I had 2 2003 f7's both standards. The one I did a y pipe, pipe mod, timing key and 06 map. I ran 200 plus chisels at all times along with some good clutching. It was the benchmark for all my friends to race with there new 800's and even 1000's. The 03 was the lightest. Thinner bulkhead, less bracing, and 10 Tooth driver's which equate to it being the fastest. Not the most durable the bulkheads where prone to cracking easier. The 03 map was lean in the midrange and fat at the top end. The 06 remapping fixed that. My other 03 was my race sled for grass, ice and asphalt. I modded every inch of that one. Chassis, tunnel, skid etc. Cpc 1000 engine with ceramic jaws twin pipes. 220hp plus 2 stages of spray. But back to the stock 03 yes it was the fastest. But get an 06 standard with reverse( had chaincase insteD of diamond drive? Add 10 Tooth drivers. And you have a stronger chassis 03 f7.
Firecat was a super fast sled. I had a 2004 F5 that would rock most 600 class but I doubt it was the fastest Cat. Thinking the Thunder Cat was king. Now with the new tech has with the 998 turbo and new 858 2 smoke the F7 would be far down the line. As much as I love the vintage speed demons they simply can't compete. The Suz was a bullet prove motor and very fast for its time. Great video, thanks for sharing
A whole bunch of fast in that garage...sweet...I had 2 1997 ext 580 deluxe...those machines on a nice trail would keep up with anything..amazing machines for their displacement....well over 100mph was amazing...would love to find a nice thundercat nowadays...also had a 95 zrt 800 triple triple...rocketship...
Owned them all nothing faster than the turbo sleds not even close. But my F7’s were very fast for there time still are. Still own my 2010 Z1 turbo ext making 300 hp fastest sled Ive ever owned. My 17 ZR6000r XC is fun but doesn’t even come close to my old turbo lol!! Wish i still owned my 04 F7 sno pro it was my favorite F7. Also owned a 03 and a 06 F6 with D&D big bore kit. Iv owned so many snowmobiles threw the years F7 was definitely one of my favorites.
Yes I’ve owned them all, 03 fire cat, 01 SRX 700, 99 machz, and the 98 Tcat, all stock except gearing and clutching, stock for stock, nothing came close to the TCat,, the F7 would take the TCat for about 500 feet, then it was nothing but the tail lights, raced them all every weekend for 10 years, nothing touched the TCat until the 4 strokes came along and put the turbo on them, then I was done because I wasn’t going to spend 20 k on sleds when all you won was a trophy or a ribbon, and top prize was back then about $400
@@chrisbrann7733 i drag raced ice snow and grass for many years.starting with a 93 zr 440 all the way to a heavy mod 1500.we raced 660’ and later in the years 500’.my stock 03 f7 would run up into the 800 improved classes.i did reeds,y pipe,pipe and can,a d&d power authority controller.which put my f7 in the 700 improved class.that sled along with said mods,gearing and clutching held its own in the 1000cc classes.i still have it along with a zrt 600 thats is a rare 711 D&D motor,an 02 zr 800 with a 1050 cutler,and the heavy mod 02 t cat 1500 psi heavy mod.my favorite sled was the f7 you literally trail ride it to the drag races,clean up and ride it home
That's a sno pro right? How much thread do you have exposed on the front shocks? I'm trying to dial in my Fighter Pilot. I had some bad darting got rid of that by removing a bunch of ski pressure but now it gets squirly when I slow down after a high speed run. Right now I have 2" of thread showing above adjuster thinking of going to 2.5"
If you don't keep up with the suspension maintenance it could happen, rebuild the suspension when it needs it and rebuild/replace the shocks when the springs get fatigued & it won't be an issue

Mine are adjusted tight because it gets sloppy. About 1.00 from full adjustment.
