Glad you're back and glad you're ok. I don't know if you've seen this version: If you have a quiet 16 minutes and want to see Prince play really loose and free...super long intro slowly builds to belting out raw emotion and absolutely ripping on his white sexy beast guitar...and one of the world's best mike drops. ruclips.net/video/bm03wqLY3Nc/видео.htmlsi=whAdWOxmdBNy9zkT My first girlfriend dragged me along to see him in 1985. Prince had more talent than any one person should be allowed to have. He played something like 27 instruments and wrote almost as many hits for other artists as he did for himself. I wish I could have seen him live!
I always knew Prince was a great singer and songwriter, but never thought he was up there with the likes of Clapton as a guitar player until I saw him do While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Totally changed my view. Dude can straight up play when he wants to. I heard he’s got like seventy albums worth of unreleased stuff at his home. Hopefully, they polish that stuff up and release it.
I was lucky to see him twice. His shows were the most entertaining, full of energy events I have ever experienced. You left happy, energetic, and full of life.

The day after Prince died, I took my family to see the movie at the Theatre. At the end of the movie (which was packed), the audience was all crying and singing that song. What a great experience that was to honor The Artist.
Back in the day my music collection was packed with Metallica, Pantera, Megadeth, Acid Bath, Ministry, Marilyn Manson... etc. and PRINCE. I knew a lot of people into heavy and thrash metal that had every Prince album. He was absolutely THE MAN. He had the respect of pretty much everyone in all genres.
I'm a total metal head and give all respect to Prince as a pure artist and musician and literary one of the best guitarist. Look up Prince while my guitar gently weeps. George Harrison song. Look at the gods on that stage and they let him do the guitar solo.
Prince was an absolute genius. He could make his guitar cry and make you cry in the process. He was the total package as a musician and entertainer. You haven't even scratched the surface of his musical genius. Thank you for making these videos. Your enjoyable to watch and a delight to listen to.
“Purple Rain” was recorded on August 3, 1983, during a benefit concert for the Minnesota Dance Theatre at Prince’s home base venue, the First Avenue nightclub in Minneapolis. That live recording was so good, it was used as the core of the track that appears on the record.
Prince is without doubt one of the most talened people to ever grace this planet. Iconic song by an iconic artist & one of those you'll never see the likes of again. Absolute legend. R.I.P. Prince
The first time I heard this song was on the radio and back then they actually played the whole song.. I was working as a truckdriver and I just had to make a stop and listen to this work of art. It was one of those moments when I felt something shift inside and I was changed. This man was a lightworker and will forever be remembered as an absolute legend. I cried when I heard of his departure.❤
Prince is a legend So many good songs. The first song I ever heard was "When Doves Cry" Which is an awesome song. My older sister had just bought a Prince cassette tape back in the early 80's
8:26 Hey, kids. Gen-X metalhead here. You need to watch the movie. You really fucking do. I haven't seen it in ages, and what I remember isn't a coherent story, but snapshot images of profoundly deep, touching moments. When he kisses Wendy on the cheek and you see her start crying as she turns away, it just breaks my heart. That kiss saying, "You were right. I'm sorry it took this long for me to admit it. Thank you for being patient with me. I love you." And he's gone. I lived in a world that Prince was in, and now he's gone, and I have such a hard time loving a world that has nothing but echoes of him in it anymore. Such a loss. So much loss. Kids, let an oldish guy tell you something it took him a lifetime to realize for himself: The only _real_ difference between the young and the old is how much the old have lost and now grieve.
One of the most iconic artists of all time. Still hard to believe hes been gone almost 7 years. I wish I could seen him live but always love listening to him. Great reaction and looking forward to more from him.
Prince will always be an underrated artist. Incredible performer and guitarist and half the hits of the 80’s were written by him. He played some and sold others to other artists who became famous from them. Amazing.
Great reaction. When he passed. Artist from many music genres (rock, rap, pop, country and metal) commented on what a great artist and performer he was.
