Dimash is the best in the world. The song was composed by the Russian singer Vitas when he was 18. After Dimash performed it, he received a lawyer's letter from Vitas which fobid him singing any of Vitas's songs in any show. The reason is that Dimash sang the cover version of Vitas's Opera 2 in the show "Singer" without permission or authorization. We "Dears" think Vitas was just jealous because Dimash did more key changes and went higher than Vitas.

It's my most listened to performance from Dimash. I like his playfulness specifically in this one, since he always sings about such sad and harsh themes with his voice that hits like a house being dropped on you. Even the lyrics in Opera 2 do talk about loneliness and wistfulness, but everything regarding that gets put aside once he turns the heat on.

Here he was in a contest in China, with the song SOS he became known and caught the attention of Igor Krutoy (a very famous Russian composer who wrote songs for famous people like Lara Fabian for example) and made him an offer, Dimash quickly accepted Since he said that was his dream he admired Igor since he was a child. After 4 years in China he returned to Russia and now it is where he works most of the time since 2018. I hope you will react to the songs that Igor has composed for him, in China Dimash sang many songs in Mandarin although he does not know the language much, but now he sings in Russian and Kazakh, which are his two mother tongues. It's from "I am singer" show. Well established artists compete against each other in a respectful and friendly way. Dimash was the youngest, the only foreigner and a wild horse. He started several new friendships from this show.

After he managed through that flirtation to make all the women in the audience fall in love with him, starting with the Chinese singers backstage, what was remarkable was that after he had standing ovations he asked his father "Dad, did I sing well?" ! What a humble man !

Все эти люди, которые сидят в зрительном зале, имеют отношение к музыке и должны определить для себя лучшего певца и бросить талон с его именем в урну для сбора... Тот, кто получит меньше всего голосов, выбывает из конкурса...А ведь все эти певцы знамениты и любимы зрителями... А он был неизвестен в Китае и самый молодой на конкурсе( ему здесь 22 года)... И это всего 2 тур и надо расположить к себе зрителей... Как видите - ему это удалось...

The audience and the rest of the contestants knew the song from another famous singer from Russia ,Vitas and they were waiting to see what Dimash can do with it that is why they were so concentrated .....in the beginning

If you had continued the playing of this video you would have seen Dimash's father come onto the stage and a backstage conversation between the two afterwards which showed how humble Dimash is about his talent.

👉 In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after his first song (SOS) Dimash captured the hearts of millions of viewers overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to RUclips... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. They didn't really believe in him. But Dimash came, sang and stayed... for the next 3 years in China... but he only finished second in the competition because he's not Chinese (conditions have changed: The next year, Jessie J. won).
👉 This was the second song in the competition "The Singer 2017". This song belongs to the Russian vocal clown Vitas. The organizers of the competition asked Dimash to sing this "simple song”. However, they forgot to ask Vitas. The people who hold the rights sued Hunan TV... unfortunately too late. This is not from the show World's Best, which by the way most dimash dears will not watch because the show treated him so disrespectfully.
This is from a Chinese competition show called, at the time, in 2017, I Am A Singer, later known as just Singer.
This song was originally sung by an artist named Vitas and surprisingly enough dimash did not put a weird spin on it because this is the way it was written with the exception that dimash went up three half steps more than Vitas did in the original.

This Chinese show is called Singer, and this is Singer 2017. Other great singers from that show: Hua Chenyu (Singer 2018 and 2020, Zhou Shen (2020), Tengri, KZ Tandigan (2018) and more. Jessi J won The Singer 2018.

I don't want to be petty, but this was in 4/4 time and therefore not a waltz.
I just subscribed because I want to follow your journey into BTS, but I love the idea of learning more about the world and music from other countries as well. I am a huge fan of the female soloist and Korean American, Ailee, who has an amazing medley session on Dingo's Killing Voice. She started off in the states as a you tube singer and went to Korea to become the powerhouse solo 'Queen'. She also does mad covers of 'Georgia on my Mind' and 'I Will Always Love You'. Also, I checked your videos and don't see anything from Paolo Nutini. Do you know of him?....Italian/Scot with a great raspy and unique sound. My favorites are live at Leon Loft of 'No Other Way' and also live 'Down in Mexico'. Even if you don't have time to do a reaction u video, I hope you will give them a listen and enjoy!! This wasn’t from a show called best voice in the world, it is from a show called I am singer which is held in China. Avoid any songs from the u.s. show called worlds best. They treated Dimash very badly and he withdrew when he got to the last three contestants even though there was a $1,000,000 prize. On this Chinese show, they really loved Dimash.

Hi, I think they already told you all about Dimash. Dimash is the best singer in the world, the best performer, and a great person. Not if you have reacted to other songs on this Chinese show, The Singer, please react to them. This original Vitas theme, unfortunately, can no longer sing it. Mr . Vitas forbade it, mmmmm.
