Just an Average Golfer giving unbiased opinions on all things golf, product tests, Golf travel vlogs and golf news!
Fantastic change of pace to the usual golf youtube standard. Feel like I'm watching a telly show from the 90s or early 00's, great stuff.
Andy D this week. Some pictures you two!!!
And what an incredible golf course.
Thank you Takomo!!!
Hi Andy, great to see you returning to what I think you do so well.
Great imagery and content and your always honest and enthusiastic voice over.
Keep up the great work.
I struggle with depression. This new content gives me hope and joy watching you play. I look forward to your release every week. The change, at least for me, is the right decision. It's calming and serine. Thank you so much for sharing what you do.
It’s absolutely stunning in the summer!!!
A really wondrous setting, and the accommodations weren't too shabby either. Living the good life, and more power to you. The photos from the two of you were, once again, exceptional, but I'm leaning heavily in your favor on several shots. The older courses are spectacular, primarily because of great lay-outs, bunkering, and challenges verses rewards, but for me it's the landscaping with mature tree and plant growth that line the fairways, along with elevation changes that I never tire of seeing.
The audio and visuals were stunning here Andy!!
Another top class video!! Quality of the production is superb and I love the format. Long may you enjoy the pursuit of your passion.
Beautiful course, and you definitely did it justice. Loving the direction you've taken the channel And.
Another stunning golf course!!! Thank you for taking us along!! Photo for is is Tracy D.
Wow what a golf course. Many Thanks for making a great video and bringing some sunshine at this time of year. Photo of the week........All of them !
I'm afraid for the first time since the photo comp started I actually can't narrow it down, some stunning photos. This place looks amazing and the content is top class 👏
Andy D photo for me this week. Great composition with flag between the two trunks and the grazing shadows going across the image. superb looking course. Next to links, my favourite type of course. another lovely video Andy. Congrats to you and Tracy
always beautiful content mate. i had to point out as it resonated so much with myself when filming in the wind. 3:30 where your camera was taken out by the wind. The things others never see. love it mate, keep going (though you dont need me to tell that )
Great spot and to be honest I hadn’t spotted it, fortunately it stayed up just long enough to capture the ball landing!!! It also shows just how strong that wind actually was
@@TheAverageGolfer mate filming In the wind is a killer more than people know so I for one can appreciate the content from a different angle 👏👏
Another amazing video from you, so engaging and entertaining. I had the pleasure of staying in Pennyhill Park some years ago (work related) what a venue. I'm surprised you hadn't experienced Surrey heathland golf until now. It's a wonderful experience I was privileged to play Walton Heath Old twice in 2023 as part of a committee exchange with my club in Tralee. The entire experience was unforgettable, not just the magnificent heathland course but the old world clubhouse charm and the sense of history.
Keep up the great work with your wonderful videos.
The first part 3 is enough to frighten anyone!!!
You open golf vistas that we all love, even if we won’t visit all of them. Thank you for sharing.
What beautiful course. I love the framing on the Tracey E photo. This was the best set of photos going. Well done to you both.
With winter green fees being £155 a round and a handicap requirement of 20 or less, The Berkshire is hardly a course for ‘average’ golfers…….
Time to take stock and reevaluate where you’re going😂
Someone’s got to do it, it may as well be Andy
Huh? 😊Average handicap is 14 for men. So 20 cutoff is generous - you're a lousy player above 20 and shouldn't waste your time on good courses. £155 is good value for such a quality course.
The quality of your vlogs is second to none Andy. Sorry mate, Tracy A.
@@ArthurDentZaphodBeeba quick search shows the average male handicap in the UK is 17.1
Now that is how the other half live, the course and hotel looked spectacular. Happy to join you if you ever need a buddy. 😊
Just sublime........you've made a miracle with your channel.
Really enjoying your new format. Such a nice break from the "usual click bait" on RUclips. Will be following along your journey over the winter months here in Canada. Glad to see you haven't switched from the Mezz 1. Can't wait to use mine this year.
Thanks for telling us where you were geographically and giving us better details on the course. Good job👏
Once again you and Tracey have done Berkshire proud with your wonderful play and beautiful cinematography. I echo all of these wonderful comments from your subscribers. From the panoramic coastlines to the inland beauty of this magnificent track, you bring to all of us a first-hand look of the diverse vistas of playing golf in the United Kingdom. For many of us, thousands of miles away, me included, will probably never have the opportunity to play there, you are giving us a front row seat. I predicted you would shoot even par on your par 3 challenge. How can you go wrong with Takomo clubs in hand. Well, it looks like you are on a streak, I am picking andy d as the photo winner this week. That is two in a row from me Andy. Until next week. God's speed to you and Tracey.
