Hi Lisa - these recipes look delicious! I agree with you that food you can prepare ahead of time is the best for entertaining and makes for a more relaxing time with your guests. What an inspiration you are. I love how you bring so much joy and beauty into every aspect of your home and family. I'm so happy I found your channel & I have been binge watching your videos these past few days. PS : I had to stop video in the first minute and order that cookbook 😄.
Thank you for your kindness, and I greatly appreciate your openness and sharing. You have a gift of words! As we’re getting ready to film today, you’re reminding me of my “why” 💝😍 Have a blessed day!
Those shrimp and corm fritters look delicious! I thought you were going to add the mixture to a cornbread batter, then deep fry. I have made them that way. But this looked very easy and yummy! At 72 I am too impatient to weigh things , so just go by feel and taste and approximates. The chicken also looked tasty. A tip I do to save time and clean up is... I always have a stack of deep dish Dixie paper plates for dredging !! Easy Peezy!
Dixie plates for dredging is so smart Liane! I’m going to do that 👍🏼, thanks for the hot tip! Funny - I weigh things for the exact same reason rather than getting out all the measuring cups. The reason I’m crazy about Ottolenghi is that he cooks with the freshest ingredients - very vegetable 🥦 🥕forward - and makes everything so tasty. I love eating for our tastebuds as well as for our health. When I met my husband he told me he didn’t like salad, vegetables or fish, now he can’t get enough! It’s all in the preparation. I’ve come to believe Ottolenghi is the Einstein of cooking 😆! These videos don’t get the same attention, but I can’t help myself - I love sharing things that make life better and healthier that don’t add complication because life is complicated enough! Xo
DeAnna, the seed and crumb mixture might work amazingly with firm tofu, but he also suggests it being fabulous with butternut squash. The crunch/flavor factor is out of this world! 🩷
Hi Lisa love your home and way of cooking. Your food always is awesome. Can you share where I can find those skinny measuring spoons and that cook book. Thanks!
You are so right - good catch. I’ll post them on the video soon - with measurements. Much appreciated. For now I will just say it’s cumin, coriander, smoked paprika and red pepper flakes in order.
Thank you! The prepared food looks delicious!
It was! 😋

Hi Barbara!
You added 4 seasonings or spices to the fritters but never mentioned what they were.

I just made them! I used garlic, cayenne, herb de Provence,
They were yummy! Thank you.
Innovative! What a great combo! Thanks for sharing. 😋
