Tom can you talk about your thought process on scheduling concrete. How far in advance. How it influences your job order and prep. Importance of relationship with the plant. And maybe tips for those of us that are diy peeps that don’t order every day and therefore don’t have the same level of relationship with the plant. I’ve watched you long enough that I’m getting brave enough to give some projects a try. Thanks for your effort to put this content out for us! Also, what brand of sealer do you use…jk.
Give the concrete dispatcher as much notice as you can I can’t imagine juggling 15 to 30 mixers in every different direction if you’re trying to project for the first time do yourself a favor start out small good luck talk to you soon
Hi Tom. Great watching the boys work with you. I'm a retired plumber. When I used to do work on the side. I would tell some of the older folks in liew of cash, I work for food. The pies and cookies were so good. My family and I would occasionally be invited to the church potluck , or cookout. Good times. Ed from Chicago 🙂
I just love how this business is so family oriented and how you love to get the grandkids learning how this business works and teaching them a good life experience.... that’s one kickass grandpa.!!🤘😎🤘
Great to see there are still people like you that take the time to be with their grand children and teaching them the business. Great video and beautiful work.
The greatest component in teaching young people comes when they are confident they can do it by themselves. Confidence is everything, never tell anyone they aren’t capable it can be crushing with long term effects. That’s why you always hear kids say I can do it by myself. Bravo for passing these skills on to the next generation and the patience you demonstrate, they will remember these moments for a lifetime.
I love seeing you working with your young helpers. And that's a great technique to teach kids how to use tools, with the adult and child both holding the tool until the kid is able to use it independently.
Come to Tennessee and do some work on my driveway! Would love to have a driveway and pathway and ramp, all in concrete! I'm a widow and on disability. Love your work ! Looks great !!!!
Nice job. Great to have the grand kids with you. They'll remember this much longer that you can imagine. Greetings from the Old Jarhead in WNC. Semper Fi
I can certainly see why you guys stay so busy. Your team's attention to detail is at the forefront of each job. If you ever decide to relocate to Florida, I wouldn't hesitate to give you my concrete work.
What I wouldn't give to have a conversation with you. Just bought a new home and would love a new patio. Im just a little far away. I love your helpers. Family comes first!!
Nice job Tom. Great finish on the concrete. Will that be a sitting wall on the footer? Teach the next generation so they can help their dad's. Stay safe.
It's that paying attention to the little things, like power washing the driveway and turnaround that sets you apart from other contractors. A lot of them would have left the drive dirty. Keep up the good work.
GOOD MORNING 🌞 EVERYONE!! Gorgeous morning here in Virginia Beach…sadly it’ll be up in the 80’s later on. Very cool 😎 video Catch yinz on the next video Have a Day
TOM, owners idea for the layout? I KNOW the cut lines were your idea to parallel them with the railing!!! .... Mr. ATD (attention to detail). Nice job,and ANOTHER design pattern for the portfolio !
I am critical of most concrete work, and perhaps of this job. I HATE water moving from dirt areas to concrete. I want all my concrete 4" or more above the dirt so I can hose it off. Aside from a gentle dirt slope up to a pad/patio I will take a tripping hazard over a flow of dirt on my crete.
here we go again.... Tom and his Associates prove that their job is more than just pouring Concrete. They are Construction workers, Engineers, mathematicians, etc. The old Greek mathematician is smiling. Archimedes that is. Using the Diameter times PI gives the Circumference of a circle. Fun video to watch! Thanks Tom and Steve. Can't wait until the Question and Answer Live Stream!! Be sure to have your Toy Trucks on the Table... the Cement Mixer Truck, etc.. and a few GI Joe dolls with Hard Hats .. lol ... See ya then !
I definitely enjoy your channel, personalities and and detailed content. If I may make a respectful suggestion. The video is quite out of focus on most of the distance shots. Kinda hard to see the precision that you and your team are striving for. I admire your style and the calm interaction with the team.

The kids take working with Grandpa seriously. They’re good listeners and learners! Picking up new skills is very smart!

Tom, you are about the ONLY concrete guy, that I have ever met, that would line up the fire ring lines with the deck railing!!
Thanks Dave

Awe, It is awesome to see your grandkids working with you. Creating new memories and future working buddies.
I admire the boss/owner of a company that WORKS along side of his crew, and will do what they do, taking on the same duties!
Way to go Tom!

It’s nice to see your grandsons learning a valuable trade no matter what they decide will be there vocation after high school!! Good Times Together!!

