I bought an antigravity battery about 5.5 years ago and installed it into 1980 CB750. I've had zero issues. The bike sat for about a year until I tried starting again. The battery had plenty of power to turn it over for several minutes. Very impressed.
Bought mine on 10 28 2019 and it just pooped out after some very cold weather, it seems to discharge overnight. But it was great until the 20 degree weather. Also lately I installed a ruby 7 headlamp and it draws crazy power wondering if that light combined with motorminded dashboard which includes a USB port, had any I'll effect. It's now Feb 15, 2023, so with no issues until lately it was a good purchase especially since the stock battery or oem crappery needed to be trickle charged 23 hours a day. Good battery!
I run Shorai batteries in my 2012 TE300, 2013 KTM 250XCW, and my 2004 Yamaha FJR1300. Although I bought their special charger, none ever need it. I ride all three bikes often enough. Love the light weight. The one in the TE is at least 5 years old. The one in the FJR is two years old and particularly impressive, as I may not ride that bike for a month at a time during the winter months. Doesn't matter, the battery cranks over that 4 cylinder engine every time. The 2-strokes spin over easily as well. I'm sold on these. I'm sure you can get the same experience and reliability from the AntiGravity brand as well.
Kyle recommends a CTEK charger for $87.00 for his lipo battery but I would suggest a $15.00 dollar lipo battery tender from AOMC. I’ve used one on my bike for over a year now and it’s never failed me. My 2 cents.
It would probably work for topping the battery off, but it would not even recognize it if it's in "sleep" mode, so it wouldn't be able to recharge it. The CTEK will recognize it, check for any damage, and recharge pretty quick. And it's fully automatic. They actually make Porsche factory chargers, so you know it's a quality brand. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. :)
Sanin Mulaomerovic: Well I’ve used this $15 charger for over a year so whatever it’s doing it must be right. The bike starts every time I push the button. So maybe sometimes you do get what you pay for even though it may be less.

Are you sure this battery will last that long? or 10 years as manufacturer claims that it will last twice as long as oem battery. I don't believe that My husband bought 2 new antigravity batteries, one works, other died after only 1 month and restart feature didn't work. Terrible product, a waste of money and I Don't trust it. Great video ! Never a critic, but adventure bikes have not had kickstarters for years, it's just technology going forward, soon we will laugh at the kickstart lever, you can roll start, with the exception of rekluse clutch people. We go as far as 70 miles, I guess it's anxiety thing, but I don't see an issue, unless you can't roll start.. Just opinion..
Look I've ran a 450r on the tougher single track. My bike sat in the shed at 6600 elevation on the stocker for about 3 to 4 months.. original battery, no charge. Lipo original is your best bet. Intermediate to pro perspective..
My local ktm dealer sold me a lithium 'fire power' battery last year. First experience with a lithium. It's extremely lightweight. No prior experience with the brand but the battery starts the 525 up really easy.
i own two 500 exc and never had a problem with its lithium oem battery as long as you use your bike regularly without even charging them at home and sometimes i go one month without using the bike
Were they the Anti Gravity brand? Considering lithium and the AG brand is $180 vs a Tusk for $110. The Noco $130 but does not have that restart feature either. Surprisingly the terminal connectors look better on the cheaper bats than the AG.
Since you tested these, did you get say 10 years out of the AG battery? AG makes all these claims of twice the battery life, which means based on the life I get from my AGM or flooded battery, I should get 15 to 18 years out of an AntiGravity battery.
I understand Lithium battery's need a charger for Lithium battery's,what I do not understand ,if the bike has a charging system for traditional "lead acid " battery's then how is it possible it will properly maintain the Lithium battery ? because if that's the case you wouldn't need a Lithium battery charger,Please explain ,When I looked into replacing my Traditional battery in my 06 Honda TRX450ER with a Lithium battery the research led me to believe the charging systems on bikes for traditional battery's are not sufficient,what makes this battery any different ?
If I remember right, this battery has a full BMS (Battery Management System) that regulates the amount of charge going to it. The built in circuitry would offload/discharge the constant charge going to it from the stator. Without that feature the battery would easily get over charged, swell up and likely catch on fire.
I have a fx-350 and went up to Taylor park this summer and ran out of juice on some dicey climbs. Bases on the fact that the bike is stock I want to upset as jt was geared too high. Planning on doing a stator upgrade to hopefully charge the battery faster and ad a light later on. This battery looks like another great idea. I am almost to the point where I want to wire another battery on the bike.

I dont understand why lithium batteries will charge fine on the vehicle but need a special charger if charged out of the vehicle. Can someone explain please?
When used in vehicles, it's voltage regulated and within specs, so the battery takes only what it needs from the charging system/alternator. However, most standalone lead-acid chargers have that "desulfation" mode during which the voltage runs pretty high (over 15V) and that can damage lithium cells. That's why lithium chargers are required. Their charging profiles are different as well. Lithium smart chargers like the one shown in the video will also check for cell disbalance, and will balance them out if needed by "massaging" the charge into them at specific voltage and duration. It's the safest and most effective way to recharge them.
I don't get the ktm aftermarket fan thing. Every Enduro video I see they overheat. So people put fans on them and it drains the battery? Doesn't it charge enough to power a fan? Never had a stator that wouldn't put out enough to maintain a battery. But not being able to add a Kickstart is a bad improvement. Even if it does save weight.
U should really know if this battery dead shorts lipo will start on fire and they burn really hard and fast, so if u screw up and wreck and dead short it will be on fire fast af
@@trebor2775 look into limitless lithium and the dead shorts that happen with there lipo, the lto will not catch fire but as far as I know the limitless r same chemistry and will burn
These are LiFePo4 and have a full BMS built in, and they are protected, so they are much safer than your average lithium battery. I've been using Antigravity batteires for years now without any issues. One of them is a tiny motorcycle battery that I'm using in my car! :)
Can't go wrong with either, KTM is more mainstream, bigger dealer network, easier to get parts IMO. Most likely hold it's value better, simply because they are so popular currently.

U can use a lithium on anything just make sure it isn't like a weird six volt system, I use them for car audio and we make and build some of the largest packs and cells u would imagine, I run lithium in my infiniti in my trunk, but if u don't have fusing on your stick wire put it in, a dead short will cause a fire
One of the best things about lithium that he didn't say in this video is u can run this down to 0.0 volts and it will come back to 100% capacity a sla or agm battery after it goes down to 30-40% depth of discharge it can lose 15-20% of the battery's storage and cranking capacity, and if u do it again it will be even more substantial, if u run it to 0.0 it will probably never come back to full strength, and lithium per battery is usually ten times stronger and will put out energy at go rates down to almost no voltage
You can use lithium in pretty much any modern bike with a solid state voltage regulator (13.4 - 14.4 V). It's fine even on classic bikes if you just update that regulator. Basically, those old mechanic regulators can stick and cause dangerous voltage spikes, and that can damage lithium batteries. I believe all bikes made after 1990 (or so) already came equipped with solid state regulators.

Was wondering when you were going to do this vid. Antigravity makes a great product the Shorai lithium iron battery is a great choice as well.

I've have a standard battery in my bike for over 8 years that I TRUST. So why should I switch?
So which is it, lifepo4 or lithium ion? It says it's Lifepo4 AND lion on the product page, and it has BOTH printed on the battery itself...
