Marshall Faulk was a well rounded running back who run between the tackles and can catch passes out of the backfield
He was the greatest pass catching RB ot at least superstar RB ever and in today's game would be McCaffrey or even better
@@romegrey2600 Roger Craig boooi
@@bigtone7078 oh he's the truth too it's unforgivable that he's not in the HOF
Yes he is a perfect fit in todays offense he did everything on the field
@@bigtone7078Faulk better.
as a rams fan for 44 years, the Greatest show, was the only time I had 100% confidence we could win any game
Damn hakim and Tom Brady prevented our dynasty
I watched them win the Super Bowl 2 years ago against my rival Bengals(I’m a Steelers fan), and it was one of the greatest Super Bowls ever in my opinion, it was so similar to Super Bowl 43 in terms of how much happened throughout.
You’re lucky my team was hot garbage way back when
@@tleoipl37 You mean Ty Law.
@@gbrow1604 that but we tied the game with 2 mins to go
Watching this in 2024 and man it looked so cool man like nostalgia during that time 😅
The greatest show on turf was fun to watch. They should’ve got another Super Bowl
Hakim fumbled 2000 away and 2001 Tom Brady slicing check down a prevent defense in the last 2 minutes.
If the Tuck Rule was ruled a fumble, perhaps that would have been the case, because the Patriots would not have been there to stop them. Perhaps the Rams would have beaten another opponent.
@@deaniartIt either would’ve been Rams vs Steelers or Rams vs Raiders
Sucks the f*ckers from New England had to be on the top for 20 years and I’m happy they’re no longer at that level anymore.
the spygate tapes were destroyed by the commisioner;
he probably thinks they won that game, too.
My mom brought me to this game. I was a Saints fan but was so excited to see the Greatest Show on Turf. It was amazing. Thanks mom 😊
Watching in 2023, that turf looks insanely painful and hard to land on over and over.
Probably feels like the carpet in your cousins basement 😂
@@watermelonbanana1772 Hard af and burns your skin off easily.
I feel like this turf is a big reason for the many CTE cases in the past 30+ years
@@akeme25 It almost looks like a thin piece of carpet on concrete.

MARSHALL MARSHALL MARSHALL
Everyone talks about the 1999 Rams offense but this year's offense was even better!
Awesome. Rams basically started the playoffs this day. Had to win, and hope the Bears beat the Lions. I remember Marshall Faulk after the game getting the news on the field as he was doing the postgame interview with Pam Oliver. Then he put his game face back on, and said "YES!!! RECORDS DON'T MATTER NOW!!!"
Marshall is somehow thr most underappreciated RB ever imo because he's a top 5 RB ever easily who's never talked about anymore
He (and LT) were left off the RB selections for the 100th Anniversary Team. Insane...both with nearly 20,000 scrimmage yards.
Underappreciated? He's in the HOF.
@@armstrongQB1 Yeah I always thought that was weird, along with TO and Calvin Johnson not making it for WRs.
@@gbrow1604TO would have been on there if not for off the field issues. He also would have been a first ballot hall of Famer without those issues as well. Sadly, it was kind of predictable in his case.
@@armstrongQB1TO was not a media darling, didn’t mix well with his peers. Off field issues = legal, drug, or domestic issues. He didn’t have those.
plz post more greatest show on turf games
La’Roi Glover seems like a great choice for your forgotten elites series
The engine for the greatest offense ever.
Also, RIP to Norman Hand. Rams struggled to block this huge dude in three straight games that season.
Los Angeles Rams Against New Orleans Saints Was Member NFC West Division From 1970 To 1993 Thanks For Uploading
2000 Rams vs 2000 Ravens woulda been special.
The rams would’ve had to beat the vikings in the metradome and that would have been an extremely tough one
I doubt that against the Vikings, especially given the Rams won earlier that season plus given the Rams beat the Vikings in the 1999 playoffs (this 2000 offense was much much better, although the defense was worse) but especially given the Vikings NFC history..... 1998 😎😄
@@EricStuder89 bruh that 00 rams team was not a juggernaut like you think lol their defense was trash they gave up 30 ppg the vikings with randy moss would’ve torched that defense even mediocre offenses did y’all overrate them cuz they was the #1 scoring offense that team was one dimensional and that’s why they got a early playoff exit the 99 & 01 teams was far better
@@kevonsidek9737agree. I think I remember Warner going down for a few games that 2000 season. Had we not had Trent Green as our backup we wouldn’t have stayed alive, or won this game. Horns up 🐏
@@sergiocasillas6757 yeah they had a meltdown when Warner got hurt then when he came back he wasn’t the same
And then six days later these two teams would play each other in the Wild Card Round also at the Superdome but with a different result, the only playoff win for Jim Haslett and Aaron Brooks
Marshall Faulk, best all around RB of all time imo! also for those wondering, Warner got injured for half of the season, they would've easily won the west if Warner didn't get injured and Rams would've beat them in the playoffs if it werent for Hakims fumble
Omg, The Holiday season and The NFL, watching your favorite Team. It doesnt get better than that! Merry🎄Christmas everyone!!
Then the Saints ended up winning their first playoff game ever in their 34 year history up to that point against these same Rams the next week.
Who you got tonight?
They didn't have to break up the Rams and Saints in 2002.
If the NFL had been a lot more concerned with the geographic accuracy of the divisions in determining the new alignment, this would have been the alignment:
AFC:
E: BUF, NE, NYJ, PIT
N: CIN, CLE, IND, KC
S: CAR, JAX, MIA, TEN
W: DEN, HOU, OAK, SD
NFC:
E: BAL, NYG, PHI, WAS
N: CHI, DET, GB, MIN
S: ATL, NO, STL, TB
W: ARI, DAL, SF, SEA
The Rams would have been right at home in the NFC South as Missouri was a slave state prior to the Civil War. Rams-Saints games between 1995-2015 had the added element of both teams being on the Mississippi River.
With the Rams returning to LA, they would move back into the NFC West and the Cowboys into the NFC South, thus ending the Rams-Saints divisional rivalry after 46 seasons.
@@LogoAttitudeJerry Jones and the NFL wanted to keep the Cowboys in the division with the biggest markets so they could get the most eyes at the peak time for the NFL audiences outside of the primetime games. Always follow the money.
@@17thNO the Bay Area, Phoenix and Seattle are pretty big markets, and so are Atlanta and Tampa Bay
39 TOUCHES 🥵
2:59 "Warner who complained of headaches" Dude he had a concussion no wonder he threw 2 tds 8 ints after returning lol
things have def changed for the better
The days before Tom Brady came into our NFL lives although he was a rookie in 2000.
Yep, the year he was an unknown rookie qb behind Drew Bledsoe, who would’ve thought a year later he would be holding the Lombardi Trophy

