I have used many, many riding pack over the years. None are better than this newly updated Klim Nac Pak. It holds everything I need and more. Very modular. Very well thought out. I paid $100 for this pack. This is not a paid review of any kind. You have to buy a water bladder separately.

No waist strap needed. That is the design. Hydration hose can go on either side. Don't knock it till you try it. Thanks for the peanut gallery.

Real hard to get behind a pack with no waist strap... The waist strap should take the majority of the load and the shoulders really should just be stabilizers. After having back surgery I'm pretty picky about what pack I wear. I'll give it a try at the store but I'm not convinced ;) Can you elaborate on why "no waist strap needed"? What's their science behind it?

For those interested in his tool kit.. pretty standard. Looks like he's got a flathead, 2 tire plug drivers, pliers, pressure reader, the little rectangle thing is torx sockets. enduro engineering axle wrench. a ktm socket handle. the upfront 3 pronged thing is a bunch of allen keys on each end and the other two are sockets ready to go with what looks like 8 mm 0 14mm. two other wrenches presumably 8mm and 10mm. The big one is a ktm multipurpose one which can be used for spark plug, tire spoon, and axle wrench. Can't speak of whats in alst one aside from the lighter and I would assume some zip ties. Pretty comprehensive. I would assume he'd have a spare spark, and those tire plugs and the goop in that baggie too.

Great pack. Been using this model since it was released around the end of 2018. Just some clarification that you can buy this pack with the water bladder included which brings the cost to $139. When I bring the drone I actually put the drone in the spot where Kyle has the tools and I have someone else in the group carry my tool pack ;). Group needs to help in dispersing the load. :)
Tip for the trail cutters. On the side "probe" holder you can easily slide in and use the included straps to secure a Silky big boy folding saw. Ride on!
Another tip. I have the Klim tactical vest that Kyle also has and the tool pack is the same. So when going back and forth between nac pak and vest I just move the tool pack between them.

I have and like the Nac Pak, and like that it doesn't have a waist strap. I also ride with a USWE Lizard pack and it doesn't have a waist strap either and NEVER moves around. USWE packs have NDM that keep them super secure. Now that I've ridden with these packs that don't have a waist strap and work very well, I've converted.

As a noob to dirt bike/enduro riding what is the advantage of a backpack vs bags strapped to the bike? I know real off-road bikes don’t have much in the way of space for bags or subframes etc like my DRZ400S and you want the bike narrow and light, but then again strapping 10+ pounds of gear to your back has its own drawbacks as well. Haven’t heard much talk about this so figured I’d ask the expert.

Oh and I thought I tried and purchased too many packs lol, whew 😂 I feel much better now 😝 The one that works best for me (petite frame sized person). I like the Osprey daylight pack. Its made well, stays close to your body and has good zippers with ability to carry water or insulate quick access food.

Love my zacspeed as well. I do like the Klim cell phone pocket setup.

No hideable waist belt is a huge oversight considering the weight it can carry (water, tools, etc)... Keeping my I Osprey on my back...

The way it is, you don't need a waist strap. It would get in the way
