- Years ago I made a video where I created a hypothetical Pokemon Evil Team named 'Team Buddy'. This video, though many years later, sees my 1950s inspired Evil Team return anew with big (and swell) plans for Alola. Originally this video was split up into 4 parts and didn't have a definitive end, but this upload is the entire saga collected into one video with new footage and a finished ending.

I finally finished it. After procrastinating for 7 months to watch this and all the waiting that came before I finished it. You don't know how much this series meant to me back in 2021 I was obsessed with it. I'm glad you made a conclusion to this epic story!
I gotta say, it’s great to see the ending to this story at long last. I would say that if Buddy goes anywhere, he should go to Hisui or your ancient Kalos region. It would be fun to see him hop from game to game until getting back to his friends.
As someone who's been following the series ever since it was first released it's really nice to finally see a conclusion to it all

And with this, the saga is complete.Or well, mostly lol. There's plenty of loose ends left (Skipped ahead a bit to see if anything was left unresolved). If you do plan on continuing this I will absolutely be here to watch it. And if you don't, I think is still a good way to end it. Regardless though, well done Buddy. This is an amazing accomplishment.
Speaking of, as this is rather long I'll be breaking up my watching of it to sections. I'll just keep editing this comment with new bits as I go along.
Hello Mr. Buddy!
I’ve been watching this series since the day I saw it. In fact, Team Buddy was one of the reasons why I became a fan of your channel and as an aspiring writer, your work has inspired me to emulate/explore similar concepts like Team Buddy in my own way. As such, I want to say how happy I am having seen this series completed. Having watched it from beginning to end, I’m very pleased with how this series went especially given the circumstances that you went through behind the scenes. The effort is admirable and Team Buddy itself was at its top form here. Seeing characters like Cynthia, Wicke, Lusamine, and Zossie Buddyized was horrifying yet alluring. So much so that I honestly don’t want them unbuddyized and got myself rooting for the villains here hehe. If possible I’d love to see an alternate world where Team Buddy won haha, but that’s just me. My favorite scene has to be the one with Buddyized Wicke and the Aether family calling out to Lillie via a message, it was presented well.
If I do have some criticisms, it’s that I feel some of the Buddyized characters felt heavily underutilized near the end. I feel like certain Buddyized characters could’ve been given more exploration or scenes. For instance, have a fight where the Player and Lillie team up to fight a Buddyized Gladion. Maybe have it be a double battle with Buddyized Kris to keep it as the Player helping the strike team members. I also feel that Wicke and Fennel could’ve been part of the Fashionable Four, with Cynthia as the “champion” at the end. I feel like it makes sense since Fennel would be Team Buddy’s head scientist and Wicke was in charge of the Care Path.
Other than that, I say you did a wonderful job despite the circumstances. Thank you for completing this wonderful video series and I wish you luck on your future projects.

We should’ve seen what buddyised waluigi had. I’m telling you, he wasn’t battled because he had an ultra necrozma, mega rayquaza and Eternamax eternatus.
I don't know why but I came up with a bunch of headcanons for this.
1. Even after getting freed from buddization, Cynthia still sometimes emits Lucid mist, but it usually comes out via Coughing or sneezing.
2. Lusamine still has her "Buddyized" outfit and wears it during formal events.
3. Gladion secretly has feelings for Cynthia.
4. Cynthia, Kukui, Cherry, and Lusamine became good friends after getting freed, having a group chat.
5. The Ultra Recon Squad Eventually found Mr. Buddy, and eventually returned him to Cherry.
6. Cynthia sometimes wears a beehive after the events of the game because she thinks it looks good on her.
7. Buddyized Cynthia sometimes has a very similar personality to Klara, she's a Tsudere to Baddy pretty much.
8. Lillie and Gladion eventually join the ultra recon squad to find their Mom.
I love seeing Alola content seeing what would happen in a theoretical Sun and Moon 2 is amazing especially when its so well done

