Amazing info. Had no idea this plant has so many healing properties, heard about it in my childhood. All I remembered was that it’s good for the hair.

Thank you. First video of yours I've seen. Needed to identify what I thought was burdock. It was. Subscribed! Burdock into the smoothie! 😊

So im doing research on nutritional foods and looked up burdock and how to forage for it. By sheer coincidence, last week I was working on a property and my husband asked if this leafy plants were rhubarb. I said I had no idea what they were but I knew they weren’t rhubarb. Then my kids kept getting these super annoying burrs stuck all over their clothes so I made it a mission to gather up all the burrs and put them into paper bags so my husband could use them as kindling in the wood furnace. Now that I know it’s burdock I’ll probably grow a patch somewhere far away from where my kids play. I definitely don’t want to get rid of it now. 😅

I adored your effort in making this video! I am a harvester of what’s growing around me and I haven’t noticed this plant yet, but a friend gifted me some root. What would you say is its number one benefit?

Beautiful 🤩🙏💐 Too bad for us sheep farmers though, when those seeds devalue our fleeces at sale.

I had plenty of this plant in my house in Illinois. Grandpa even thought it was rhubarb because he makes wine with rhubarb. After checking, he found out it wasn't rhubarb. It's at the edge of my lawn between the grass and the woods.

Is it good? What does it taste like, those chips looked pretty hard, need some good teeth to eat those probably?

    • @forageforknowledge

They are quite tough. They would be much softer if you were to peel them first, but there is lots of nutrients and minerals in the skin.
A great way to enjoy them is to make tea then eat the root after boiling. It tastes just like artichoke to me!