Tracy d lovely course - wonderful golf shots as well !
Looks amazing and a worthy review! Nice to see the courses getting the kudos they deserve. Always looking for new places to play, so thanks for posting Andy
Great round of golf ... for par 3's at least. Which Tacomo irons are you playing? Thanks again for the beautiful images.
I couldn’t choose between the photos. The course wins. Thanks for these videos.
Great course, excellent photography all round. Well done. Enjoy.
Another absolutely great course. Love what Takomo has done getting into making woods. Andy A favorite, Tracy E a close second.
Andy D, this week. Course looked amazing as did the hotel. The Takomo’s seem to suit your game, and I’m glad the Mezz is back in the bag, but I can’t help but feel you’ve drifted off your original brief of off the beaten track, roughing it in the camper van!
Well done lad! Thank you. 🎯
Excellent course and quality of golf played, especially the short game, well done this week. Andy, you are a great advert for Takomo Golf. Andy A for me this week.
Andy A for the photo
Glad your back to the old style vids. Had stopped watching for a good while and loving the new content
Hi Andy. Should have had more faith in you - I went for 13 thinking an Average Golfer would stuff up at least one tee shot - and then you pull off a brilliant sand save! All the pics are great this week (they are every week to be fair) but I like the way the colours pop on Tracy C this week. Keep up the great content guys - loving this format!
Wow what a treat that’s a real Royal experience!
Unreal golf conditions for january...not exactly what we have here in Quebec! This place looks amazing. Best picture is Andy a)
Andy, that is a beautiful course, it reminds me of mountain courses here it California.
Well played Andy 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 the food , wow .
Good to see you stil in you lab putter🇩🇰🏌🏿♂️⛳️🤞
Great video mate! Suggestion without being rude, because the videos are great... Could you bump the audio up on the voice overs, it's considerably quieter than the live mic audio. But if I turn it up it's too loud during the live audio clips. Cheers!
Great content again Andy: keep up the good work. Andy A & Tracy E are my favourites.
Another beautiful course and accommodations look wonderful. I cannot pick just one photo... Andy A and Tracy D are both winners for me.
Andy ! Just a beautiful place ! And a great video as usual. Going +2 lol
Andy c, captures the beautiful heathland, 2 great courses, quite expensive but certainly worth playing. Another great video mate 👏
Looks amazing. Just booked Goswick after watching your video. Hopefully it’s a bit warmer when I play it!
What a golf course that looks. Lucky boy
Imagine the comments if the likes of RS, PF or a YT creator from the states put this sort of material out there! This is so visually pleasing to watch!
I was going to guess 13, And. But 12 is better 👏. Like last week, AndyA gets the win, but this time in a tie with TracyE.
I've seen the Birkshire in other YT content and it is a gorgeous course, but your videography made it really stand out. Congrats to Tracy (again).
Those Takomos seem to be working well for you. I'd love to hear if you chose the specific clubs/shafts, or if Takomo chose/fit them for you, and the reasons. BTW, nice little draw on your drive @10:20.
Andy the production gets better and better every week. The shot angles, the landscape views, even the music score is awesome. Well done. You have been wasting your talent reviewing golf clubs!!! Who knew!?!?😂
The condition of this beautiful course looks absolutely amazing for this time of the year! My homecourse now has been closed for weeks due to heavy rain, frost and now thaw! Arrrg!🙈 Photo Andy A this time
Andy C.Beautiful course and January golf is a bonus
Andy B is my favourite today! Very nice course with a "special atmosphere" love it, reminds me Fontainebleau.
Best 36 holes in the country....we had this as a regular society venue for years...... always thought it was better than Walton heath......but like many of these great courses the prices have gone through the roof.....and we also got too old to play 36 in a day...so unfortunately it was pulled from our rotar...
The other course I would recommend would be Hanley common.....same kind of golf
Sunningdale England best 36 hole complex.... BTW where's Hanley Common😂
@@golfingCitizen sorry should have read what I wrote...but I'm sure you know....Hankley
As for sunningdale I guess it's subjective and that's your view....I expect most would say Walton is better than Berkshire as well but for me I prefer the Berkshire any day.....played most of the great courses and our society has played every open venue in the UK...and for me the Berkshire is my number one....happy place
Of course its objective... but you had put the Berkshire up as the best... its good but IMHO and the opinion of all the ratings Sunningdale trumps it everytime
@@golfingCitizen and your point is?....or are you just the kind of person that like to argue
Royal Dornoch is in the top 10 in the world in a lot of rankings...I play it most years....I wouldn't put it in my top 10 in the UK...
