I find it interesting that I just finished watching some of the Good Good golf tournament and the click on this video and the content could not be more different. I really enjoy the change of pace with incredible views, relaxing music and great commentary. RUclips golf has something for everyone and you fill a much needed change of pace. Just wanted to say the production of your videos are fantastic and this one especially as North Berwick is one of favourites courses. I remember sheltering behind one of the walls with hail going sideways.....2 minutes later sunshine. Thats why playing golf in Scotland is so special

Very atmospheric video. The music introducing viewers into the hypnotic views of the links as it ebbs into the Firth of Forth. The dulcet tones of your voice give it a homely feeling that draws you into the history and beauty of the North Berwick scenery. I also have to give credit to some great videoing. So, all in all, a wonderful snap shot of your life on the links. Keep it going.

I remember a year or so ago when you talked about making some changes that I made an RSVP comment to you, to "think outside the box" and (just) find another (i.e. different) way..... Another great video Andy. I’m a member of Musselburgh Golf Club and all the great East Lothian courses are right on my doorstep. It’s so easy for me to take them for granted which is not the way to be. This was a wonderful video and your love for the course and the area in general shines through. As for The Marine Hotel, the refurbishment by Marine & Lawn is outstanding and captures everything that is so special about the hotel. They have done the same at The Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle, County Down where I have stayed many times. In closing, well done Andy; it was a pleasure to watch this video.

A privilege to play .. I-was lucky to play here in many opens and team matches, and no mater the occasion, the course won… Every time .. The members and staff always made us welcome and one of the reasons it is truly a magnificent links..

I have throughly enjoyed your channel over the years. What you did,do, best was test equipment. “The Average Golfer” was an ideal feast of honest opinion of the golfing equipment that was of interest to me, and many others. I believe you have drifted off this path. It is my loss, but I wish you much success on any new venture you partake.
Great course. My grandfather who hailed from the town was an assistant professional for Ben Sayers Jnr at North Berwick back in the mist of times. I try to visit several times a year.
Played this course a good few years ago, we got 4 seasons weather in the time it took to play one round, wind, rain, hail, but over the last 4 or 5 holes the wind dropped and the sky cleared, the low sun highlighting the humps and hollows of each fairway. The view down the 18th hole was magical. Great course.

This is another stunning video Andy. You’ve really captured just what a special place it is. Me and a group of friends went to Berwick last year to watch the Scottish open. We a lot of time walking around the town and alongside the West Links. The whole place was amazing. We didn’t get chance to play the West Links but we walked a few holes and it looks incredible. We did play The Glen though up the road and that had a stunning stretch of holes on the back 9. Only issue with the West Links is getting on. It’s already fully booked for 2024.

Another beautifully made vlog. There is something about the yellow light of winter on green turf and long, grazing, low shadows that elevate the terrain of golf courses like North Berwick to a level that brings disbelief. Another one for my bucket list - you're going to have to stop this Andy - you'll be costing me a fortune. Your photo D for me this week because of the shadows in the humps and bumps of the fairway.

I'm lucky enough to call this my home course and was out playing here in the wind this morning. There's no other place I'd rather play - there are plenty of tougher courses out there - North Berwick is very fair and not particularly long, but if you have played your best or worst round ever, you'll still come away with a smile on your face. If you are playing poorly - just stop and enjoy the scenery along the way. This is a great video and captures the essence of the course. Well done!

@@TheAverageGolfer I use a golf Sim software called GSPro, after watching this I searched for North Berwick and it's there, a local must have built it. On the first Tee now as it's peeing down outside, I must make it up there for real after watching your vlog.
Played all over the world but this was my favourite trip ever and stayed in the marine too amazing course great hotel and the friendliest town and people, great episode

Spot On!!!! In Words & Imagery - I have played North Berwick on numerious occasions and this course is a real gem, ranked number 5 on the top courses in Scotland by Golf Digest, I would add it to your bucket list as it is a real test of golf and the vista are plentiful. This is one of the best non-Open links courses in Scotland great hidden treasurs, it flies under the radar becase their are so many others in the vacinity that upstage it due to their proximity, however is habitually listed as a favorite for those that make the pilgrimage to North Berwick GC.

Some of the drone foolish and the setting sun and long shadows revealed the contours especially in the greens.
This is what TV struggles to show so often on televised golf where you can’t see how tricky they are. As such Andy D wins, that’s links golf

My Dad took me onto the putting course in 1962 and I remember looking down on the ‘big course’ and telling my Dad I want to have a go on that next. I was only 7. Eventually started playing golf properly about 20 years ago. Still waiting to play the West links and the Glen. One Day…….
The back 9 are the best back 9 holes one will ever play . I’m very lucky to be able to play / visit every year . Will be back first week of April , can’t wait !

Played West Links at North Berwick for the first time this past year. For a yank who really loves links courses, this course became my favorite course in Scotland. We stayed at the Marine Hotel and it is spectacular in both accommodation and service.

Love this place. Great video. I was there three weeks ago and the third hole had suffered a hammering in the recent storms. The tee and beach side looked as if it was going to need some extra love and care to keep it out of the sea. Keep the film’s coming Tracey d

Andy another wonderful video the light and the atmosphere that is captured is wonderful, what a fantastic course. I have played a few Links courses in my time, I have played them in Ireland and two of the best in South Africa Humewood in Port Elizebeth and my all time favorite Milnerton in Cape Town with stunning views across to Table Mountain, with the City of Cape Town snuggled under it watchful gaze!!
Unfortunately I have never been lucky enough to play Scottish links golf but one day hopefully!!