The live American Music Awards version from 1985 is fantastic. I saw Prince live in Lakeland Florida in 1985. Amazing concert. One of the best I've ever been to.
On top of everything else, his incredible vocals, his performing style, his writing chops, his multi instrumental talent, he was one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He has a very deep and wide discography, even though he is gone he shared a lot of his gifts.
This is the most beautiful song I’ve honestly ever heard. The way Prince can bring out so much emotion from a guitar is incredible. I hate I was too young to see him live
The number of hits he wrote, not only for himself but for other artists is staggering! He still has music that hasn't been released yet. The talent of this man is incredible. Please listen to his other songs, Little Red Corvette, 1999 and Raspberry Beret just to name a few. Hits for other artists included Manic Monday, Stand Back and my favorite Jungle Love. He was truly gifted.
You mentioned "Stand Back" with Stevie Nicks. Prince originally submitted "Purple Rain" to be another Prince-written Stevie Nicks song, but she told him she wouldn't be able to do the song justice and Prince made this song the centerpiece to his movie instead.
That entire album is an amazing piece of musical talent. The guitar playing in this particular song is on another level. The guitar work after the lyrics is one of the best pieces of music I have heard, It was so powerful and conveyed the emotions that character in the movie was experiencing, The guitar sounded like it was crying and evoked sadness and angst,
You need to watch the Super Bowl halftime show he did. That was just simply breath taking. Great reaction! Everything Prince did is wonderful! RIP to one of the greatest!
One off the most geniuses music minds that walked ever on this planet… the best there was, there is and will be ever in terms of talent and musical insight 💖… You are dearly missed Prince 🫶🏾… I really hope you’re in a much better place now 💖…
Yes you have to see the movie for sure, i was lucky enough to see him once in concert and it's in my top 10 best concerts i've seen in my life and i've been to over a hundred concerts in my life. It was in 1993 on the Diamonds And Pearls Tour. Keep up your good work, you are fun and lovely, cheers from Montreal, Canada!!! 🤘😎🤘
Prince is one of the best GODDAMN guitarists since Hendrix. Honestly, the dude could put out nothing but instrumental albums and I would buy every single one.
Prince was, and still is, the embodiment of overwhelmingly iconic talent. He could do it all. Singing, playing countless instruments, writing songs. Plus he was one of the most entertaining artists this world has ever known. Pure legend. RIP
My ICON for life, so much talent. So amazing enjoy s9 much his music. Thank You Bisscute. I happy you reacted to Prince... be safe be well stay warm and humble and kind......❤️
The movie was released in 1984. I just finished my sophomore year in college but I’d been a Prince fan since he dropped his first album “For You” in 1978 so I was really into Prince’s music and listened to the Purple Rain soundtrack 100s of time. I fell in love with the song Purple Rain all over again recently because I heard something in the recording that I’d never heard before (even after listening to this record hundreds of times). It is a simple 2 note cello riff which starts at the crescendo of the song. Although simple as it is it added so much more passion to the recording (at least for me). So much detail, color, passion in one record. A masterpiece!!! Just thought I’d share.
I had A first row experience at Red Rocks watching Prince perform after AC/DC left the stage. AC DC was so new that most of the crowd never heard of them before. Prince came out with a telecaster around is back, high heel knee high boots and wearing only a leopard jockstrap. He Played every song from the only album he had a out at the time. It was a fantastic show and he played his guitar very well. The second time I saw Prince he played his guitar like a virtuoso and I was sure he sold his soul and wondered how someone gets that good in just a years time.
I wore this record out when it came out in 1984. I bought at my college bookstore and played it endlessly. Massively talented man who is dearly missed!
As a drummer, my idea of a great guitarist is someone who has the skills, but more importantly, knows how to play a solo to fit the song. Prince was a master at this.
Prince was a special talent and truly gifted man. This song and little red corvette are among a few of my all time favorite songs. His music will stand the test of time. Thanks for sharing with us!
