Gold is the best Pokedex holder and best character in Pokesep in my opinion. Absolutely goated
Gold's team is a nice fit for him as a character. He's always seen as the underdog in every plot he's seen in (being added last in Oak's list of special Pokedex Hilder abilities, being Oak's last resort to deal with the Team Rocket Arceus threat after Crystal was busy and Silver was MIA), except Emerald where he stole the rookie's spotlight for a bit.
So it's only natural that his team consists of Pokemon that are, in an objective sense, not that great. Just like him, they a gang of underdogs that once underestimated, catch you by surprise and can overwhelm you with their team work.
The thing I really love about Gold's pokemon is that a number of them are pokemon that are generally underrepresented, like Sunflora, and ambipom (who was just an Aipom for the climactic battle with the Masked Man, yet still played a pivotal role). On paper he probably has one of the weakest team of all dex holders, but he does make up for it with strategy (aipom baton passing its agility boosts to Sudowoodo.). Not to mention the unconventional personalities of some pokemon, like naughty Togebo.
Gold’s Team definitely feels “Trickster-type” to me🃏😎

i like how Gold has a togepi that is supposed to be like a cute pokemon but is actually a cool and badass fella who im pretty sure has a similar personality to gold and same goes with the gambling habit
he's smol but boi seeing him evolve was the best thing you will ever see in a manga
it went from being just a baby to have a powerful final form using the power of friendship
and what makes this evolution even better is that it supposed to use a shiny stone to evolve to it's final form
Gold is literally the embodiment of best character, he's like Joseph Joestar but as a pokémon trainer,i always found super cool the pokémon that Gold uses,since i always liked them after playing gen 2 for the first time,not to mention being strong as heck despite his team weakness,even Arceus gived my boi some respect
Gold is my second favourite character in Adventures, behind Black, he has an awesome personality and I love how the majority of his Pokemon are similar in nature to him, my favourites of his team are Aibo, the Pokemon I think is closest to him and perfectly mirrors his character (he reminds me of Abu and Aladdin lol) and Exbo his powerhouse starter who definitely fits Gold well, the growth they went through together in GSC is very memorable for me.
I also thought the parallel Polibo has with Red's Poli was a cool way to tie in their relationship and loved the combo they pulled off in the final battle of the Emerald arc. One of my favourite Dex Holder teams for sure.

I loved Gold’s somewhat unorthodox original flying method with the Remoraid and Mantine. That was my favorite part of his team just because of how funny it was to me as a kid
I love gold so much, I love his ability to breed pokemon with alot of skill. Like his skill to me could do some crazy stuff if he worked as a breeder
Personally i like Red more but i cannot deny that gold is the coolest pokespe character.

Aipom and AMbipom are my favorite pokemon , so seeing Gold use one along side one of my favorite starters really did warm my heart- I love this team sooo much
I wish we could get another series with gold as the main protag or at least playing a mentor role
I really like these kinds of videos I like learning about the Pokémon and personalities and moves without having to read the chapters fully so thank you and please do more :)
And here is Pokedex holder number 1 who if they made a Special/Adventures chapter on Legends Arceus is the one i would send back in time; it may be a minute before he discusses the other two dex holders😁

IDK if it was intentional by the localization team, but aipom/ambipom being named "aibo" is spelled like the japanese word for a close friend or partner, though it would probably be pronounced differently.

Did the Pokémon in the mangas always have six moves?
Not at one time I assume they’d rotate moveset but we don’t really know exactly what moveset people had at what times
I always felt his team was kinda underwhelming aside from tybo and togekiss🫤
