Absolutely stunning! I learned something also about 4 minutes into the video you poured the clear in between the two colors and said it would help separate them. Thank you. ☺
So simple steps and yet it turned out really pretty! I've watched a lot of resin art tutorials and i must say your output is one of the best and easiest to do! Yay! ❤❤❤
those coaster are just stunning. love the colors you chose. I also really appreciate you giving all the amounts you used. Really helps for all us beginners :)
Hi, what you do is great ! If I make/create a plate that I don't like, can I modify it ?How can I modify a resin plate ? = put it in the microwave to melt it? In hot water? Or with a paint stripper? Thank you so much.
This is lovely. I noticed you used a metal spoon and stick and I assume these can easily be cleaned and used again so that's great for the environment. I was wondering. Is there an alternate for plastic cups? Do silicone cups work? Just thinking of how to work with resin but in a sustainable way.
You could most definitely use silicone cups. These particular medicine cups are actually amazing as you can peek any dried epoxy out (carefully) and reuse them as well. They are from allegro medical.
Absolutely beautiful! I can't wait to try making these. Thank you so much for sharing/teaching. I love the way you put your resin in smaller cups. I will be doing it your way from now on. It's is easier to handle and less messy. Resin is a mess and is hard to mix if you mix a lot, and you don't know exactly how much to use per mold, especially for beginners. Just ask me why I know?! ;) I subscribed and gave a thumbs UP!
Thank you! I purchase them through Allegro medical. Sometimes they run free shipping and I stock up. You can also find them on Amazon. www.allegromedical.com/daily-living-aids-c519/medi-pak-medicine-cup-p573911.html
There are many different types/brands of resin. CCDIY is my favorite but any resin would work well for these shallow pours. Once you start doing deeper or larger ones a thinner resin or casting resin would be ideal.
I got everything to make these coasters. I LOVE them. I got everything this weekend. I just have to ask (since I'm pretty new at this) how much of the glitter do you put in your epoxy cups? Do you think it is 1/2t or 1/4t per cup? I don't want to over due and waste and I don't want to not make enough. Thank you!
Yay!!!! I can't wait to see what you create. Please tag me if you post them on Social Media. 🙏🥰 I would say I use about 1/² to a full tsp for 20ml of epoxy.
@@CNMDesigns I totally understand what your saying. I have quite a few of them on my table now. ;) Each set got better as they went, but still. Hopefully the ones I'm working on now will be almost as pretty as yours. Thank you for the encouragement. Now I must get back to my mad "scientist" geode resin lab...lol

I love the explanation and detail 👏👏
So elegant 😍
Thank you!
Is it fine to clean the Coaster with water and soap? or is there a specific way to clean the resin coaster?
Yes. I just use dish soap and warm water. The only thing I would recommend not doing is using a scrubby sponge as it may scratch.
@@CNMDesigns Thanks for your reply

@@CNMDesigns Thank you for the info.
When you pour into the medicine cups, are you pouring equal parts A/B? and how much of each in each cup? Amazing video! Definitely subscribed.
20ml in each cup for a total of 160ml. 10 of part A and 10 of part B in each cup. 😊
If you place hot cup on coasters do you have to spray with clear heat protectant?
No ma'am.
I dont have the blow torch so how can I without buying one so how to remove the bubbles?will hair dryer will work?
You can try and spray some 91% alcohol to pop the bubbles, or even a small handheld torch
It’s beautiful. What is the sealant that you used for edges.
Thank you. I seal it with Minwax polycrylic and just paint it on.
Amazing video 😍 what did u use to separate the two layers (blue glitter and white) ?
Thank you! I just put a little of the straight epoxy in between to help keep it separate. 😊
hi... i want to ask you that we have give another coat of clear resin.. when the coasters are dried fully after 24 hours
please help
That's personal preference. Of you have a smooth top coat it's not needed. But if you need to sand or cover any glitter then you can.
thank you
When mixing the glitter do ou mix both part A and B together as well? Btw coasters are really nice 🦋
Thank you. I mix A & B first and then add the glitter.
Can you use any type of resin or is it special resin for these coasters?
There are many different types/brands of resin. CCDIY is my favorite but any resin would work well for these shallow pours. Once you start doing deeper or larger ones a thinner resin or casting resin would be ideal.
How thick are these molds? Where did you get them .