When it comes to "purple", you have to make an exception and say it like a British person!! "Paaaahhpl" 😁 wonderful reaction as always my bisscuuuute 🤗
He played in a football stadion in the City in Hamburg. I live 20 km away from the location and could listened to the music at my terrasse. Great concert it was.
When Prince died a few years ago, it was amazing to see all the different artists from all different genres even attempting to cover Purple Rain to honor him. His music and artistry inspired so many from all different backgrounds. Beautiful covers done by so many famous singers and bands. ❤
YES!!! You definitely need to see the movie to understand everything going on in this video. Fantastic musician and one of the best guitarists ever! An interviewer once asked Eric Clapton what it felt like to be the best guitarist in the world? His response was “I don’t know, ask Prince.”
This is from the movy purple rain. Have a great memory with a girl playing this song on the radio. I believe in 1984, 85 💞. Thanks Biss for the flashback. Hugs from 🇮🇹🇧🇪
If you're interested, there are a number of tributes for Prince after he passed. A couple of note were Eric Clapton and David Gilmour doing "Purple Rain". Plus there's video of him doing this in a rain storm during a Super Bowl halftime show.
I will die on this hill, proudly. NO ONE can touch Prince's artistry and song writing ability. People can play the guitar. He made that guitar scream, moan, writhe in his hands. None of his guitars gently wept. He sent one to the heavens at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it never came down. The angels kept that one. Purple Rain, the soundtrack, is one of the best movie soundtracks. Front to back. From a Let's Go Crazy to Purple Rain. There is no weak song. If you don't move to "I Would Die 4 U" or "Baby I'm a Star", you lack a joy in your soul. Prince is musicianship on an elite level. All he needed was a stool, his heeled boots and an acoustic guitar to captivate an entire audience.
After Prince's death, Eric Clapton and Bruce Springsteen each sang "Purple Rain" during their shows in tribute to Prince. Start from the very beginning with his first top-ten hit "I Wanna Be Your Lover". Then move to "Little Red Corvette", "1999", and "Delirious". The cherry on top of the sundae will be his biggest hit from the "Purple Rain" soundtrack, "When Doves Cry"! There are many more hits after that.
What's up Bizzy Bisscute..this is legendary. Prince to me is the greatest all around musician that ever lived. He's one of the best guitar players all time and did that as a side thing, he has a performance with Tom Petty and a few others honoring George Harrison from the Beatles. Called "While my guitar gently weeps". Very good performance
This was huge back in 1984. I remember many junior high school dances being wound down with this one as the last (slow) dance. I never danced with anyone (no one was interested, lol), but I enjoyed the music and hanging with friends (the few I had) or even just "flying solo" (being a loner and a wallflower, haha) all the same. Other hits from the album/soundtrack are When Doves Cry, and Let's Go Crazy (very rockin - find the extended 7½ minute version if you can). Both highly recommended.
This is from the movie Purple Rain which is why the silence at the beginning. I got a chance to see him in Mpls live at First Ave years and years ago before he was a household name. I got a chance to meet him years later when I worked for a towing company in Eden Prairie ,MN where His big studio Paisely Park was located. Immense talent he is missed. RIP
My Dad is a Prince fanatic and he was devastatingly torn apart when he passed away. They were covering his music all day on CNN the day he died. Truly the mozart of our time
When, not if, when you watch the movie, be sure to have tissues near by. Highly charged and emotional movie that does a great job of showing his talent. Nice reaction.
If you're ready to turn it up now... 💜KISS (this will make you smile!) 💜When Doves Cry Prince was so talented - he played 27 instruments. He oozed sexy androgny. At one point, he chose to remove his name and instead go by either a symbol (you can look up the symbol) or 'The Artist Formerly Known As Prince'. It was simplified to "The Artist". Although he did this for bigger reasons, at its core, this really was the perfect name for him. He truly was THE ARTIST.
It's at least 28 instruments, because he is very prominently shown playing harmonica in "Thieves In The Temple" and if you do check it out, check out the Extended Version of the video, because it is SO much better than the shorter edit.
