I have a 2003 F7 and love it! Has low miles and the way they look, I still believe are one of the coolest looking machines out there! I don't see spending a whole lot of dough as well on newer stuff. Besides it is way easier to work on. Looking for another for my son. Also, one of the best mods you can do is a fuel restrictor which leans the fuel out. Gives approximately 15hp gain and is a simple and a cheach mod. Best and first thing to do in my opinion. Great video!
Hey Jack,I liked your vid. I like to see guys our age with the same enthusiasm for the sport and still ride hard and aggressive. I still have my 06 gade and believe upgrades keep it as potent as the new sleds.
Great vid. I had a ZR and Firecat.. Personally the Firecat was not an upgrade from the ZR.. But if you want a better Firecat just get the Crossfire. The chassis is more forward...
Just moved back up north 2018 from being in the south for 25 years. Been looking for a cheap sled to ride with buddies. Been looking at a 04 firecat with an ugly seat on it. Now i know what it is, and what it does. Going to buy that sled now. Lol. Was avoiding it because i thought stock looked better. Well, im 6'4" And my knees are bad and dont bend as far as they should. Will be much more comfortable with this higher seat. Thanks for your vid! Just helped me out.
I don't care if they are 10+ years old now and are kind of old school compared to the new stuff, the Firecats are still some of, it not the coolest machines out on the trail! Ive got a 2005 F6 Sno Pro, in '05 Arctic Cat added a taller, firmer seat stock that I find pretty comfortable. I've ridden a 2003 F5 before, the seat on that was horrible, it was way too low and it felt way too soft, I can see why the 03-04's benefit from an upgrade to a Boss seat!
Definitely don’t put two feet on the running board when carving, You are relying on speed to carve. Get one foot hanging off the sled that’s whites it’s called wrong foot forward.
What is your height and weight ? Im looking to purchase an 03-06 F7 and a Boss would definetly be my first Mod for that rider forward "Dirtbike" style seating position. Is this what i can expect with this seat ? Thanks for the great video !!
Doug Vine Hey Doug. 5'10" 180lbs. That is exactly what you can expect from the Boss Seat. Transforms the sled. I can't recommend it enough. The F7 is a riot!
Sorry but I'll keep my F7 all original. I like it the way it is. Original seat skis everything. My seat is compfortable to me. I'm not putting those ugly ass boss seats on my cat. Y'all can keep those seats. That boss seat does not look good on the firecats anyway. That's just me
2 grand for a sled 9 years ago and now folks want $2500 or more for these in 2024.

You should practice carving, its fun in fields

What did you add behind the seat? It makes it look much nicer vs when I see others that are lacking that.