This video was awesome, but there are two things that I’m a bit iffy on:
1. You said at the beginning that the region the trainer hailed from affected some important aspects of the game, but (unless I misunderstood something) the only thing it changed was a single wolf Pokémon at the very beginning of the game.
2. While the idea of recruiting other trainers for the final mission is a really cool idea, I feel like there should be some positive effects of them joining, ESPECIALLY with Hylda, but (again, unless I misunderstood something) they don’t really do anything except ask for your help.
Other than that this entire video was awesome, both in terms of concepts and quality.
When I was a boy.. I watched this and felt a connection to Lillie and wanted a continuation but now.
I'm the girl I need to be and I know why and I am happy to see this continuation

things that have happened in the wait for the conclusion of this series:
-converted to Christianity
-kicked a bunch of bad habits
-got fit
-got into college
-got a driver's license
-probably doubled or tripled the amount of friends I have
-asked a girl out for the first time (got rejected lmao)
-cleaned up my appearance
-a bunch of other stuff (nothing else is coming to me at the moment)
I don't know why I particularly care to make this comment. I guess that this series was my jam back in the early days of corona (worst time of my life btw) and, even if I never really thought of it actively, it has stuck with me. This series inspired me to make (terrible) Pokemon fanfiction, which led to serious improvements as a writer, now leading to today where writing is a big passion of mine and I consider myself quite good at it.
Normally people would end (or begin) this sort comment by dismissing themselves, saying that you'd never actually read this. If you're at all similar to me as a creative, especially when the amount of feedback on this video is much more managable with a smaller channel, I'd bet you read every comment. So thanks for caring enough to figuratively close this chapter of my life, I guess.

Why do I feel like this was a stealth prequel to Buddymon with how Greaser Buddy got yanked out of the Pokemon world into the Buddymon world?

After years where I thought the initial Pt. 4 video was the end of Team Buddy videos, it’s really heartwarming to have watched this 3+ hour compilation through to the end. I thought I remembered it pretty well, but I was reminded of a lot of details on this second watch, like how perfect a 50’s romantic-heavy jewelry store is for Olivia, or how unsettling, yet alluring the Player’s first meeting with B!Cynthia in Melemele is. With all of the extra art pieces, the postgame content suggestions, and knowing the *true* fate of Mr. Buddy that you wanted to express, I can say I’m proud of you for sticking through setbacks and making your vision a reality.
I’ll admit that I kinda share some of the concerns others have brought up, that the Fashionable Four felt a bit under-utilized for how much presence they had before (ESPECIALLY Cynthia), and the story post-Father Beast feels a bit… anticlimactic, with the return to the Pokémon League and an uncertainty hanging around the location of Mr. Buddy and Lusamine- it feels like there’s another story to be told here, but I don’t expect you to be going back to it with your Buddymon project in the works.
Still, the Team Buddy series has been a real treat to experience from beginning to end, and it’s helped me realize how much I love the 1950’s aesthetic- so much so that I ended up drawing several more Buddyized Pokémon variants and Buddyverse characters of my own. Thank you for all of the great memories this project helped inspire, and I’m wishing you the best of luck with your future endeavors!

When I watch this ending, part of me imagines the player character and Greaser Buddy looking out to where in the multiverse the other might be and singing "Danny Boy"... I dunno why. I just do...

