Absolutely ! I own a tele. And while I have not (yet) modified the bridge pickup. As I'm still playing with amps, pedals and presets with in modulating software. You can easily drop in a 1/4, 1/2 or humbucker mod and your there. We're all chasing tone !~
John 5's Tele is like a Les Paul. It has two humbuckers. So it is no ordinary tele. Perhaps a coincidence that the great Mick Mars used a Kramer Telecaster for metal? Take a listen to Kickstart My Heart, Dr. Feelgood, Wild Side, etc. ruclips.net/video/4Hihge6FFVw/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I play punk rock music and use a standard telecaster. I love the sound of it.

Fender works for everything with the right humbucker or hot single coil. It does not matter as much as youd think its how well you play that matters.

He’s playing through humbuckers on a telecaster then through a huge amp. The Tele helps of coarse but those humbuckers play tjr biggest part
Because he is wack.
