Your son adds so much to the video! So adorable lol. Good video! Always learn something from your videos. Thanks!
Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. The VW Diverter Valve is the best for the 1.8T. It's been proven time and time again. Ideally what you should have done is get rid of those VW quick disconnect pipes, they are the root cause of boost leaks on 1.9TDI's and 1.8T's. Even the new 2.0T's and 2.0TDI's, and replaced them with some high quality silicon boost pipes.
I would also HIGHLY recommend that you don't use rubber washers, those will deteriorate and cause the next owner a head ache later down the line, just find some crush washers and change em out.
Kaleb listen to this man! He knows what he's talking about! Those VW quick disconnects were the bane of my life.
no way the stock bosch DV is the best! LMAO. Said no VW/Audi owner ever. I specialize in the 1.8t and have never kept one on any of my cars. I am currently running a metal $11 ebay special with no problems!! no rubber diaphragm then no leaks!!
@@carlf8224 Oh of course it isn't, it's not like VAG spent literally millions developing a product in partnership with Bosch that could be universally used in their turbo cars, that would be obsurd, and a $11 eBay special from China would totally be better. 🤦 It's a well known fact the OE part is the best. I live in the UK, there are literally MILLIONS of VAG cars here with 1.8Ts. R-Tech here in the UK, a very reputable VAG tuner, and a specialist on 1.8T & 2.0T engines even says the latest stock DVs are the best.
@@BkSMedia slow down turbo it was a joke!! sorry i didnt type "LOL". go to the Pub order a beer and calm down!!
@@BkSMedia imma have to call bs on this now just bought a 170$ dv thats tons better than the oem one
Sweet work on resolving that boost issue. I'm glad you got it worked out!
I really love your channel, Love the car keep up the good work and get through the problems!
Keep doing what you are doing man *thumbs up* So close to 100k
Hey, Build, I love your work and i'm following you from the start of the Audi ❤️ I have a request...please set the camera to fixed focus, because it's really hard to watch while out of focus, it's like i'm watching thru my grandma glasses 👓
Thanks and keep up with the good content! 👍
Your channel is actual fire bro🔥 I literally didn’t know about this until now
In the Knick of time! Good job man finding that leak 🤘🏼
Great job man ! im curious what the milage is on this motor?
This video is the perfect representation of what its like to own a 1.8t 😂😂
Does this wagon have the headlight washers it looks like it does, I wish mine had them just cause they are nifty lol
hey i have the same exact issues please tell me if this is still working for you
Greattt job bro dam need help with my Audi A6 limp mode making mines go backwards when it warms up 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫
What are the wheel spec on the Dad Wagon
I love your car build
Way to go never give up🤗🤗✊🏽✊🏽✌🏽✌🏽
I have a trouble hooking up my n75 the right way with the different hoses and stuff, anybody got a diagram to show me?? Thanks
Thank you from Sudan
I remember all these pains from back when I owned a 2003 A4.
I got to hand it to you.. Your very persistent.. Can't wait to see the finished product..
Your definitely gonna have to change those rubber washers out for metal ones due to heat. Heat will deteriorate them fairly fast.
Loop your n75 and run a Mbc between your turbo and your wastegate
Before watching im guessing the forge bypass valve is venting too much air throwing off the maf readings so the car is throwing itself in limp mode. I may be wrong but I had that issue when I had a bov before relocating the maf after it and tuning for it. If you have a good tuner they can tune around that forge bypass valve and compensate for the loss of metered air during throttle lifts. Another thing is some cars will hit limp mode after putting a cold air intake on because it creates a resonance that effects the maf sensor.
lol how do you relocate the MAF after the DV/Blow off/bypass valve? A recirculating valve needs to be plumbed after the MAF to have a correct reading and plumbed before would be a blow off valve with the out let by the intake like as in blowing to atmosphere and then sucking that air into the intake!! It tuned out if anything!!
Lmao! "It wiillll" 🤣😂🤣 your son is hilarious
What air intake do you use? I have a b5 1.8t that im trying to upgrade and the stock intake is just way to small.
Actually the B5 intake box plenum and pipes are all very efficient except the turbo intake pipe its self. Up to about 350HP is what the stock box is good for. If anything get a better filter and keep it because besides sound and looks you wont gain anything from it.
@@carlf8224 good to know thanks for the info bud

I would recommend you to look more closely on this ,,voting" stuff. One person (I'd assume) is somehow cheating.
Maybe by using Tor Browser and changing IP they're able to vote several times via the same PC/Laptop.
Just saying - in the comments section uder the video where you showed all the competetors most of people are cheering for one person Katlyn (the wife entering for her husband).
And, she was in the lead (she was leading by a big amount/percentage) since day one. Now? Her votes have almost stopped (which is understable, there are 4-5k votes and 6-7k views on the video). But the person I'm talking about? Is getting like 10 votes per 10 minutes as is for right now.
I'm NOT saying someone is cheating. I'm just saying that it is possible - just by using different IP adress of your machine. Which is both - pathedic, and wrong.
Cheers, from Poland.
The 1.8t wont work right with the Blow off style DV because the MAF is getting mixed signals. cap that blow off side off or better yet get a recirculating one with no third hole and you wont have any issues. You will even keep the blow off sound!!
Side note your vacuum needs to be 20-22 not 15-18. you have another issue
Unplugging the battery for ten mins will clear codes in the ecu too get it out of limp mode
or save time and unplug pos and neg and touch the two leads together. 1-2 mins
god your attitude with all this is amazing !! lol i literally dealing with the same shit you are but am losing my fucking cool throwing shit
9:58 🤣😂🤣😂
Just use some copper washer.
exactly!!
Audi life! Lol, I'd trade you situations, if you havent seen my ig page.. I just switched jobs for a great step in my career.. I will be back to fixing my car once my checks start rolling back in, got all the parts just need to have my heads machined and finish pulling the motor. 👍 wish I would have entered to win 🤦🏻♂️
Nice, but this is a dry turbo leak, without any ECU restriction, so this is not Limp Mode at all. Limp Mode opens the waste-gate, and doesn't let you build any turbo-pressure, and more importantly, doesn't let you try to build a pressure again, and again, like you did.
So I'm confused the whole reason it wasn't throwing up the boost is cuz that sensor was unplugged... And if I would have heard n75 one more time I wish of the shotgun in my mouth... Man.......
419 likes dont worry ill change that
That’s not limp mode, those are just boost leaks
