The actor who played Rizo is not martial artist but a kpop singer named Rain. He trained for this role in few months and did most of the stunts on his own.
I was born and raised in germany berlin and when i was in elementary School, one of the kids told us he was in a Hollywood movie. Nobody belived him, but one day this movie aired on public TV and everybody saw him. You can see him on 1:24 the second on the right side. He is the only reason, i still remember this movie after 13 years. I know for many americans, it's maybe nothing special, but i remember how happy the people in my school were.
I liked this movie when I was a kid , like I dont know 10 - 15 years ago. but I didn't know the name so I searched the net, the movie shops and such but find it. now randomly I see a movie recap. a decade too late unfortunately

Ozunu saw Raizo as the potential heir and new leader when he passes from old age. Along side considering finding an successor is the most difficult. The ninjas did have extreme and strict training the same as that of an spy or uncover agent/secret service. It's kinda like the Jinyiwei, Chinese Imperial Assassins/guards. The reason why they have the two name is because they served two different purposes, they are like the police force and secret service. They can even be sent to do assassination orders and or arrest people. They serve a high purpose in politics aswell. These are movies involving the Jinyiwei. Most films more or less have decent plots. It’s just the execution that often fails the entire storyline/plot. I’ve noticed that, while watching these videos. It’s shocking how many times I’d watched movies and hated them and thought the entire plot was garbage then watched one of these recap videos on the film and thought “this sounds like it could’ve been such a good film”. It’s insane how this guy can change my opinions so drastically about plot concepts, for movies I watched and thought were pure utter garbage.
This is one of the first movies I remember watching with my brother when I was about 6 or 8 or something, I remember my brother, who was 3 years older, trying to warn me serval times not to watch the movie with him since it’s extremely gory, I watched it with him anyways and I have to say that it was extremely scary at the time and I did not understand like 90% of what was happening since I hadn’t learned English yet, this is one of the first movies I can remember watching and it was an extremely special moment for me and I am so incredibly glad and thankful that you covered this movie since it’s one if the earliest memories that I have of me and my brother spending time together. Once again thank you so much.
Raizo/Rain's custom weapon is a modified rope dart replaced with a blade edge...a weapon in Chinese martial arts/weaponry; shéng biāo/绳镖 & called a Jōhyō in Japanese
@@timotron100 the host of the channel is saying it is a kyoketsu-shoge. However a shoge also has a straight blade coming out the top of the sickle. This is actually a modified gussari-gama (or Kama). However on a Kama the sickle blade comes off the handle at a 90 degree angle.
You might not have known this but this kinda similar how the ninja turtles first started out. There first Comic book appearances they frequently killed their opponents and were literally raised to kill the Shredder.

i forgot about this movie. i remember watching this religiously as a kid. it was my dads favourite movie, so it became mine. i always specifically remembered the scene with the girls decapitated head in the washer. i now wanna watch this for nostalgic reasons, and to see if its as good as i remember it being.

This was a great movie and a great job explaining it. I would probably never have seen this or most of these Korean movies on these movie recap channels. So as long as you keep up the great work you will have a loyal viewer in me
I really wish a sequel was made. I think a decent premis could be he does become the new master of the clan, starting anew, more ethical less brutal in training, its members include a few survivors and not aubducted children but volunteers and those with great potential are sought out and recruited. A small clan starting from scratch and trying new things. But some of the other 8 clans come to kill him for betraying and murduring his mentor who turned out to be one of the 9 councel ninja clan masters. Maybe other well known real life ninja clans and fictional ninja clans in pop culture could be mentioned. A decent premis for a 3rd movie could be he goes to war with the most powerful clan and master above the others.
I love the fact that when the police force and the ninjas fought, the uniforms and guns the police used are actually accurate, since they are in Germany, love that sense of detail

Mystery Recap can you please recap a movie called "Zombi Kampung Pisang". It's a comedy story about zombie in a village. I guarantee you it's a good story with a good jokes. The zombies can communicate with each other to plan a raid on human and uses tools to hunt them.
