  • The addition of a bleed screw on a clutch master cylinder can make the job pretty simple. We've bled this same truck with less than 4 oz of DOT 3 Brake Fluid but adding a bleed screw makes it even easier. No special tools or pedal pumping required. Introduced with early 2017 production of our master cylinder for the Ford F-150 1997-2008 4.2L, 4.6L and 5.4L and the F-250 1997-1999 4.6L and 1999 5.4L.

How does the hydraulic line disconnect from the master cylinder? Also, to remove the master from the firewall it says to turn it 45deg clockwise then pull out. How much force is needed? Do I use a wrench? This is on a Ford f150 1997 2wd 5 spd.

Is there anyways to get a replacement clip? My line started leaking and the clip went flying into the transmission when I went to replace it. And I can’t find the clips anywhere. There as to be replacements. My slave cylinder is only a few months old

didn't work, pedal goes to floor and fit is terrible-- bleeder points DIRECTLY at brake booster, can't get a box end wrench on it. gonna try again... -- ok figured out we had to open the bleeder, push the clutch pedal all the way to the floor, then close the bleeder, then release the clutch pedal -- 4 times to get the air out, then worked like a champ !!! Almost rounded off the bleeder screw it was installed so tight.
