Just bought this and used it for the first time, absolutely love it. Cut quality is great and it bags way better than my toro ever did. Worth every penny imo
No BS I like it more than any of the other models I've used over the years.
Is the torque in the 18in the same as the 21in?
Nice video. I purchased my mower May of 2022. It is an outstanding mower. The only small gripe I have with it is the mulch plug leaks grass . Cut quality is excellent with the high lift blade which I noticed you had. The drive system is buttery smooth and operates exactly the way my Honda HRX 217 does. Battery life is amazing and the light out put is perfect for that night time mow that I often do. Not a single issue in the 15 months of owning. The build quality is the best I personally seen on a battery mower. There is a fun factor of using this mower that I can't really explain. 👍
I haven’t noticed that with mine yet but the cut quality is very good 👍🏻
@TurfCulture Maybe they fixed after getting complaints. Doesn't mean much to me since I mostly bag.
Does it cut low enough?
I’m looking to buy a mower but not sure that 25mm is low enough. The honda i was looking at cuts at 16mm. I’m so torn between the two. I really want the Milwaukee though.
Good review. Seems like a solid contender in the battery market. I still can’t get over the fact any 21” mower is over $1000 though.

It's the Milwaukee tax. It's a tax I'll pay more and more happily with every Milwaukee tool I buy, but of course, it's a tax that seems to increase the likelihood of a divorce, with every Milwaukee tool I buy.
I’ve used a few different battery mowers and it’s by far my favorite! My only complaint is the cost of additional batteries for my uses as a supplement mowing lawns on the side with it and it seems to be a little bit of rear axle play between the wheels and the axle.
I haven’t noticed any play on mine, could it be a faster that is loose? Overall great mower!

Ego is the best. So many videos have proved this. Milwaukee is right behind it
Not sure I agree completely agree with you on that but yes they are close. EGO just released a mower that is comparable to the M18 specs.
@@TurfCultureall you have to do is search here on RUclips best mower. EGO comes up number 1 on all channels who runs their test and proved why EOG is better. I'm not making this up. Either search or buy ego's top mower and compare the 2. EGO has more mowers to choose from where Milwaukee does not. Don't be a Milwaukee fan boy, do research. Both are great mowers, no doubt, EGo is rated higher

I bought the Milwaukee electric mower 2 years ago. If found they cut to be ok but definitely not as good as the John Deere JX75 gas mower it had replaced. Initially the charge lasted long enough to do my 5000 sq. foot lawn. But in the 2nd year the battery endurance started dropping. I could no longer do my whole lawn on one charge. Here's what no one is mentioning about electric lawn mowers. The cost to replace the batteries is staggering! The 2 batteries for this mower cost $500 to replace! So, if you want to spend half of the initial cost of the mower to replace the batteries every 2 years get one of these.
Another reason I am disappointed with this mower is that it does a very poor job of getting up leaves in the fall. I have to borrow my neighbor's gas mower to get leaves up. Just doesn't seem to have much suction. I ordered the optional "high lift" blade but that didn't seem to make any difference.

Looks like it shares a lot of the same chassis parts as the Greenworks/Stihl. Similar height adjustment hardware, handlebar, and steel deck.
This battery mower sims to have a hight RPM them most others. Witch in my opinion help tremendously on cut quality.
High RPM and high lift blades create a lot of lift 🛫
I was amazed how heavy this mower was when it got delivered to my house 😂

New M18 owner here. Rural property . . . very rough and weedy. Hilly also.
Replaces a gas manual push mower, 21 years old, purchase price $400CDN in 2003.
Gas mower still worked fine but my knees no longer appreciated pushing it up the hills.
All that said.
I am perfectly happy with the performance of this mower but under no illusions about the cost/benefit ratio of a battery powered device where replacement batteries cost, here in Atlantic Canada $675 after taxes!

And those batteries are ALREADY obsoleted by the new, even more costly "FORGE" batteries from Milwaukee.
So, this mower is absolutely not to be recommended to the budget conscious!
But, I'd likely do it over again.

Can you test it with the Gator blade(HP version) from Milwaukee? Would love to see the improvement in mulching
I am using the Milwaukee mulching blade on the mower in this video. They sent it to me and I swapped out the blades before using the mower.
I’m interested in this mower. Do they sell the bare tool option yet? All of my tools are Milwaukee… the only thing I haven’t tried yet is their lawn equipment.
I’m wondering if they require two batteries to double the voltage rather than capacity. I’m guessing that’s why they only sell it with the two batteries included.
Agreed, I don't believe they want you using smaller batteries as that will impact performance.
Dont think Milwaukee will ever do tool only on this mower.

When I heard Honda......
was goin to stop makin GAS mowers, I went and brought TWO (around $600 dollars each) at Home Depot.
But then my local Home Depot.... started stocking these battery power Milwaukee mowers. 😮
Long story short....
I returned the TWO gas Honda mowers.

Do you notice any pain, discomfort, or numbness in your thumbs while using this mower? Also do you notice any rust on the steel deck?
Cant say that I have experienced any of those symptoms while using the mower.

I have a Ego its nice i cut one time its cool.
The mower is just too heavy with an unneeded steel deck that can rust. It should have been a polycarbonate deck or similar to lighten it up. Thats why I would prefer the EGO 10amp mower as its lighter, just as powerful and costs less too.
The reason it has a steel deck is because the mower is marketed to the commercial market, even if it does form rust after a few years that does not affect the mower's ability to cut grass. The EGO is a nice mower as well and I really like all of the EGO equipment that I own. Poly decks are a very nice option for a homeowner but steel is preferred for commercially used equipment.
Makes me think they cut a deal with Honda since Honda left lol. They look insanely similar in many aspects
The deck looks similar but that is really about the only similarity to Honda

Double cut it with side discharge. You'll double cur the lawn faster than single cut with the bag on. It will scatter the clippings better to

Not worth $1000. I can still get a Honda gas mower for $500.
1. The cheapest Honda mower is actually $549 and 2. Honda is exiting the lawn mower market 3. This M18 is a commercial mower and the cut quality exceeds any of the residential Honda models and I have tested them all.
@@TurfCulturealso half of that $1000 cost for the Milwaukee is a rapid charger and 2 M18 12.0HD batteries which work with any of your other Milwaukee equipment. If you take the batteries and charger out of the price it’s actually very competitive