I have very mixed feelings on the Buddyverse
I'm not saying you aren't allowed to want a pokemon game with your oc in it
however he's in the game so often it feels like suffocating. It reminds me alot of How Hop
didn't give you much breathing room to walk down a route without long dialogue, buddy is a cool guy
but I think Lille's odd fascination with him, the fact the player feels like a side character in their own story
And how there's two buddies makes it almost feel like the player doesn't exist half the time, so buddy can do something cool
The play temporarily loses agency so they can watch buddy to most of the action and character interactions. With all due respect of course.
Alola's my favorite, and if I saw this in stores and played it, I'd be disappointed in the lack of the old and new characters getting to do anything.
Ulani literally vanishes for most of the story, the valley girls are annoying and vanish from the end and don't get me started on the weird greaser
hypnosis, this isn't a dig at you, but if you do something similar in the future- know that minorities hair doesn't tend to straighten up like that, it feels
weirdly dehumanizing to see your culture get changed from Hawaiian completely to suburban white culture/outfits. If I could change it i'd look up/design
Hawaiian greaser fashion so they can still have the outfit designs, and jewelry as well.
I'd also temper it with the threat level, I feel like every time the characters came up with an idea or plan, they send buddyized Cynthia and I go "So just say goodbye to these three"
It's either run away from the threat or buddy and Lillie bursting through a door in the nick of time; four times when the player could of had an interaction with the villains. Like how did
the buddyized people even find them at the hideout? Did they read the script? And I think it's weird that Lillie would devote her time to rescuing a guy she knew for maybe a week to the point
of literally punching a villain and yelling "give him back." over her brother and mother- it feels too wish fulfilling, I'd probably have her say "You're a monster, you attack my home, my friends and my mom- Give Her back, Give gladion back and give buddy back too!" it could still show the bond without feeling Lillie's kinda obsessed with a grown man. Also have her tail to her brother at the end- she can still join the OC rescue squad but have the player give gladion a call and they talk.
I'm also not a fan of some characters being written back to square one, Guzma doing something as stupid as to open vital things goes against character growth from the last game.
And Lillie being written back to square one so she can learn the same exact lesson again is a bit silly. I also wanna say I feel kris being here was kinda unneeded cause she literally doesn't do anything and you fight her once; it be better if you replaced Hilda with kris hilda is a garbage human and giving her a pokemon and paying her would literally make no one like or care about her.
people typically don't like people who treat you like trash, remember this is a pokemon game after all. So I'd change that or remove them since they don't show up again- also what was with the incineroar? Was that evil buddy's? Why was it just roaming around? there's so many random loose ends that are kinda unsatisfying? We never find out if Cynthia is okay, or the professor despite his wife seeming....okay? Again despite my complaints it's a creative story, with likeable characters and cool designs but it just needed some extra tweaks to polish it right up!
As a huge fan of Alola, I love this series. Glad to see its conclusion. It’s great to see it all come together, especially with the art and music.
It’s so cool to see part 4 finally finished after all this time! I would love to do a playthrough of this hypothetical game!

Hello! I don’t normally comment on videos, but it was wonderful to see this to its completion. I remember a few years back you had lost progress on it and that it really affected you. I watched the original videos when I was housesitting for family. I know you’re focusing on Buddymon right now, but I wanted to say thank you. I really enjoy the thought and storytelling you’ve put into your “what if [x] was a Pokemon region” series as well as the Buddyverse. I’m excited to see where you take this in the future if you work with it again, and thank you for your hard work on this sequel video.

Is it just me or would professor Kukui actually read a bedtime story to pyukumuku anyway? I am so happy you were kind enough to do this compilation and finish the whole story. I like the ending so much but it also broke my heart a little I hope Slodge Buddy is ok out there, and something gives me a feeling that this buddy AU where Mohn doesn't remember and reunite with his family had Lusamine end up stolen and or running away into ultraspace with evil Buddy somewhere and that later on they return happy schmoopy themselves and not evil because it turned out honestly both of them only ever went evil seperately because they were lonely (which was confirmed anyway) and meeting eachother they grew close and the Buddy that lost his Cherry just ends up with Un-buddyized Lusamine from Buddy returns and Greaser Buddy is out there somewhere still, alive, roughed up maybe sent to another time or dimension maybe set up to be evil again too

It’s great to see this series finally completed! The final part was infinitely creepier than I could’ve expected! I’ve noticed how the nihilucid mist almost seems to mirror medical malpractices of the 1900s (ie. Lobotomies and other forms of human testing) and the tapes sent actual chills down my spine!

Wow, this is actually so nostalgic! I remember first getting into your streams through your team buddy editing streams and then sticking around for buddymon. Really feels like a trip down memory lane. Anyways, I'm really glad the story is finally finnished and I can't wait for whats next with buddymon or whatever you decide to work on!

