Prince could play almost every musical instrument but he could shred a guitar like no one else. I would recommend the Superbowl halftime show he did in the pouring rain. It's about 15 to 20 minutes long but its well worth the watch.
The best artist ever!!!! My musical hero. I like lots of music, really diverse, but it all starts and ends with him. Also the first real concert I saw....Prince in 1988, Lovesexy tour. A whole shelf of albums, all the regular stuff, bootlegs....and the re-issue boxes of the last years in a different spot as some are huge! I remember driving in the car with my dad, I was 14 and a song played on the radio and I just had to know who the artist was, so at a stoplight, I still know exactly where I asked to turn the radio up hoping the dj said his name and yes, he did, Prince......song was 'When doves cry'.....week later I bought the album, again my dad with me saying to the seller 'It used to be me buying good music'....he really liked the Purple rain song, even my mother did while otherwise (pop) music didn't interest her. I also saw the movie back then. Fan for life. In total I saw him 3 times....the greatest!!! When he died my mother even mentioned it....hey have you heard? I returned from that first concert back in Amsterdam, coming from Rotterdam. Then I still had a one hour bus drive to go home as I lived a bit outside of Amsterdam with my parents. Only 1 problem, last bus was gone. Ah well, young me was like I'll walk (lol 🤣).....at Leidseplein (maybe 2 kilometer if even that I saw the foolishness of that and turned to a taxi. Guy said sure hop in.....but sir I only have one problem, I don't have money (two t-shirts and tourbook in hand, I spent all 🤣) but I know where my dad's wallet is. No problem said the awesone cabbie and off we went. He asked where I was.....he loved Prince too, nice talk on the way home. There I took my dad's wallet (my parents were sleeping already) and paid the man 100 Dutch guilders.....quite a bit 🤣. Next day I told my folks and they were glad how I solved this instead of wandering the streets of Amsterdam....somehow they were always a bit unfriendly to the big city. Now I was (am) a 6ft6 really big guy....but then still a kid and you're always mother's little son 🤣. I didn't have to pay the taxi fare back even......what a great experience! Prince....greatest artist ever in my book!!!
Anything from the "Sign 'O The Times" film is peak Prince and well worth watching, "Forever In My Life", "I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man", "U Got The Look", "It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night", "Housequake", "Play In The Sunshine", all legendary, magical, fun songs.
I don't think Clapton actually said that. It's one of those urban myths that started when Hendrix was asked the same question. However Clapton did actually think very highly of Prince.
Saw Prince 16 times in my hometown of London, England. He had a massive following here because we appreciate a master creative genius. React to Prince I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man - Sign O' The Times Concert Film.
He’s possibly the best musician in my lifetime. Multitalanted in so many instrument and a great singer aswell. Michael Jackson eat your heart out… Prince is the king..!!
Prince's live performances were epic. Check out his cover of "Motherless Child" and his performances of "Let's Go Crazy" and "Purple Rain" from the 1985 Syracuse concert. His acoustic performance of "Cream" is worth checking out as well.
Hi Kathy, Lulu, and Donna. You should check the movie "Purple Rain". Prince plays the main character. A few other songs by Prince are "1999", "When Doves Cry", "Little Red Corvette", and "Raspberry Beret". Have a Fun Labour Day Long Weekend, Keep on Rockin', and Party like it's "1999". 😎👋🏻🇨🇦
Awesome reaction! One of my favorite artists. He had so many amazing songs. Prince also designed his own clothes. He would sketch them out and local designers made his clothes for him. He has them at his home still on display at Paisley Park. He was definitely a talented and fascinating person. He will be missed.
This was a halftime show at the superbowl one year. As far as his musical prowess. He was part of the induction group for George Harrison for the Hall of Fame and he played the famous end solo to My Guitar Gently Weeps. I feel that's a must see.
Wow yall need to go down the PRINCE rabbit hole!!! You may not want to come out of the whole!! Prince is and always will be the G.O.A.T!!!! Most likely this isn't true. All his close people say he hadn't done drugs in years but he did start speaking out against the government right before his passing.
Loved this reaction. Momma you are spot on. He was always dressed to the nines. Prince could play 26 instruments. Self taught. His first 3 albums he played all the instruments and did all the vocals by himself. I love y'all's reactions and I'm subscribing. Please do Prince Play That Funky Music. in 1993, he changed his stage name to the unpronounceable symbol Logo. Hollow circle above downward arrow crossed with a curlicued horn-shaped symbol and then a short bar (known to fans as the "Love Symbol") and was often referred to as the artist formally known as he had the guitar and the symbol for the stage made in 1993 he went back to his original name prince
that was because of the record company on which he had a contract. He lost the rights of the name of Prince and when the contract was over he uses tbhe name Prince again
Please check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to George Harrison, with Prince, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn, and George Harrison's son Dhani, if you really want to see some guitar playing by Prince.
Prince was an incredible guitar player. You need to watch the all star tribute to George Harrison playing his song 'my guitar gently weeps along with Tom Petty, Jeff Lynn of ELO, Steve Winwood, MarcMannm, Steve Ferrone, Dhani Harrison (George Harrison's son) and the great Prince!!!
Fun story.. i worked for prince in 2012 and still live down the road from his place here in Minnesota. One thing ia foe sure I STILL MISS HIM EVERY DAY! 💜💜💜
What a lot of people didn't realize is that the opening lyrics of "never meant to cause you trouble" was referencing his relationship with his father, "baby I could never steal you" referencing the relationship he had with his girlfriend and "looking for a leader" referencing his band planning their separate ways.

