    Very informative.
    I was wondering why I should upgrade the water trough. Since you demonstrated that the height of the trough could be changed to help control the amount of water on the wheel, I now understand and will buy one.
    Also I had wondered why I need to add 18 degrees to my scale reading. Since you showed this in action, I now understand better why you made this improvement.
    Also enjoyed the still-shots with the red dotted lines showing the intended possibilities of how to make repairs. Nice work.

      Hi Dave, thank you for your kind words, we're glad you found it informative! Note that the adjustable water trough is only available for the Tormek T-8. If you have an older model, this feature is unfortunately not available. Here is a live episode that describes all upgrades possible for the different machines: ruclips.net/video/2JOWFdEGCFY/видео.html

    Question : Getting my van converted to do mobile sharpening, I like the racking behind you holding all the stones, can you give me details on the rods holding them, and possible locking nuts to hold in place whilst in motion ?

      Hej, the shaft has a diameter of 12 mm.
      Well the shafts are left threaded, you may just use a normal thread and some more ergonomic nuts.

    Could you say more about the different scales on the gauge. I have an old one from about 2010. Thank you.

    • @TormekSharpening
      @TormekSharpening  2 года назад

      Hej Brain, we added the second scale above the excising scale due the fact of the compensation of the radius of the stone compared to the flat surface on the outside of the sharpening wheel, its a difference of 18 degrees. We added it when we introduced the MB-100 Multibar which allows to sharpen flat grinds on the outside of our different diamond wheels.
      I hope I could answer your question. /Wolfgang

    This class format worked well as an overview to explain the strategy for the repair of a number of types of knife damage. I would like to see at least how one of the repairs was done start to finish. That would include techniques for drawing the new shape, how grinding the new shape is done, and how the new bevel is set. Thanks -

      Thank you Dudley! Doing a repair live might take a bit too much time for the format we have in these live classes, but we'll definitely take this feedback. We have a similar video to what you are asking for from before: ruclips.net/video/bv1ApResgCQ/видео.html
      Hope this is relevant to you. Stay sharp! :D

    Seeing is believing. Those Global knives seem quite brittle.

      It's the angle they use on global knife and the hard Steel they are a little more sensitive but really good knives for the price.
