  • @MFEGoingDeep seeing this develop from having the initial idea to what it has become today and the potential for the future has far surpassed my expectations and then some! The outpouring of support from family and friends, old as well as new, has been humbling and so encouraging. Looking through the footage to try and pick from for this highlight video and compiling it together it really dawned on me just how fortunate I am to not only have such a beautiful place to call home but to be able to explore it in such a unique way and be able to share those experiences with everyone. It has certainly given me a new perspective on a lot of different things. A whole new appreciation for our environment especially below the surface of the water and that whole other world down there. Was able to see some brand new places, revisit some old ones, learned alot of new things and discovered alot of history I wasnt aware of and have barely scratched the surface. Thank you so much for coming along with me on my journey so far and looking forward to having you join me for more adventures going deep in Maine in 2024 and beyond!
If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet I would greatly appreciate your support and as always thanks for watching! 👍🐟

Do you know the artist Larry Tople who painted for InFisherman? His work is unreal with the way he portrayed the diffusion of light and how it effects imagery under water. Then I saw one of the Lindners underwater videos and saw the exact scene Larry had painted of smallmouths. Tople was using photography like the ones you film for reference. If you made some prints a good gallery like decoys and wildlife gallery in Frenchtown NJ might just sell some of your work. The thumbnail shot for instance is killer. In fact they even had a Tople original oil painting on board for sale there. Lots of prints by famous wildlife artists, all the big names. Very nice store and they have an online presence.

Yes I know what you’re talking about! I appreciate the info and definitely hope to incorporate something like that as I get more established. I have a TON of images and clips still to process and being able to take out a lot of that green hue now to have more true colors should only help I think!

@@MFEGoingDeep In photoshop there are filters that do just that. I don't know anything about video editing software but I am sure it is the same. Electronic images are RGB (red, green, blue) - composed of actual light - called additive because 100% of all three makes white light. Spectral. When you print something the images are usually made from CMYK ink (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) called subtractive because you get white by using no colors. Printed. You can take away or add those components percentally to alter your image, like less green. With technology as it is you can print from RGB images without even converting them.

i really enjoy your underwater videos you go to the exact places i would LOVE to go the base of Kineo and the pools below dams and narrows where fish will stack up. Does it seem the bottoms of these lakes and ponds are void of much plant growth? at what depth does it go from green plants to sand? Is i t partly cause of the cold seasons? TY again

Thanks! Glad you like the videos. I’ve had places that I’ve always wanted to check out down below and I have new location ideas pop up now all the time plus ones people suggest which is cool too! Sometimes it’s hard to pick a place to go with so many to choose from! When it gets down past 10 or so feet is usually when plant life dwindles off and becomes mostly silty or rock. I think it has a lot to do with lack of sunlight penetrating down than anything. Even in the middle of summer in the deeper water it’s close to 40 degrees so even between seasons conditions in that zone don’t change too much just stay dark and cold all the time.