I would watch the prince super bowl half time show 2007. The symbol guitar was Prince’s unpronounceable name he used when he was in a battle with WB music company (they threatened to sue Prince if he released music elsewhere under the name Prince). The actual symbol on the wall and guitar is officially “love symbol number 2”.
This is somewhat of a remix. I like it haven't seen this performance before. The official music video is much different and there is an extended live version from a show in Syracuse NY in 1985 that is excellent.

The purple symbol guitar was his NAME when he wanted out of his contract with Warner Brothers because they wouldn't sell him his own masters. This means that even though he had enough money to buy them, they refused to sell because it was good longterm investment. But Prince was offended that they would hold his music hostage and not let him out of his contract either, hence he wrote SLAVE on his face. The Symbol represented his NEW NAME, THE ARTIST also known as The Artist Formerly Known As Prince. After the number of years when his music would have belonged to Warner Brothers, he changed his name back to his birth name which was ACTUALLY Prince, since he was named after his father's band, the Prince Rogers Band. His father was the pianist and his mother was a singer.
Prince wore Heels & Make-up and could steal your woman ( Maybe because of his pretty hair 😉) . Crazy Great Talent . As good a guitar player as greats like Hendrix & SRV . A Suggestion , watch his movie "Purple Rain" which is semi auto biographical & has great music . Probably Prince's best known work .
If you want to see another good live performance of his, check out either his Hall of Fame induction performance or Superbowl halftime show. The symbol on the wall use to be his name when he was having issues with his record company at the time. It's called Love Sign.
This was a nice performance of this song but the best emotional performance of Purple Rain would be live in the American Music Awards in 1985, and the Prince and the Revolution live in Syracuse NY 1985 concert!!!
Prince for many was right at the top with Michael Jackson, but Prince could shred like Jimi Hendrix….He almost always did Purple Rain, and there are many versions online….each one is different…if you don’t like “this” version, the next one you watch/listen to will seem almost like a different song….

Prince got in trouble with prescripton medication because of chronic pain and accidently o'd. And he was smart enough to live a genius life for 40 years which not many people do ( live from their own genius ), so I don't think intelligence came into his death. He was in pain.

AND it's still up in the air if he wasnt slipped an overdose amount without his knowledge!
Hello ladies. I’d love to hear you react to a band called Slint. A style of their own that was dubbed “Math Rock”. Listen to the song “Good Morning Captain” and “Washer”.

When Doves Cry and Darling Nikki are my favorite Prince songs. Darling Nikki might be a bit x rated for Lulu, Kathy watch it first and you make the decision. But a great performance.

I do wish that Prince hadn't broken up with The Revolution, his first band. Prince And The Revolution were so good.

When Doves Cry and Darling Nikki are my favorite Prince songs. Darling Nikki might be a bit x rated for Lulu, Kathy watch it first and you make the decision. But a great performance.
We love your channel. Chad has been watching it every day. The places you travel to are amazing.
@@KathyLuluandDonna I am lucky to have a supportive family that sometimes travels with me. Also 2 years ago my granddaughter moved to Paris. Back in my youth I never thought any of this was possible.
And I in return, love watching the 3 of you react to music.
