I had a hell of a time bleeding my clutch via the valve in the slave cylinder. Eventually, I “reverse bled” using a bottle full of fluid down at the slave and drew it back up to the reservoir with a hand-vacuum. 👍
How does this work if u have to disconnect the lines, after bleed, before install. I can’t keep slave connected to my hard line and feed it under hood and though to clutch housing?
I just put a splitter into reservoir, one connected to line, the other with bleeder. I learned it works on either end. I put mine near the reservoir, then just pump and open to bleed it, like a brake line, you can even use the hose, and fluid in container to bleed yourself.
This looks super simple. Would this work when the master/slave clutch cylinders still in the car? just open the master reservoir and pump the clutch a few times? (assuming you keep the master cylinder topped off). Seems too easy
The CMC can have air pockets inside, so having it on your bench enables you to tip it to get those all out. Way harder to do with the master cylinder in the car, unless your Hulk! @@JeepSolid
Hey jeepsolid I have a problem with a hydrolic system on my 1991 jeep Cherokee I will have all the air bleed out and it's working fine but it slowly gets air from somewhere it doesn't loose any fluids you can bleed it again it's good for a day then you gotta do in again I don't know what to do can you help
Great videos. They have been very helpful to a novice like myself replacing the clutch on a 2002 TJ. I am at the end of my project and am ready to bench bleed the clutch and install the master and slave cylinder. One problem: I inadvertently broke the retaining clip on the slave cylinder. Any ideas where I can get a new clip? Or is there a workaround? Thanks for the great videos.
Hello and thank you for this beautiful youtube channel for us Jeepiste de France. I have a question: I would like to put ethanol in my 1993 jeep wrangler 2.5 multipoint what modifications should I make? thank you very much Jerome
@@JeepSolid Hello, Thank you for your reply. In France, ethanol costs 2 times less than unleaded. The 2.5 mutlipoint can run on 50% ethanol + 50% unleaded but I would like to be able to run at 100%. ECU reprogramming "eprom" possible? to make the engine more reliable.
Hi, excellent any part numbers of that XL clutch master/slave assembly love the stainless steel line. where can l find to purchase? can search by part numbers
Wow, easy peasy. Thanks for sharing the knowledge!

This really helped me out! thank you
That is awesome, thank you guys for sharing this
Thanks Dale for the info. I use this technique on mine. I just converted my slave clutch from internal to exterior system on my’90 YJ.
Very cool. Love this method. Nice conversion. Internal can be a pain
i thought about converting too, how did u do it any tips?
@@mrdoubleu3951 I looked up Advance Adapters website. They have a conversion kit for it.

You're welcome! Always learning myself 👍🏽
Can this be down with the slave and master already installed?
Thanks, the Crown cylinder doesn't have a bleeder valve. Didn't realize it wasn't pre bleed so I did it on the YJ with the help of my gal.
thaNKS DALE GREAT JOB
The size of the line make sure it is all going straight up no dips

I know, right! Super easy. I don't see why it wouldn't work when in the vehicle
Did it work ?
Im so glad I found this video I was struggling

I does work when in the car, just unbolt slave cylinder from the box and pumped it carefuly against the gearbox. 😊
would that method be actually the same as when it is hooked up by pumping the clutch pedal without using the bleeder valve at the slave cylinder?
THANX

Hey my slave busted and got some brake fluid in the bellhousing, will this mess up anything?
It shouldn't as long as it doesn't get on the clutch

Holy snikies Batman! That's awesome. Doing the regular bleed with the valve on the slave cylinder sucks.
Yeah. This worked awesome!
Everyone does easy .I ll pay to see you do a 2001 pt cruser .o n the car 😂
I spent like 4 hours trying to bleed my clutch only to find out my master cylinder was toast. Replaced it and it took 1 minute. 🤦♂️
Ugh, yeah. Sometimes it takes a while to identify the issue
Need the electric for. Cluh
