This is the first time I've ever seen this classic movie on RUclips filled with Canadian mounties, renegades and a beautiful innocent woman. RIP TO MR.GEORGE MARTIN.
So, why in the world would the leading man throw that nice modern rifle in the river, when fifteen minutes before they were talking about where they were going to get guns?
Way too much new leather to be realistic. The Mounties came about in the 1870s or around there I believe but I’m not sure if the Hudson Bay Co. Still held that much power by then.
Lever action breech loading rifles in the days of ball & powder muzzle loaders only??? real fine historical accuracy there. also in the hey day of HBC there was no Northwest Mounted Police yet
Clearly not shot anywhere near Eastern Canada-- more like the Bonanza set. And the Hudson River is not in Canada, unless they mean Hudson's Bay. Movie should have been made by Eastern Anglos and Francophones.
With lever action carbines and revolvers, that were not invented for at least 170 after the era of this movie, you would think they could hit more than a wine bottle hanging on a tree.
Gee! I was just going to mention that myself. Some of the rifles have ram rods putting them back to the mid 1840s to mid 1860s, while other rifles are lever action. I wonder what time period this is supposed to be. Meanwhile the Captain is wearing sergeant stripes.
If the time is of fur trading withHBC that would put it from pre American relvelution to about the war of 1812. long before Canada as a country & the 'mounties'. ( & lever action, breech loaders, cartrige ammo, paper $$ ) @@majorronaldmandell7835
Goofy timelines . The fur trade was nearly finished in the 1840s,and the Northwest Mounted police came about around 1870 as a military force to quell rebellions in Western Canada.

This could be interesting to watch, as I know Amando de Ossorio for his fun horror films.
This movie should have better editors as the lever action rifle wasn't made until around 1860's and this movie was the 1750-80
An double action revolvers
1837-1838 was the correct time period.
Nice fort! Very tall walls!
Quite Entertaining Movie.
Nice movie 5 stars 🌟

My step father, a ww11 Korean war vet. Great Great grandfather maped the Hudson and it is named after him.
HUDSON RIVER MASSACRE, also known as REBELS IN CANADA , REVOLT IN CANADA, and THREE FROM COLORADO.
Revenge for his brother's death but so forgetful with his rifle 😂😂
Indeed, absolutely stunning golden blond, unfortunately too skinny and short height!

👍👍good move
The 'half-breed' Metis lived in western Canada. The prairies & further north, not in Quebec & New York
At 55.42 so much of the fighting is the same just from different angles. That’s why the movie is long. Happens in a lot of movies 😂

Navacerrada, Madrid, Spain, and other locations in Spain.
So, the girl with the slit eye’s ram rod, cap and ball rifle suddenly became a repeater.
