It's much closer than the public realizes. There are a number of separate fields progressing independently, like artificial limbs, AI personality development, companion bots, and sex dolls that merely need to be integrated.

There is even artificial muscles that are developed by "Clone Robotics" and they showcase their latest robotic arm and it's so damn natural and realistic with its motion that it's scary..imagine how real these robots would get in the future when all of these different techs would be combined..yeah, it's gonna be really incredible and lifelike and might very well replace women that are considered as "hard to get" or those that always reject males, I know that I would buy one of these robot women to be my wife/girlfriend in the future, once it comes out and released.

When your baseline is nothing, your robot doesn't have to be all that "realistic", it could just be soft, pleasurable and pleasant to talk to and it'd be better than most or all of your options already.
lets say hypothetically there is some realistic sex robot that look, feels and behaves like the ideal woman. Why does it matter if its not flesh and blood? It won't want your money, it wont age. Why would I not want that? When you drive a car do you care that its not a horse? When you turn on the lights do you care its not the sun?

Wow! Peterson seems quite removed from the current dating/relationship market and it might do him good to talk with some guys currently familiar with the current market. They went pretty hard on men, but conversed like women didn't really have anything to do with the current market. They did drop some info at the end concerning women which was more fact based info which was mostly related to OF, but short term desire for a beautiful woman translating to long term desire is more like most of the time not sometimes.

I believe that Ai or robots will replace women for about 25 or 30 percent of otherwise eligible men.
There was always a very solid 12 to 15 percent of men who lack either social skils, an unacceptable appearance or a general disposition that is just not acceptable to the aggregate female gender. These guys have jobs and at least some level of economic independence., but, they wouldn't be successful in any environment where mating could occur.
Women should accept that fact. They don't want this subgroup. And this subgroup doesn't really have much appeal whatsoever.
The subgroup of men that society should be concerned about is the men that have observed the situation and decided to opt out of marriage and family life because the odds are intentionally tilted toward their ruin if the relationship goes bad.
I doubt that the government will have any desire to make changes to the laws, because the government is one of the greatest recipients of the spoils of relationships.
I think the combined inertia of culture and technology along with the complete lack of faith that government can act in any meaningful way that doesn't increase it's own power and influence.

The only solution would be to go back to enforced monogamy. Otherwise I don't see how you could convince men to not be all over this. Men are over-tensioned to the max to compete for women. If you offer a hint of an alternative they'll snap to it like an elastic band when released.

If over time this were to evolve into something like Tony Stark's AI personal assistant, managing a schedule that includes work and personal development, that would be of real value.

As males have evolved to service female needs, a virtual girlfriend is going to have to have needs if she's to be convincing and/or gratifying to interact with long term. So finding things for the customer to do for the virtual girlfriend is one of the early challenges to solve. Having "her" take pleasure in the customer's adherence to a fitness plan or 12-step program kills multiple birds with one stone.
