Storyline:
Pale Arrow is a white man raised since a boy by the Pawnee Chief. With wagon trains now encroaching on Pawnee land, the Chief sends Pale Arrow to be with the white people. Now known as Paul Fletcher, he takes the job of wagon train scout. The Chief wants peace but when he dies, Crazy Fox takes over and now leads the Pawnees in an attack against that wagon train.

"This film begins with a wagon train heading west and directly through the land controlled by the Pawnee. As it so happens, one wagon in particular has lagged behind the others and is subsequently attacked by a Pawnee named "Crazy Fox" (Charles Horvath) who shoots an arrow into an older settler by the name of "Uncle Tip Alden" (Francis McDonald) before setting fire to the wagon and riding off with the livestock. Fortunately, another Pawnee named "Pale Arrow" (George Montgomery) happens to come along right afterward and surgically removes the arrow from Uncle Tip's shoulder and then takes him and his daughter "Meg Alden" (Lola Albright) to the edge of where the rest of the wagons have camped for the night. Not long afterward their only scout decides to quit and so with nobody else available to guide them through the Pawnee territory they accept the offer of a stranger who agrees to help them out. What they don't know is that this stranger is none other than Pale Arrow who may or may not have an ulterior motive. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this was a basic Western which, quite frankly, covered all of the bases if nothing else. I would love to see the action packed old knights movies.
If you really want to see a great Indian move go to stolen women with Michael Greyeyes they speak Navaho and English. Michael is drop dead gorgeous you won't be disappointed. It's a western also.

When the single wagon got attacked at the beginning, the cows attached to the back of the wagon all suddenly disappeared!
The other Pawnee got the cows to use in a feast.

I see the funniest things in these old movies. This one has an Indian wearing pants that are more like slacks than buckskin. Suppose to be set in 1855, so no repeating rifles or pistols.

You don’t know very much about the Pawnee. We lived in Northern Kansas, Nebraska and the Dakotas. We didn’t have forests so much so we had earth lodges. This movie isn’t historical accurate.

Look, back in the day there were very few native American actors. Some Greek or Mexican actors played native Americans.(Like Recardo Maltebon for example) That's how it was then. I'm not defending Hollywood. Most of the time now I hate Hollywood. But it was different then. Yes, Jay Silverheels was around then, but few others. So we have this ridiculous legacy from that time.
It's called acting. Don't watch it then.