I believe golf course ratings are just subjective...what one likes another doesn't ....some love links ...some hate it....and also because most normal golfers won't get to play most of the courses on the list......
But you are right ...I'm wrong ....sunningdale is better
The course looked stunning
Great pics! Andy "b" for the win!
Andy, I had a hard time picking between Andy A, B and C! I'll go with Andy-A though. I REALLY enjoyed all the video work in this one. What an excellent course! Keep up the videos Andy, we're out there watching! 👍⛳
Great that And, what a course ⛳️🏌♂️👍
Andy C this week! Beautiful course, makes me want to do a UK golf tour.
Played both courses, complete golfing heaven.
Andy a on the photo's fir me.
Doff of the cap. Great showcase of a fantastic club.
Loving this style of video.
Andy C
Random side note what brand is that brown top you are wearing looks super comfy for a golf swing.
Tracy D fantastic shot on a superb course despite the costs😊
Andy D for me! GREAT winter golf visual.
What a beautiful course. Every golfer needs to step onto a “next level” course now and again. Helps to put your game into perspective.
Andy B, this video. But Tracy E almost stole it.
Tracy A for me all day long. back to this format is a change for the better beautiful views, music and a wonderful narrative once people find this channel they won't ever leave it.
Andy, regards photos Tracy B, What a course that looks bearing in mind where we are in the year it looks in great condition.
If you need to be 20 H cap to play that rules me out sadly, but so does £155 a round. Although course condition you could argue it’s money well spent. As someone else has said that’s way more than an average price but everyone is entitled to treat themselves once in a while.
Always looking forward to your next video, Andy! Andy C for best pic this week.
The Berkshire is so good, Red pips Blue but a great 36 hole venue.
What glorious weather you were blessed with...Beautiful sunshine and a course in superb condition. Then to recharge the batteries in that magnificent hotel...Wow! Tracy must think she's married to 007! 😂
Andy A or D for the win. Somewhat envious of you finding playable courses. Where I live it's 10 below today.
Reminds me of US Masters at Augusta!
Amazing day out for January. Beats flogging around in the mud in North East England. Tough choice this week but Tracey E takes it.
Great video. Pretty place. Favorite photo. Andy A
Fabulous golf club. World famous for its carvery.
Now that’s my type of golf club.
You should of driven another mile and half and played Sunningdale Heath - now that really is a hidden gem like a shorter Sunningdale Old 😊
Sorry Andy, Tracy e for me this week. Loving the channel, it really is just that something different 👍
Andy A for me this time! What a cracking trip
Andy great job!
ANDY B this time around. The colours there are fabulous, very pretty course Andy! 😊
Great video Andy picture E🏌♂️👍🏻
What a beautiful course Tracy b
andy a. Course looks to be in great shape! Another great vid!
Photo Andy A Course looks fantastic Great vid Andy
Hi Andy. Another awesome video. May i surgest that you make a map to show us the trip your on, for us who live abroard. Me in Denmark
That is something we discussed today for next weeks video 👍
Andy b or c for the win! What a course.
Lovely photos by both of you. Maybe Tracy A just wins for me, but getting harder to choose between you now.
Hello Andy, great video as always. I choose andy a as my favourite picture.
Andy d. PS the name of the club is a big clue as to which county it’s in. 😉
Tracy C.... way too expensive for me to play there.... glad I'm up north....
Hi! See that you use the Takomo clubs. Any thoughts on model 101T and 201CB?
I have a mix of the two in play and will have a full review posted shortly, great irons
@@TheAverageGolfer if you had to choose between 101t or 201CB, which set? Now I play with Cobra Pro CB Forged.
For photos I go Andy 4 Tracy 1, but all great framing.
Thanks again Andy for another episode of Monday Magnificence ! 👌🏼
Love The Berkshire! Andy C for me this week
Takomo and you are a classy matchup!
Tracy b. Great content!
Class course.. spoilt down here ( Northerners who relocated) pricy tho...Memeber at Blackmoor which is class too....+4 for the 3's
Blackmoor is quality....had trouble with green a couple of years ago so we dropped it from our rotor .....is it back to it's best?...we generally choose between Blackmoor and Stoneham
@@robinc3307 greens are even better now they are bent grass... bunker prog will be finished soon too
@@golfingCitizen great news....will give it a try in the spring
Tracy d is the photo of the week for me. Andy a is a really nice one too.
North of £600 quid I would guess for 1 round 1 night. As nice as it is, it’s not one for me.
Andy, we never seem to find out who won the photograph competition from the previous week?