I remember when this came out and the movie too. The movie wasn't great but it was still enjoyable. The soundtrack saved it in a big way. You might enjoy doing a reaction to it. If possible. I haven't seen anyone else do one. I don't know why though
This is actually an insert from the movie of the same name Prince is the most amazing personality ever, one of the most talented ever, one of the most mysterious ever...🎶🎶🎶
You could literally listen to anything by prince and it will be amazing. He’s unlike anyone else. Listen to Electric intercourse live 1983. Not great footage but one of his best performances!!
The first piece of music I ever bought was the 45 of Little Red Corvette. The Beautiful Ones is my favorite Prince song but there is so much you could choose from.
Thank you for watching the video, It means a lot to me .

TOO INGENIOUS PRINCE,TOO INGENIOUS,THIS ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE IS AMONG THE GREATEST SONGS OF ALL TIME 👏👌❤️
The man could play the guitar with the best of them and keep them on their toes. He was definitely up there!!!!
YES!!! You definitely need to see the movie to understand everything going on in this video. Fantastic musician and one of the best guitarists ever! An interviewer once asked Eric Clapton what it felt like to be the best guitarist in the world? His response was “I don’t know, ask Prince.”
you really rock this old mans heart love that you listen to me but he has so much more to hear peace and love to you my friend 🥺and this in the movie
one of the best artists and guitar players bar none. Move is very cool.
Prince & the Princess💜⭐
A beautiful anthem of Love, and longing for Love. Prince's best song.
Prince is my goat , bro could do everything. Literally
Yes Prine had an amazing and Unique voice! And he from interview he can play All instruments or learn it if never playing said instruments
Prince has so.many songs that he put out you need to start with party like its 1999 and the whole album was great
This is from the movy purple rain. Have a great memory with a girl playing this song on the radio. I believe in 1984, 85 💞. Thanks Biss for the flashback. Hugs from 🇮🇹🇧🇪
The Pride of Minnesota were i live The Best At Every Instrument 🙌 ❤ I miss 😢 Him
You MUST see this film. Amazing.
"Purple Rain"
Biss, you need to see the movie NOW !!!!!!!!
Best Song ever created .
Hell yeah it is!!
Very good performance
i have about 12 sealed copies of Purple Rain! it is just how great he was to me!
You should check out "Let's Go Crazy", if you want to see this dude shred the stage dancing in high heels.
I see his Purple Majesty has drawn you into Paisley Universe. 🟣☔🟣☔...🟣☔🟣☔...🟣☔
RIP
He was an amazing musician as well as singer
My Dad is a Prince fanatic and he was devastatingly torn apart when he passed away. They were covering his music all day on CNN the day he died. Truly the mozart of our time
When, not if, when you watch the movie, be sure to have tissues near by. Highly charged and emotional movie that does a great job of showing his talent. Nice reaction.
Prince halftime show at the superbowl . Is just something else...
If you're ready to turn it up now...
💜KISS (this will make you smile!)
💜When Doves Cry
Prince was so talented - he played 27 instruments.
My cousin did sound engineering on LoveSexy and the Batman soundtrack. The platinum albums on his wall are some of the coolest things I’ve ever seen!💜
@@ThePittsburghToddy That's AMAZING!
@@ThePittsburghToddy That is a hell of a resume your cousin has. I bet he was worked to death on those 2 soundtracks.
Prince songs that are a must ...When Doves Cry, Little Red Corvette, Raspberry Berette, 1999. and yes, the movies is a must see too
You could literally listen to anything by prince and it will be amazing. He’s unlike anyone else. Listen to Electric intercourse live 1983. Not great footage but one of his best performances!!
The first piece of music I ever bought was the 45 of Little Red Corvette. The Beautiful Ones is my favorite Prince song but there is so much you could choose from.
I would love to hear you say “ Peter piper picked a purple pepper “ lol your accent is awesome