Good stuff Tom! You call 'em ribbons, I'd call 'em spokes. To each his or her own. No wrong answer.
G'day from Oz. I love the phrase "learning in progress." Think I'll put that quote on my office wall.
Nice

Nice work with the guys at the end!
You are a master of your trade! Well done.
Love the way it was done. The little helper’s make the day awesome.
just an idea to ponder, aiming the "Ribbons" with the cardinal lines (North,South,East & West) would have been neat
That would’ve been cool
You are a good grandpa!! Loved the helpers!!
Thanks
Finished with a smile, nice!
Thanks
nothing more fun than doing things with your grand kids, they won't ever forget. thanks tom
Thank you very much
Awesome job and they have a great teacher!!
Turned out real beautiful ! Hats off 👏 🙌 to all the guys 👦 well done as usual 👏 👍 😀

Work of art boys! Should put a centre pole for a sundial, roman numerals on the outer edge....masterpiece! Beaut G/kids mate.
Thanks

Really like the look of that firepit pad. interesting to see what he puts on for stone wall after. coloring really looks good.
Excellent video Hauss's
Thanks
Good morning all Yinzers.
Nice job 👍🏻
That is going to be on heck of a fire pit
Looking forward to seeing you build the wall around it
Have a day
I did not know what Yinzers meant so I looked it up. Very cool name for the Pitt area blue-collar workers. Learn something new every day.
@@tbuc2920 my fiancé is from there
That’s how this New England masshole learned it.
Wait to you figure out another Pittsburgh saying…
JAG OFF…😳😳🙄🙄🙄
Thanks
Good job grandpa and the kids.
Thanks

Will look great after the retaining wall is in. Nice easy day for the guys on a Friday.
Love the Irish music.
Love it, this is so awesome looking. Wonder how many years of experience Concrete work needs
We will train
Yer a good man, PAPS!!
Another bloody awesome effort
Almost like a sun dial ,great work.
I want to do similar pad but around a 33’ flagpole. Same flagpole as Outdoors with the Morgan’s.
Nice
Nice easy Friday after a busy week. Beautiful fire-pit.
Thanks
It looks great. I like your helpers.
Thanks
@@Concretewiththehauses Your welcome !. I think that you have a great crew ,and the new generation of crew.

Es bueno el trabajo excelente 👌
Wow thats looks nice
1 question is the fiberglass as strong as the metal once it's in the concrete
I have only been using for one year I can answer that better next year however it’s not new to the market
Would be interesting to make a design of a compass in between the lines, just a thought!
My thoughts exactly! 😁👨🚒
So at 16:29 I wonder what that employee is doing walking back there in the customer foliage lol
When you gotta go you gotta go
Early to Mid November!!?! Looking forward to it. I am gone the end of November.
Bellísimo trabajo felicidades 👊💯💪👏👌🏻
Did you guys ever do the live Q&A???
No, we keep talking about it hopefully soon
Good morning from Clemson, South Carolina 🐅
Good morning thanks for watching
Is that Carroll Construction from Ottumwa, Iowa?
Carroll supply I know they have several stores across the country
I am critical of most concrete work, and perhaps of this job. I HATE water moving from dirt areas to concrete. I want all my concrete 4" or more above the dirt so I can hose it off. Aside from a gentle dirt slope up to a pad/patio I will take a tripping hazard over a flow of dirt on my crete.
Very cool 👍💪
That is good looking concrete; what mix are you using?
1B stamp
How about "spokes" for the ribbons ? As long as it's a round .
I don’t know I think ribbons are catching on
Tom could you have sprayed the fire pit itself with color?
Yes but it probably would not have shown up very well
Awesome Grandpa.
Thanks
Be sure to post a reminder for us

Was that Tommy running the buggy?
Beautiful😳👍👌 i want u to do my patio at my place here in Norway🙈👌🍻
I’d love to thanks
at first glance, the completed firepit resembled, a gun emplacement from France's WW2 Maginot line bunkers
Your kids should buy you a drone for Christmas.
You train them early Tom
I think it would have looked better with an octagon instead of a circle even if you are building a wall around it.
love the channel guys,,,,,,,,,,,,, but cut a piece of scrap next time 6feet save alot of tape measures

Sorry still perfecting my camera skills
OMG!! dammit, I WANT A DONUT now!! that looked Delicious!! :)
Funny
I guess you could call them "spokes," but ribbons sounds better!
Here in IOWA the DNR (fish & game cops) still pays a bounty for COYOTES. proof of kill required (Ears) $1.00 each. making them the new Buccaneers
17:55 nice twirl!
I enjoyed the video
Thanks David
Hopefully both your sons can attend the Q&A
Yes I will try and get Emily there too