I know working on Buddymon is taking most of your time, I would love another Smash Moveset because I enjoyed seeing your concepts for Masked Royal and Master Chief
I think it would be funny that regardless of your name Buddy just calls you "Player"
I've missed the team buddy story, the last video I remember probably had an iffy ending, I think I remember that in that sequel story from a few years ago, dapper buddy just clashed the world's with no warning, and won.
But I'm glad that the evil team buddy from another dimension was gone, I'm sad that greaser buddy was killed off... BUT... I think I would like to see it come full circle with buddyverse Lillie getting a lead to find her Mr. Buddy.
Probably Paldea, Kitikami, or the Bluebarry academy (which is somewhere east to Unova, poetic for the boss we knew and loved to be back home), and when Lillie finds him teaching, and had tonal culture shock whiplash, the old, greaser, fun loving Mr. Buddy comes back in that hypothetical story, and finally does one more fight against team buddy story, before closing the series off in a good light.
Epilogue: Buddy, and the verbank slodges flies to Alola (we could also find Lillie's mother in the same regions I've mentioned.) And the aither family is reunited, stronger than ever, with Buddy and the rest of the gang go off in different directions, to protect their world by invading monsters, and parallel team buddy organizations, and they end up public heroes for their actions.
I unfortunately don’t have time to watch this video at the moment, but based on your previous work and some of the comments I know it’s gonna be great! I’m super hyped for buddymon and can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store!
I personally believe Buddy ended up in the same world as Elio/Selene and they are now working together to get back to their home
It's so great to see this story come to an end, though honestly I want so bad to see more and know that there is truly a more happy ending because it feels like it leaves a lot if doors open and a lot left to fix.

Jokes aside, I loved the first Team Buddy video and I loved this one even more! All the aesthetic changes were top notch, and I especially loved the vintage-horror-movie aspects/references sprinkled throughout the Aether Foundation arc!

Just finished watching it, its as good as I remember and more! I love the changes and additions! I have a theory below, hope people like it.
Theory: I assume Mr Buddy somehow is transported to the Buddymon Universe and somehow causes that to happen/develop. Maybe even call back to events of Team Buddy Returns if he is an Ally.
Either way if its true or not, im glad we got to see this story to the end and I can’t wait to see more of your work, keep it up Mr Buddy!

Do a Postgame in which the Player talks to Gladion, Lillie, and Hau about trying to save Mr. Buddy and Cherry. Then suddenly, The Player, Lillie, and Gladion were teleported to a mysteriest world where everything is reverse and upside down. Before you, Gladion, and Lillie went exploring, Lillie finds Mr. Buddy's sunglasses and then Lillie trying to find Mr. Buddy and also Cherry as well
Imagine if mr buddy ended up in paldea, wonder how he would react to all the paldean Pokemon. Bet he'd love quaxly.
When the world needed him most, Mr. Buddy pulled through!! The amount of detaul you put into this is INSANE.
You never got the Ice, Psychic, Dragon, or Steel Z-Crystals. I think that you would get the Psychium Z at Haina Desert and the Icium Z in Mt. Lanakila like normal, and the Steelium Z after defeating Elite Four Molayne, and the Dragonium Z after defeating Champion Ryuki.

I'm so happy that part 4 is finally complete, I've been waiting for so long to see the complete version, and now we have the full game. This was honestly an amazing idea you've come up with and I can't wait to see what you have instore next for this saga. Like will the next story of this saga take place in a future game like in Paldea? or maybe gen 10? I'd love to see that some day. Keep up the great work and don't stop doing what you love doing.

It’s cool to see the ending of this saga and I love how Lillie got more silly and depressed as the story went on, my favourite of the new forms is probably Buddyized Gallade because I see swords and love it, I’m easily pleased.
Edit: I can also imagine a funny scenario where the recent Pokémon Peacharunt tries to feed its mind controlling mochi to someone who’s buddyized

Man, it's been so long that I actually forgot that the first three parts of this were already released. So when I was watching there were a bunch of moments where I felt his strong sense of deja vu, until the part with Acerola and Cynthia had me finally check the description to confirm I wasn't going crazy. Real happy I spent the evening watching this, and I have a feeling I'll be seeing a familiar greaser fall out of the sky when I finally get the chance to play Buddymon...
Glad to see this get sequel get a complete ending! I hope to see more about Team Buddy in the future, perhaps a final sequel to the series that focuses on finding Buddy and trying to bring him back while figuring out what exactly happened to evil Mr. Buddy in the aftermath of the sequel. Of course that's up to you and if this is it for Team Buddy, then I'm happy with everything we got and I really enjoyed the story
