Hi there! As someone who has followed this story since before it went public, I can state with confidence that he did not take the animatronic. He did remove the clothes, as well as various other items from WDW, however he did not take the figure itself.

Nope, he had the real ones. Spares do exist, however the clothes he stole and subsequently sold were the last set that the figure had been given.
