My favorite cue for learning the upright torso position is to "sit the glutes" into the dip. As in your experience, I see a lot of people dip in a similar fashion to their front squat, where the torso may lean ever so slightly forward on the descent. The cue is not meant to get you to actually lean backwards, but to help you in finding the correct upright torso position, which feels like sitting the glutes into position as opposed to focusing mainly on the legs. Leaning backwards in any manner will reduce stability and power output potential in your drive, so no need to exaggerate the movement. All said, I'd suggest videoing yourself from the side trying this out. I hope it will help you in finding a more controllable dip position, and I think you'll also find that makes head whip easy to manage, if you experience any significant amount. I'd love to hear what you think, as I'm relatively new to training the movements myself! Thanks for the great video.

That's really helpful! I'm always so lost with where my feet are even after lifting with different coaches for over a year.
I've always heard "back knee down", but never "back knee to where your feet were". I'll have to give that a shot. Thanks, GS.

How can you expect to be taken serious when you’re wearing a mask on a video?
Although mask isn't necessary, I like it. It's a sign of the times
Take the mask off seriously.