This was the last when the NFL began the season on the first Sunday.
This is why the running back position is so underrated and it is crazy how little running backs are respected now. They need to be respected, they need to be paid!!!
Ricky Williams was on the sideline with a 1000 yrds rushing for the season !
Good memories watching this the rams getting in the playoffs somehow with playoff scenario miracle
Saints got their revenge the following week, in the process winning a playoff game for the first time ever. That loss was avenged 18 years later in the NFC title game by which point the Rams returned to LA (and this game featured a controversial no-call).
I was so mad the Rams won that game! But the Saints got the last laugh in the playoffs. Thanks Az Hakim!
You mean because of that controversial call/no-call later in the 2018 NFC Championship game?
@@nategrant_96nah he talking bout the 2000 playoffs when dude muffed the punt and lost the rams the game
@@nategrant_96and that’s why the shams lost the 2018 Super Bowl 😂😂😂 they weren’t suppose to be there
@@BlueKidSwag Yeah the Rams entered Super Bowl LIII with the stench of the controversial NFC Championship Game lingering around them, and then the game itself cemented their fraudulence.
@@BlueKidSwag y’all really need to stop acting like the aints didn’t have multiple chances to win that game
Ah yes, back when New Orleans was in the west and Arizona was in the east.

Awesome video
This is the best RB I've ever seen.
Never seen me with your ___. And you mean RickyWilliams? Yea him and torry holt kilt it this game
I would say Torry Holt did a LOT including set up Faulks TD record
That dreaded astroturf back in the day.
Hell yeah
Faulk the goat
Saints won the very next week in the playoffs was at the game
Rams would've won if Hakim didnt fumble :(
I remember the big man Norman Hand (RIP) said it weren't gonna happen in that playoff game the following week and he held Marshall Faulk in check with the rest of the "Heavy Lunch Bunch". I was rrunning around going crazy all over the streets of New Orleans! Our first playoff win!!! Who Dat!!!
The Greatest Show on Turf was THEM
🔥🔥🔥
The Rams needed to send The Bears a gift basket. I wondered if The Rams got past The Saints if they went back to The Super Bowl
I doubt it. The defense was a disaster that year.
I remember watching this hoping the Rams would pull through.
And the next game the upset 😂😂😂
The rams and saints played each other the week after this one in the wildcard round the rams where en route to completing the greatest comeback in playoff history at the time and dude muffed the punt and lost them the game
Yup, Az-Zahir Hakim muffed the punt and Saints fullback Brian Milne recovered the ball to seal the victory and end the Rams Super Bowl title defense.
@@TheGameCube64Guy the rams didn’t even get a chance to try to win it lol I wanted to see that hot offense touch the field one more time I had no doubt in my mind that they wouldn’t have won that game

Kinda wish rams and saints were still divisional rivals
