've learned in this fun hobby of Star Wars collecting and customizing!
Please check out my channel for more of my Star Wars collection and how you can make awesome dioramas for displaying your collection!

Mine aswell .. I didn't get one until the archive came out ..impressive action figure. Your coloring on the rocks looked great ..I've just started building dioramas myself ..do you make your own washes ?

Yes I just mix up the colors by hand using basic acrylic craft paint and water it down. Ive only used more expensive paints like Citadel when doing custom figures.

Someday you should do a Bob Ross style diorama painting video, where you explain "there is nothing wrong with having a foam rock as a friend" and explain how, "you have to really walk the halls of these star destroyers or frozen wastelands, or arid planets to really get the right feel of how to apply the painter's putty" and "there are no such thing as mistakes, just happy accidents."

How did you make those fine irregular cracks in the foam??? Looks real. Awesome job!!

Thanks Gary! I’m pretty sure the little cracks were made by hand rolling the rock into the foam surface. Believe me, I’m as impressed as you are LOL.
