    Armored core 6 goes hard, and so does the music. Speaking of which, this is the one I used on this short:
    Arknights Dossoles Holiday Event OST- Act 12 Side 01 (Battle theme 1)

      The cropos did not build any of the things shown, the dam was built by the rubiconians or the rubicon based company BAWS, the grid was built by the rubicon research institute or some other group before the fires of ibis and the orbital lasers were built by the PCA which is some kind of gigantic multi planet government.

    • @lol-ih4wy
      @lol-ih4wy 8 месяцев назад +1

      The only structures we know corporations built were "re-education" camps (Arquebus) and massive stratosphere reaching coral extractor (not totally built from the ground up, it was repaired. Also by Arquebus)

      To be fair, Arquebus and Balam end up beating the PCA with the help of their mercenaries. When the Ice Worm is destroyed, the PCA practically dissolves. Once Arquebus picks up the remnants of the PCA's tech this metaphor works a bit better.

    Given how expensive modern military equipment is, an how much AC parts cost in game, it’s safe to assume Credits are at least several hundred times more valuable than USD. And corporations are able to field entire squads of company ACs as well as MT backups, Tetrapods, and hired Mercs on a whim.

    • @elijahaitaok8624

    Spoilers for the ending of AC6
    Think of the size Xylem actually is compared to these normal doors and such, it's a colony ship which means you probably could only see it end to end from the main building stationed as the security system. If given the right amount of resources you have a mobile operations base that could straight up drop an army of AC's on your peaceful area because they found oil

It was so hard for me to wrap my head around the enormous buildings which could probably house millions of people and I'm just venturing through them all nillynally. There's even one guy on that level that is hiding, in an armor core, waiting to ambush someone. Yes, these places are so massive that a three-story robot can hide from you.

    Putting aside that the satellites are PCA, I feel like the point is not made enough that there are almost certainly few to no humans in any of those builds beyond essential roles. The building are built by and for autonomous robots that do humanity's bidding. And this also clarifies the kind of wealth society must have, because they're riding on the productive output of highly advanced AI.
    What's so remarkable then, is even in this world with super intelligent AI, humans are still just better for certain things. Case in point: operating an AC. This is not a subtle point in the game. The purpose of coral as a substance is to represent the idea that the capabilities of biological intelligence still far outstrip that of mechanical intelligence.

      Considering AC originally came before Soulsbourne, it's more like the Eldritch gods are more of a standin for their corporations (Just about every AC games' corps are this powerful). That is, unless you're referencing King's Field/similar. I don't know if their oldest games deal with Eldritch stuff.

    The orbital lasers are PCA which is closer to a government entity rather than a corporation. Also most of the structures shown existed before balam and arquebus came to Rubicon like the dam or the grid. The only thing in the game we see arquebus build is the massive coral extractor but even it wasn't fully built from the ground up.

  • @johngavin3180

    The orbital laser is PCA equipment. The PCA is a government organization that was so powerful that it got the corps, RLF, and RaD to team up.

    To me this games shows that it’s universe is on the tipping point of becoming man/machine hybrids (and not just because of the 3rd ending). Especially since everything is so massive. Do kids ride a bus to school or is there an MT that transports them now? If you wanna work construction do you HAVE to be in an industrial MT? Armored Core is one of those universes where I’m constantly thinking about what the average person’s life is like.

    • @starhammer5247
      @starhammer5247 9 месяцев назад +1

      The third ending doesn't really say anything about merging with machines. Coral is a data conduit as well as an energy source. It's easy to see Coral taking over abandoned ACs.

  • @naggie6358
    @naggie6358 9 месяцев назад

    This isn't an accurate interpretation because we never see an ARQUEBUS or Balam facility in the game. The Wall is a fortified RLF trading post, so it's basically just a settlement, the BAWS Arsenal is run by BAWS who is a relatively small arms manufacturing corporation, and most of the other facilities were made by the PCA (watch points and the orbital lasers) or by the RRI (institute city, vascular plant, probably the Xylem). Considering that the STRIDER was just a civilian mining platform originally, I think things in AC6 are just stylistically huge, not that ARQUEBUS or Balam things are uniquely big

  • @nareik8017
    @nareik8017 9 месяцев назад

    Making those massive structures wouldn't be that difficult actually. It's should mostly be down to automation and robots, the only human element would be telling the machines where to put it. Design is probably done by A.I as well, with a person just asking for a specific building within parameters and done. No need to even BE there. All this can be done from the safety of your home world

    • @sixthcairn
      @sixthcairn 8 месяцев назад

      The most impressive part isn't the scale of the structure but how FAST they can be built. At the end of the game, a faction was able to build a structure the size of a SMALL MOON, in the span of about a month.

  • @michal16a
    @michal16a 9 месяцев назад

    U are wrong in case of scale of corporations. On rubicon there are more than 2 corporations with military power. Dafeng is cooperating with Balam by supplying them with ACs and MTs, Schneider is using Arqebus to do their dirty work but often they are deploying their own forces. BAWS is just local corporation which makes fortune on suplying every side of conflict. The Balam and Arqebus are most present because PCA is doing their job and keeps Rubicon locked down so it is hard to place any forces on the planet.

    I know i’m late to this discussion but a thought that’s even more terrifying is that these megastructures weren’t built by the corporations but instead by scientists using aid from the planet’s inhabitants. This is nowhere near the full extent of what corporations could make using technology and their near limitless money. I’d love to see what some of the actual corporation terraformed worlds would look like
