Rinse the seeds, soak in cool water for a few hours, drain and bake in 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. You can sprinkle with salt, or old bay seasoning powder while its wet when you first put on tray before baking. Yummy

Made this tonight. Delicious! 😋 I used mushrooms 🍄 instead of ground beef and minced garlic with yellow and red peppers 🫑 because I already had some chopped. I cooked butternut squash just how you said! Thank you living healthy 2022!😊

Nice recipe:) I change it up as I have access to lovely apple sausage and take it out of casing and fry up for this recipe. I also like smoked gouda for cheese in this recipe and sprinkle a bit of cinnamon into it before baking:) YUMMY/DELISH!!! I edit to say that I respond to a comment that I have also used up small amount of bbq pulled pork and a rinsed/drained can of black beans instead of the carrot & no cinnamon in this one. So many different ways to do this and so, so good.

Recently I was in a Farm and Home store across the IN/MI line north of South Bend. When I checked out with a variety tools, clothes and 22LR ammo I had to present my DL.
There was a device next to the register that she put my DL in and in less than a second MI had a copy of my IN DL. The clerk was very sweet and she apologized. She said MI requires her to run the State ID for ammo, firearms, archery and other "dangerous" merchandise.
I paid with 3 $100 bills and she had another device that verified the bills were not counterfeit. On the bottom of my receipt there was a note, "Transaction completed with large denomination bills" and the next line down had my DL #.
A gun store in Mishawaka runs a DL check for ammo take sure the customer is not a felon.
    NOT HAPPY!!
